Which is great, but you know what? I don't feel like I'm ready. Weird, huh? Last week working out didn't even enter my head. This week I'm craving it but I still don't feel up to it. She said I couldn't hurt anything, although healing would be slowed if I overdid it.

I think I'm gonna spend a few more days on the couch, & then try something low impact Monday. But while I'm missing cardio, I am dying for weights! Hopefully a week & a half & I'll be back to busting my butt at the gym. :)

So do you feel more well rested and how did you calm down your head?? Sounds weird but did you notice improvements from giving your body a rest?

The jury's still out. I'll let you know about 24 hours after my first lifting w/o. ;) I calmed myself w/pain meds LOL. I never knew painkillers were so versatile! :p

I do feel kinda bloated & loose, if ya know what I mean. That has definitely been the worst of it. I'm def. looking forward to getting back in the game.

Does anyone have suggestions for my first w/o? I'm thinking maybe LIC/LIS.

Laura, glad to hear you're ready to get back in the game.

I'll vote for LIC for your first foray. Something about that workout just makes me smile. :D

Laura,

Great to hear you are well ahead on the road to recovery.

Sending wishes that you will be as good as new ultra soon.

Take good care.

Sounds smart to give it some more time if you don't feel ready yet. Hope all continues to heal well and that you're back to 100% soon! :)

You are too funny!!!

I vote for LIS since it has that fun factor. It will probably take a couple of workouts but once you do them your endurance will be right back there. Def keep us posted. Good idea for doing both weights and cardio as the craving will be fed in both departments :)

Alrighty then, LIS it is! I think I'll throw on LIC too if I'm feeling up to it. I don't think my endurance has been affected, but what I'm really hoping is my strength is still the same.
