How do you use B&G?

Where do you put B&G in a rotation? I guess my question really is, what do you do to balance it during the week. Any upper body workout? It seems like most of the rest of Cathe's series have an equal amount of upper and lower body, but B&G seems to be on it's own. In that series, LIC and BM2 (both of which I love) have total body weights. Is B&G meant as just an additional lower body/ab workout?

I think I may buy a few more DVDs before STS comes out, and people seem to love B&G - I just wonder how people are using it.

You can use the upper body premixes from LIC and BM2 or all of Pyramid Upper Body, either of the upper body Gym Styles, the upper body premix from Muscle Max, S&H Chest & Back or S&H Tris & Bis. You could also use the upper body premix from 4DS.

There are many ways to use B&G. You can combine it with an upper body or do it on its own. I use it for different rotations. If I'm doing an endurance type rotation, I'll do one day of each: total body endurance, cardio, upper body, cardio, lower body (B&G), cardio, yoga. If I'm doing P90X, I'll sub B&G for Legs and Back.

For me, the supersets upper body blast premix is a good balance to B&G (and L&G, too) in a two-day split. Last week, I wanted to do extra upper and lower body (not just a two-day split) so I did B&G as is on Sunday, the SS upper body premix on Tuesday, MM upper body only premix on Thursday, and on Friday I added the bonus B&G leg exercises and MM leg only exercises onto a cardio workout (LIC cardio only premix). Monday and Wednesday were cardio only workouts.

love butts and gutts

I am going into my 4th week rotation of b & G. I am seeing amazing results, my thighs have slimmed down a bit. Although in the beginning (week 2) I lost 5 lbs, the weight total lost is 7 lbs, but people can see a difference. Here is a sample of my rotation:

week 1
Day one -butts and gutts (the whole dvd) and upper body premix from the 4day split.
Daye two- cardio of choice
Day three- rest
Day four - butts and gutts- premix overall leg and upper body premix from 4day split
Day five- cardio of choice
Day six- rest
Day seven- cardio of choice

Week 2
Day one- butts and gutts (the whole dvd) and upper body premix from 4day split
Day two-cardio of choice
Day three- rest or stretch
Day four- butt and gutts premix leg blast and upper body from 4day split
Day five- cardio of choice
Day six- butts and gutts floorwork premix and uppber body from 4day split
Day seven- rest

Then I repeat week 1 and 2 respectively. I also walk 1 -2 miles a day during lunch at work. Hope this works...

I do B&G once a week all by itself, usually one day of the weekend. It generally kicks my butt, so I go back to my normal rotation of one day cardio, one day strength and weights for four to five days, take a break and then time for B&G again. Hats off to those of you who can do this one more than once a week. WooWee! I'm just not there yet.

Right now, I'm using the floorwork of B&G after cardio...about 2 days a week.

I have yet to do the whole workout as is, so I don't know how I'll work that in later. This thread will be helpful when I get to that point!
