How do you plan to use STS Cardio?

Hi All,
How are you all planning on using STS Cardio? Do you plan on doing it on it's own or using STS Strength with it? Or incorporating it with some other workouts? Just looking for some ideas. I'm also a runner so would love to hear from someone who plans on incorporating running. Thanks everyone!

Tracey

Hi Tracey!

For the 1st 5-6 weeks, I'm going to mix Shock Cardio with the weight segments of 4DS and I'm going to do a rotation with ALL 11 of the new workouts. (I'm a glutten for punishment ;)) I usually do 2 workouts a day, except Sat/Sun, so it is nothing new for me to do this type of rotation. Plus this will get me familiar with each workout so I can make up even better rotations in the future! :D

Here is what I have all written down and ready to go:

Sunday: MMA Kickbox & Stretch

Monday: morning-Cardio Core Circuit
evening-4DS chest/back followed by HiiT 30/30

Tuesday: morning-MMA Fusion
evening-Athletic Step

Wednesday: morning-Circuit Blast
evening-4DS Shoulders followed by HiiT DW

Thursday: morning-MMA Boxing
evening-Step Moves

Friday: morning-Travel Fit
evening-4DS Bi's/Tri's followed by HiiT 40/20

Saturday: 4DS Legs & Core followed by the "bonus bag" workout

As you can see I gave a day between each HiiT workout and the step workouts & MMA are also separated by a day in between. I can't wait to "Shock" my body this January! I think this will be a great series to do just that (and burn off any extra pounds we might have put on over the holidays or just to "jump start" our new years weight loss plans!).

Wow, Denise! That is a tough rotation! :D

I plan on waiting to see what kind of rotation Cathe comes up with. I would like to use it with STS but I'm open. Looking forward to something completly new.

just using it with other workouts. i might do an actual rotation using it but not in an all out STS rotation.

I'm also going to wait and see what type of rotation Cathe comes up with. I'm in Meso 2 of STS so I'm planning on mixing the 2. Right now I'm doing cardio 5-6 days a week, even on STS days, and rotate step w kickboxing so I don't do the same kind of cardio back-to-back. I'm so excited to get these new DVDs!!!!!!

I'm going to do an undulating STS (strength) rotation alternating with STS cardio.
I'm hoping Cathe will give us some pointers as well. :)

Wow! You guys are super human :) So will most of you do an STS Cardio and an STS Strength workout in the same day? I don't understand the undulation rotation. When I read Regina's post I'm not sure how cardio will be incorporated into it?

I am thinking I will do an all out STS rotation alternating strength and cardio (but not on the same day!). It will be a complete 180 from what I am doing now - walking for cardio and barre type workouts for strength!

I plan to incorporate the MMA workouts into a rotation with weight workouts (maybe STS Meso 2, since I haven't done much with STS yet), maybe try out the athletic step, but definitely preview them all to figure out how I can make them work for me or what their fate will be (kept and used as-is? kept with modifications? traded or sold?).

I'm completely psyched! I haven't done STS Strength yet. I have it, but it's supposed to be for Christmas, so I'm waiting. Now I can do the full STS Strength and Cardio rotation. I hope I live through it:p, but I'm excited.

I like the idea of STS Cardio with 4DS weights (my favorite part of the 4DS series). I might attempt something similar to what Denise is proposing, probably with only one HIIT workout per week, and no doubling up of cardio workout. I don't need any weight loss.

Want to see the rec cathe rotation, but...

I plan on combining STS w/ it and throwing in some Brazilian Butt lift workouts (that I just caved and bought!) So, I should have Shock Cardio & BLL next week - Happy Hanukkah, Merry Xmas & Happy New Year to me!!! (OH - and Happy Valentine's Day also since I recently got Insanity, too -- whoops!)

BTW: Has anyone gotten a shipping notification yet?

Denise, this looks great. Can I do this rotation with you? ;) When are you planning to start?

Hi Timea!

Oh please, yes! That would be fun! You can email if you want ([email protected]) to check in or we can do it here. I'm starting Sunday, 12-27-09 and it will run 5 weeks! Gonna get a jump start on the new year.....

If you email me to my email above, I'll forward you a nice excel rotation that I have with all the workouts on it! ;)

Good luck to the both of us! (and anyone else who wants to join us)

I'm calling the rotation: SHOCK IT TO ME!

Denise

I plan to mix Shock Cardio, a P90X halvsies rotation and Insanity. I'll never be bored. :D

Oh yeah - and on the weekends I'll continue to hike and run.
