Yes, I'm married, and yes, he's (probably) gay, but who the heck cares?!

Our TiVo cut off his performance last night (arrrgh!!!) but my wonderful husband bought it for me from iTunes. DANG, Adam is just so darn good!!

I don't even care if he doesn't win American Idol, that guy has one heckuva career lined up for himself. Him singing "Mad World" gave me chills.

Wasn't his performance incredible? He did Mad World better than TFF ever did it!

I was fortunate enough to be watching live last night, so I saw his performance. I was so pleased that Simon gave him the credit he deserved.

I keep thinking how can Adam NOT win this thing? His talent is so far beyond the level of the rest of the contestants, that it's not even really a contest.
 
Adam will probably win but I don't like him much. I think he's a bit arrogant (sp). He's good, but I think some of the other are more humble and deserving of the title. Arrogance just turns me off I guess. But he is good. I like Kris and Danny.

Me too!

I too am married and still have a bit of a crush on Adam. I don't even usually like high shrieky voices on male singers (I have a hard time listening to a lot of the classics) but for some reason, I love Adam! I think it's because I always want to see what he's going to do next...

Adam is my favorite too!!!

He is sooooooooo good looking and his talent is remarkable.:D:D I agree, he is extremely humble. He's confident and looks completely at home on the stage. I hope he wins. He deserves it.
Allison is a close second.
 
What amazes me is his incredible ability to change his style to the song and genre he is singing. I can't believe how one week he belts out a rock song like Freddy Mercury or Steven Perry and then the next week he croones a beautiful ballad with a mesmerizing performance.

I am so hooked on him I checked out his other videos on utube. Has anybody heard him do the song Come Home? I listen to that one probably once a day!!!

And I agree with JeanneMarie - he did Mad World so much better than TFF. If it weren't for Adam, I don't think Idol would be that good this year.

We watch AI for Adam's performance. He's so versatile.
You just never know what to expect. It really is exciting to watch!

Funny you should say that Cynthia b/c I told DH last week that he should sing a GnR's song b/c he reminds me of Axel Rose.

I'm also a fan of his. I usually DVR the show and fast forward through most the performance but his. He's a talented kid. :)
 
Wow, Cynthia - I have been scouring the internet for any songs he's done but I haven't come across that one.

Again, I am floored by his talent.

For the first time in my life, I am becoming a groupie:p!

He is AMAZING!!!! What a talent and I love the he has the guts to get up there and change things up like that!!! He rocks...Enjoy your love affair with Adam!
 
I had never heard the song before and didn't know who you all were talking about with the acronym TFF so I You Tubed it and came up with a different version of the song (also came up with the Tears For Fears version). Adam's was very similar to the Gary Jules version. However, I really liked Adam's performance. He is definitely a keeper in the competition!

I think Adam is VERY talented. However, I don't think Axel Rose is the comparison- Axel had that weird, wonderful warble to his voice - oh - I remember having absolute FITS of pleasure listening to "November Rain." Oh my. :eek:

My comparison is Ted Neeley from the movie "Jesus Christ Superstar." I can SEE Adam playing that part - he truly has the voice!!! Wicked good!!!

DH wasn't comparing, he was thinking of rock song's the require that high range for Adam to sing. I like that Adam stays true to himself, including country week!:eek:

FYI--He is gay. I saw photos of him kissing dudes on the O'Reilly Factor. I agree that he's very good, sometimes. I'm not always loving the high pitched shrieking.

I thought that there were a lot of really good performances last week...then Adam came on and blew them all away!

I don't know if it's really fair, though, since he has quite a background in musical theater. They should almost have two contests: one for those who have never performed professionally, and one for those like Adam.
