Holy Cow! Is that Cede in the Road Trip pics?

I think I was most surprised at how beautiful and TINY Cedie was. All the crew are very little and just beautiful.

I was taking a picture with Cathe, and she said, "it is so nice to stand next to someone my own height! I'm used to people towering over me!" I am 5' and many of the girls are taller than me, but not by much!! Cedie told me that she is 4'11"!!

I can't speak for the running & Cedie but I do know that it has been said (reliable source!) that the camera does not work well for her. She looks amazing & a very nice person. I would love for her to be my kids gym teacher!!!

Spinning is good for bulky legs, too

I too am happy to hear this. I always wondered why Cedie looked so bulky compared to the other ladies. This relates to the workout for your body type program we were discussing earlier. Clearly she needed to cool it with the weights and go for running. Great to see she has had such wonderful results. I too started running last week and hope to get rid of the bulk and lean out my muscles.

If your joints can't take the pounding of running, spinning is another form of cardio that is miraculous for bulky legs.

Spinning? That is bike right?! I have been using my bike with a resistance trainer doing Cardio Coach and I can tell my legs are looking much better. I think I have only done 1 or 2 lower body weight workouts in the past (almost) 2 months. Even my DH commented that my legs look leaner :)

I have to agree that running has really leaned me out like nothing before. Which kind of scares me because I don't particularly love it as much as I love my Cathe cardio. I'm afraid to stop running now, though.

My two cents here, Cedie did not appear as if she stopped lifting weights at all, she still looked muscular, she just appeared leaner to me.
But what do I know, I wasn't there.

And what about us poor slobs who can't run <---can't run)? Is there any hope for us at all:(.

I actually tried running. I tried the Couch to 5K thing where you slowly build up to being able to run 5K (or 3 miles). All I got for my effor was plantar fasciitis!

If I am very careful about stretching very thoroughly I minimize any PF from running. I now actually get PF more from high impact stepping, so after Cathe stretches after the warmup, I pause the dvd and do some extra stretches.

Allie,

I saw your pics of the RT. You look amazingly fit. You also look like an angel - your sweetness shines through in your face.

Tracey looks radiant.

Cathe looks more gorgeous than ever. She looks more beautiful now than when she was younger in my opinion.

My favorite pic was the one of the three behinds! :)

Cant' run? Try spinning

I was doing my running on the treadmill. I wonder if it would make a difference if I tried it outside. I liked the feel of myself after I had been running for a couple weeks. I felt less "jiggly." Now I am like a bowl of jello:D. I might also need to lose a few (a lot) of lbs. before I attempt running again:rolleyes:.

OMG, Vee thank you, thank you! You are such a sweetheart! I'm blushing like crazy over here!

I swear that picture of Cathe's, mine, and Tracey's "heinie's" (as Cathe would say :)) was TOTALLY Cathe's idea! I never would've done that! I was so embarrassed! (I have to say it came out so cute, though!! ;))

Hey Carrie,
I wasn't able to run for years because of my knees, but I worked on strengthening them and I'm back to running now. I only run on the treadmill, though. I heard it's better for your knees, plus I'm addicted to iTreads. :) Don't worry if you can't run. Spinning, swimming, the elliptical, etc. is all just as good. I think the main thing that helped lean me out was that I changed up my routine and it kind of shocked my body. I was only doing Cathe's step and hi/lo (and the occasional kickbox) for a long time as my cardio and just changing it up really helped me lean out.

Just my opinion. :)

I love Cedie and must agree that she looks absolutely radiant!! All of the crew and roadtrippers looked so fantastic!!

Allison-This is kind've personal for me to say but looking at photos of you remind me so much of my little sister Heather. She was killed by a drunk driver on August 17, 2000. I miss her so very much but your smile just reminds me of her. She was just so genuine and so much fun! I hope you don't feel weird or anything by me saying that, if so I'm so sorry!

Chastity

Hi Chastity,
Oh my goodness, I'm so touched by your comparison. Thank you for the compliments! I remember you posting about your sister before. I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. I'm honored to have you think I resemble her.

I found running outside worse for my aches and pains. Whenever this treadmill I have dies I think I'd like to invest in one that has a better deck. I'm no expert, but aren't some treadmills more of a cushioned deck?

Allison..I'm so glad you're not weirded out by my comment. It's a good thing really...looking at your photos makes me smile!

Thank you for your opinion, it is much appreciated. I like the idea of "changing up" my routine. I have been basically doing only step, hi/lo, and some kickbox for such a long time (with an occasional treadmill walk day thrown in there). Maybe I will try to focus more on sessions on the treadmill. I have a lot of iTrains and love them when I do them. I also have most of the Cardio Coaches. I have to remember to wear my HRM with those though.

BTW - I love working out to you too when I do Tracey step dvds. I can NEVER jump as high as you though:D.

I thought that was the case as well (treadmill being better for joints). I do think there are some treadmills that have really nice decks. They put two into my "Y" that you can tell "give" a bit when you walk or run on them. They are very nice...and the first to be taken!
