I have found myself starting the hardest rotation this week ever, REST WEEK. I'm talking complete rest. "listening to my body" has not always been my strong point although I have been better about it than I used to be.
I have found myself with a lower back injury Perhaps if I had "listened" to begin with (last week) I would be better off. I did go to my chiropractor & although he did say it was a bit out of line it seems to be more muscular than skeletal which is what I suspected.
So my question to those have found themselves in the situation of complete rest for a period of time, how did you get through it? In the past if a lower body injury sidelined me I could at least work the upper & core & vice versa, upper body gets me off track I still had the lower body. But with the back....well it wipes you out.
I am taking all the right measures, ibuprofen, heat, some ice etc. I am using this time to tighten up my eating which is clean but always room for improvement. I am making sure to eat foods that are naturally anti-inflammatory with every meal. I'm hoping to at least be able to walk to keep moving, although my dog whom I run with is going to be confused .
Thanks for any thoughtful suggestions.
