I found a copy on ebay and bid, bid, bid for it. We received confirmation this morning that we won it.

Yes, I paid $15 more than what is listed at Cathe's site, but I really don't care. I've waited for over 5 months for it, and it was the last DVD keeping me from having a well-rounded Cathe library. I've been hearing since before June, actually, that RS was expected "any day"...but here it is...almost the end of summer...and I still don't have it. I wasn't going to take any chances. I wanted it. I was willing to pay for it. And now I've finally got it.

Here's the kicker: Before I cancelled my order through Cathe.com and started bidding on ebay's RS last weekend, I emailed Customer Service at Cathe.com and asked them when they expected it. They could not give me an answer...and that was only a week ago. Now, if all of a sudden they get their shipment of RS in this week, after they couldn't give me an answer about when it would be available, I will truly be ticked off and will most likely stop buying my Cathe DVD's through Cathe.com, because IMO that would be exceptionally poor customer service.
 
I got an email from Cathe.com stating they now expect RS in this week. Hope this isn't more wishful thinking. I've been waiting 4-5 months too. I bought it as part of the 36-dvd pack.
 
Golly Catwoman, You were the sucker who bought it for $65.00. Goody for you. I hope it's a worthwhile investment.
 
you paid 65 for RS?????? Oh...my...goodness. I know we get impatient but I could never justify paying that much. Plus I think it is coming back in stock this coming week. I know I was frustrated waiting for KPC but it did eventually come. All businesses have their glitches, but overall I think the customer service is pretty good. Sorry you had to wait so long :(

Congrat's on your purchase catwoman. As the saying goes "A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush". Five months is a LOOOONG time to wait to wait for a backorder.

Those are three great workouts. Enjoy!

Enjoy every moment of it...I'm sure if I waited 2 months longer I would have done the same. I was hoping my Rhythmic Step DVD would be delivered today along with my backordered CTX DVD, but it wasn't. Hopefully, they will ship it soon (I've been waiting since the beginning of June). In the meantime, please enjoy yours with good health!

I just checked Track Your Order on Cathe.com and my DVD is in transit and expected delivery Aug. 10th. I can't wait! This should be my Rhythmic Step, FINALLY!!!!!!!! YippeeKiyay!!!!!!! Next should be the New DVD's sometime in August, can't wait! Colleen
 
Don't worry about it, Catwoman. You have RS and it's worth the $$$ you paid. It's a fun workout (okay, it's a nostalgic fav with me) and you have it! Congratulations on winning it!
 
Yes, I was the "sucker" who paid $65 for it on ebay...and thanks much to those who have tried to make me feel like an idiot for doing so. x( You know, it bothers me on this board that someone would purposely taunt and kick someone when they're already down. I'm already angry that I was told by Cathe.com's "customer service" that they had "no idea" when it would be back in stock...only to find out now that it would be less than a week. If they had been able to provide "customer service" to me, I would never have bid for RS on ebay in the first place.

I wanted RS, and with the information I had been given, the one on ebay seemed like a Godsend at the time. I did NOT want to wait another 5 months, so I was willing to pay $65 for it to complete my Cathe library. Ironically, someone else was willing to pay up to $64 for it (I wonder who that sucker is). My limit was $65...if someone had bid $66, I would have been out. At any rate, I'm sure those who have criticized me have NEVER paid too much for something or made an unnecessary impulse purchase worth, say, an extra $15. *note sarcasm*

To those who sympathize with my pain and had encouraging words to say: Thank you. I feel like a shmuck for paying $15 more for something I could have gotten this week for $49.99 had "customer service" been able to provide me...well...good customer service.

As an ex customer service representative, I am appalled by the way the backorder of RS was handled. I've had good CS experiences with items that haven't been on backorder, but when there is a problem (like the one with RS) is when CS really needs to become proactive and kick it up a couple of notches to do the job they are paid to do. I'm very disappointed.
 
awww catwoman, i'm sorry if I made you feel bad. I guess I was just surprised at the amount of money, but I can understand wanting something so bad like that. Sorry customer service is not up to par. Enjoy your workout :)

It's okay, Boybert...your comments weren't the ones that really inflamed me. It's the one where I was called a "sucker"...that kinda got to me. I expect that kind of inflaming banter on another board I post to occasionally, but not on this one. Everybody here is usually so supportive and congenial.
 
You know, it was worth it to you to pay the money. It is, after all, only $15.00. In the scope of things that really isn't that much. Don't let other people ruin your enjoyment. We all have things we will pay a premium for. If it makes you feel better, I see Cathe's videos going for more all the time on Ebay, even when they are in stock.

Don't let'em get you down. Get this: I traded my original RS vhs tape away a couple years ago...my first mistake!!! Then I finally reacquired another copy. Then I turned around and ordered the dvd!!! And did the same with Power Hour!!! And I'm sure not made of money...but I am looking for that money tree!!!
 
Thanks, guys! This whole RS experience from start to finish has just been ridiculous. I can't believe how long it was on backorder, for starters...with no one who was able to explain why or when it could be expected. Just ridiculous! I've emailed customer service today to express my disappointment in the information I was given last week, because I truly feel that the service (at least in my case) was deplorable, given all the facts (I'm not going to rehash all the details here, though). Customer Service's responses to me today haven't been very helpful...and the way they treated me made me feel worse...so I'm ready to put this disappointing experience behind me so that I can enjoy my new workouts when they arrive!

And, you're right, at least I've finally gotten RS. Who cares how I got it...maybe that person I bought it from on ebay could really use that extra $15 I spent to buy some much-needed food or clothes for herself or her family. I'll consider it my charitable donation for the month! :)

I hate when you have to go through all of these bad experiences just to get what you payed for to begin with. I feel ya on that been through with my step bench. I am sorry and glad you got it. After I heard what every one had to go trhough I would not dare order it and it was not available. Maybe the company was just waiting for a certain amount of request before they made copies. Who knows????
