how long do you stretch?

After a workout, how much time do you devote to a stretch. I've been trying to up the stretching, as I've gotten older. On the weekends now, I try to stretch for at least 10 minutes after a workout... today I did 20, and I feel so much better than if I just rush through it. It's funny, cuz when I was younger, I maybe stretched for like a minute, if that. Now, it's become such an enjoyable part of the workout for me. Sometimes my DH gives me funny looks when I get into one of the yoga poses and just chill like that for a while! (That's because he doesn't stretch at all!!)
 
I devote most of my stretching time to a specific workout; pilates or yoga. I must say the older I get the more I need to stretch. My pilates instructor summed it up nicely; pilates is stretching with movement and yoga is stretching static. They complement each other so well.

I too do this. All my workouts don't devote enough stretch time.
 
Not long enough. Have stretch max but think I have used it maybe 4 times. I may be sorry when I'm older
 
I think stretching after exercise is essential. I always do the stretch with Cathe. When I'm really sore I'll do Stretch Max. I wish I could find a Yoga DVD I like. I don't like power yoga and want some that really stretch. Anyone have any suggestions?

Yes I don't get the troll part either??? Shelley could you fill us in :)

I just do the stretch at the end of my dvd.....I know I need to start adding more stretching to my routine.....but.....
