How did you discover Cathe?

I think it was around 2002. I found VF and was looking for a strength workout. Cathe's Pure Strength was in the Hall of Fame. Bought it, loved it, here I am.

Fit TV, and man was I grateful. I have been a weightlifter for several years and was ever so happy to find actual choreographed workouts. Had been using some other tapes(Gin Miller, Karen Voight, etc)but wanted more than the "girlie weights" they used. I LOVE Cathe's style and vast selection of workouts. I ordered 7 right away and will continue, basically that's all I work out to, and have gathered fabulous ideas for my own classes I teach. Rock on...

I was already an aerobic-aholic when I discovered Cathe. I cannot recall the exact year (early 90's), but like Cathe, I was wearing Dance France thong leotards and lace bike tights. Now that's scary.

I learned about her through Video Fitness. I think I was online trying to find something out about The Firm tapes that I was using and saw a review of MIC/MIS - so I decided to give her a try. Haven't done The Firm since. That was 7 years ago.

Collage Video in fall 2000; I cut out two of my aqua classes from my instruction schedule and wanted to replace them with step workouts at home. I wanted something with basic choreography and high intensity and wound up with - Interval Max. (are you insane, woman?) Then on to Body Max, then onto Circuit Max, then onto . . . well . . . you get the idea.

Wow, it looks like poor Collage video may have lost a lot of customers due to us discoverying Cathe and them not carrying her anylonger! This is so interesting to read how different people discovered Cathe, don't you think?
Trevor where are you in this discussion? Or how about Jillybean? Hotspur? There are more of you out there, come out come out where ever you are! Ha, ha!

2 years ago my firm buddy handed me Step Heat and Intense Moves and said she didn't like them that much. So I wasn't too enthused to try either of them. Then I tried both and thought it was more advanced from The Firms I'd been doing. Yeah I thought SH was a little out dated but I liked the style. I picked up the choreography quickly and then a year later on the Fitprime website a lot of the girls were talking about Cathe. I searched for her online this past spring and found her site. I got BC/ME b/c I could use my tall step for it. It wasn't at all what I expected. It was really challenging. I loved it. I did the BC/ME 3 days a week. Then I found Terminator and got a long step. Terminator has been the most challenging workouts I've ever done. I then went looking for other Cathes. I've been using her workouts ever since. I had my firm buddy try BC/ME and she was really hesitant to even look at it. She now is using Cathe. She got HSC to help get use to Cathe and she bought BC/ME for future use. So she is on her way to conforming to Cathe too.

I recently introduced a friend to exercise and she is progressing nicely. I will bring her the Cardio Hits DVD in about another month or two. Then on to BB.

HARDCORE is COMING!!!! I think what I've bought so far is Hardcore. I can't wait to "fry and cry".

Probably back in '95 or '96, I took a chance after reading the Collage Video reviews and got Step Heat. I absolutely LOVED it and the fact that, finally, here was an advanced step workout that rocked! I've never looked back!

A few years ago(hec...maybe it was only 2 years ago) I was reading about different instructors on Collage then found her website then purchased a few videos then quickly made the switch to DVD's as the I Series came out and now I can't get enough of Cathe!

Believe it or not I discovered Cathe just a few months ago, sometime around late June when I got FitTV. I still cannot believe how I never heard of her prior to getting FitTV because now I can't even imagine life without Cathe!!! Geez, I must have been living in a cave or something! I knew I stumbled into something amazing because this was the only workout on tv that kicked my butt so thoroughly, so I went on the website and well the rest is history:) :7 }( !!

Well, my husband had discovered a channel we had never noticed before on our satellite called "FitTV". We were both wanting to get in better shape and just starting out new fitness routines (I had been doing TaeBo for several years and was getting seriously burned out). One morning my husband had FitTV on while Cardio Blast was on and he said "maybe you would like this". So, the next morning I tried it out. I remember that it was "IMAX 2" (nice one to start out with, huh). I had never really done step aerobics that much and looked like a complete idiot trying to do the choreography, especially without even owning a step. BUT, I loved the workout. Not only did I feel like I got a great workout, but I had a fun time doing it. I immediately looked Cathe up on the internet and found her website. Now my husband just shakes his head everytime I walk in the room and say "By the way I just ordered another Cathe DVD." I've only been doing her workouts for about 2 months now and have never seen the results before that I see now, and for the first time in my life I actually LOOK FORWARD to working out in the morning.

Fun thread, seeing how everybody found their way to Cathe! :)

I was a die-hard Firmie (started way back when, when we had to order the videos at $50). I started reading about Cathe on the Ya Ya forum around 2002...resisted going to her website, etc. for a while (since I didn't do anything not related to the Firm, lol), and then finally did come to the website, started reading, and ordered Cardio Kicks and Power Hour. Preordered the PUB/PLB DVD, soon discovered I needed the rest of the Intensities, and the rest is, so they say, history for me! lol...I now have all of her workouts except for Cardio Hits and the Classics, and of course have Hardcore preordered. Nothing has given me results like Cathe! Her workouts are truly the best! :)

I found Cathe in the Collage paper catalogue. I was intrigued with her workouts because Collage mentioned her use of heavy weights, which is what I wanted to try. (Can't remember why.)

I got MIS, IMAX, & Step Max. The first time I tried IMAX, I was absolutely sure she was trying to kill me! ;) MIS got me my first REAL weight training results. I also loved her step style in SM. Then I ordered the PS series, & a couple of step tapes. Then, Collage stopped carrying her! I was beside myself. I had no computer & didn't even know how to go online. So I made my mother buy me a computer for Christmas (to DH's relief...he was my backup plan!) & learned how to use it just so I could find this site.

I have NEVER looked back. And by the way, I credit IMAX for my success in overcoming my nicotine addiction. You just can't smoke a cigarette...or even want to...if you're doing IMAX. I did it A LOT! Kind of burned out on it (HA!) but am starting to enjoy it again.

Fun thread.

Well, I was told about Cathe from a co-worker. She lent me a few videos and I liked the intensity and straightforward moves. The IMAXES and Bodymax are some of my faves. Guess I am old-school. That was in about 2000 or 2001 I think.
GOOOOOOO 24!!
