I think I'm getting FIRED...(long, sorry)

Her employer-SEARS-has told her any more occurances and they will have to let her go because of the "safety of the other employees" was thier reason.

Hmmm, So staying at your work station and having an accident, that might drip onto the floor, where someone might step and slip helps provide safety to the work place?????? I'd like to know if OSHA has a chapter on that one.

I think the perfect solution is to serve these assholes (ha) super exlax brownies and not let them get to a bathroom. Let them see just how it feels.

I would love to know the same thing Beavs. I think it may be sanitary issues as sometimes she does not make it to the bathroom and even though she wears a depend that doesn't always contain it and she has said that once she left a trail. She was so humiliated. :(

Your poor mom! I couldn't even imagine having a conversation like that with someone and making them feel so low. Perhaps such people lack the ability to put themselves in someone else's shoes. There has to be a way to handle such things discreetly and tactfully.

Heh heh heh! I'd call OSHA on them too. :p

Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if they "let me go" while i'm recovering from my surgery for 2 weeks. I'm just so sick and sad of all of what's happened (not this incident, ALL of what has happened to me and what I've seen happened to others as I've worked there.). anyway,...

my company last week had another downsizing (the first in Feb) and 2 of the people i knew were let go while they were on vacation (27 years and 10 years with the company). One they got at home and left him a message (it's the only company he ever worked for!). The other they couldn't get on the home phone, so they called on the cell phone while she was out of the house running errands! All this while the ceo negotiated a new contract with the board of directors to received millions in cash if HE decides to the leave the company on his own or if the company kicks him out. NO MERCY in this market, every man for himself. I hope you find something real soon, nobody should have to work under the circumstances you describe. Even if you do get laid off, it's their loss. Remember when one window of opportunity is lost, another one opens.

I just want to tell all of you thank you so much for your support and good ideas! It's made this experience a little easier to handle with you all helping me! I love you ladies! Thank you thank you thank you!

ROFLMAO! Now that's HILARIOUS!

Alana, thanks. I was hoping make you laugh! I just want to say that I do shop at Walmart...unfortunately, it's all I can really afford (I wish I could just buy bulk at Costco and Sams like I used to before DS, kids are expensive but so worth it). I relunctanly trudge in there twice a month to get "stocked up" and I see many employees who appear depressed, disgruntled or perturbed about something. I always try to treat them with a little extra kindness, because I know if I don't enjoy going there to shop, I can only imagine what it's like to go there to WORK!

In fact, this thread reminds me of one of those people. She's my favorite cashier and I practically know her schedule and look for her each time I'm there. She is the sweetest lady and bags my groceries awesome (I bring my own "green" bags)! I've seen her on good days and bad days too. I think it is clear from this thread and from what I see from experience that huge corporations like Walmart can treat employees carelessly.

Whatever may come it, I hope everything goes in your favor.
