I FOUND HER!!! I FOUND HER!!!!

Oh! BIG SIGH!!!!! I'm so relieved for you! Now take that "little stinker" to the vet and make sure she's OK!

My tortie acted all crazy when she got back in too.

Here is something you might want to consider - a Scat Mat.

I was thinking you might want to invest in one to put in front of your door. If she steps on it, she will get a jolt, and hopefully, after a few unpleasant encounters, be cautious of the door.

Of course, you will have to be cautious too. I've inadvertently shocked myself sitting down on the couch without remembering I had put the mat there.

Best of luck!

Allison!!!

I'm SO GLAD Minnie's back!!!!:7 :7

I kept wanting to write you in your earlier post, but I just didn't know what to say. I had a feeling she'd come back--cats are some strange amazing creatures.

When DH and I moved into the last apartment we rented, one of our cats, Borrego, vanished about a week after we'd gotten settled. We put up signs, went to our old address and gave the new residents our info in case he went back there, searched the shelters, and, like you, called and cajoled and hoped like crazy he'd come back. About a week after he went AWOL, DH was in the backyard and called me to come out for a minute. There was our big fat cross-eyed Borrego, looking just fine, like it was no big deal. Well, I hadn't shed a tear while he was gone, but the minute I saw him, I burst out crying and didn't stop for about five minutes!!! Tears of joy, relief, what-could-have-been? I don't know, but, man did I let it go.

I am almost crying for joy for you and Minnie!!! Wow, it's such a relief when they come back!!!!

water pistol by the door...that's all I'm going to say!

(Do you open the windows for your cats so they can sit in them and look out and get some fresh air? Maybe you could get one of those window "cages" that allows them to sit a bit 'outside' without actually going out?)

that is weird I posted to this thread yesterday and its gone.. I must have not pressed post.
Oh well! Hurray for you and your cat :) So glad shes home ok.

Jess, I thought the same thing, then I realized that there are two threads with the same name. Allison must have double-posted by accident when she started the thread.

Allison, that is GREAT news! I am so happy for you. :7
I know how it feels as my kitty went missing for almost 3 months a while back and we got him back!

Awesome!

Maggie

What a relief!!! I'm so happy for you (and her too!) that she's back.
The "wilderness" can be such a scary place for a kitty.
