Hardcore Fitness Maniacs November 2024

Hi,

I had physical therapy this morning. I went for a walk outside today. I didn’t feel like doing anything else.

Jolie - I am so sorry you are going through all this with your parents. My heart is going out to you. You are a good daughter.

Diane - glad you feeling better. I will search for McKenzie book. I noticed they use a lot of stretches we already know from pilates/yoga.

Good night.

This morning I did STS 2 Body Parts Shoulders and had a great workout. I went higher with the hip huggers and the band work. This is an intense workout. I like it a lot.

1 minute rest between each set

Barbell Overhead Press: 30# - 2 sets/8 reps; 25# - 1 set/8 reps
Standing Iso Hold w/Overhead Press: 5#/10# - 2 sets/8 reps (this was weird, the iso hold was hard for me)
Incline Front Raise: 8's/5's - 2 sets/8 reps
Seated Lateral Raise: 8's - 2 sets/8 reps
Alternate Seated Lateral Raise: 5's - 1 set/12 reps
Standing Front/Side Slide Combo: 5's - 1 set/10 reps
Hip Huggers: 20's 2 sets/8 reps
Rear Delt/Hip Hugger SS: 5's & 20's - 2 sets/8 reps
Band Single Arm Rear Delt Fly: 15# band - 2 sets/10 reps
Face Pulls: 15# band - 1 set/11 reps

I also did STS Mini Ball Abs, love that one. Not fond of the end with the bear crawl but it is doable.

Workout was 57 minutes, burned 255 calories, HR was 105/134.

Wow, Trump won in a landslide!! So happy today! He worked tirelessly and it paid off. Now lets hope he can get stuff done this time.

Jolie - I am so sorry about what you are going through with your mom and dad. It is so hard to take care of our elderly parents, and so sad to see they need so much help. Take a few for yourself and just pray for God's help. He will hold you up. Hugs

Diane - Nice going with your yoga workout. Yes, the lines were long but what a great turnout this year! I'm so happy he was elected. He won all the swing states I think. Incredible.

Belinda - Glad you were able to have a walk outside. It has been so beautiful here. It was 80 degrees yesterday which is totally unheard of in November!!!

Roselyn - Great job with your workout!

Have a great day everyone!

God Bless America today!!! I am so tired from staying up late but I did get a 2 mile walk in with the pup and I feel better, and I have more energy now. Thanks for all the kind messages about my parents, this is going to be a long haul going forward. My mom is doing really well today and has a doctor's appointment with a new doctor and hopefully she is good to go going forward.

Great job on the workouts yesterday and today to all of you, I hope to be back in the gym room tomorrow!!!! I feel so happy today, I was so worried for my children's America if she would have won!

Hi,

Total Body Push, Pull Legs and walk outside.

Debbie - great job on STS 2 Body Part Shoulders today. The weather is beautiful here too. Need to take advantage of it.

Jolie - glad your mom is doing well today. Great job on your walk today.

Good night.

Today I did CDorner Tabata workout doing the suggested modifications till the last tabata which was all plank moves. I just skipped forward to the cool down, this was 28 minutes, 135 calories. Some fun rock music on this one. I followed with CDorner mobility challenge day 18 chest and shoulders, 13 minutes, 20 calories. I also did the Back Pod and therapy moves suggested. I stayed up late hoping to see Trump's speaking but gave up waiting and went to bed around 1. Hoping to do something for legs tomorrow. I saw Kelly has a seated upper body workout that she put up. It is a long one. Also another jump workout. I viewed a bit of it while lying on the back pod and am thinking that no way am I doing jump ropes and jumping onto a step. My knees would be screaming. I may try the barre workout. She wears ankle weights. The only thing is she fits in some ab/core work too. Not sure if my ribs would like it.

Debbie, great job on STS 2 Shoulders today. The bear crawl part of the mini ball abs always makes me lose balance. I suppose it is good. Sometimes I do better than others. Yes, there was a great turn out of voters.

Jolie, good job on the walk with the pup today even after staying up late. I am glad your mother is better today and has a new doctor.

Belinda, nice work on Total Body Push/Pull legs and walk outside today.

Roselyn, STS 2 Triceps and 10 minute hiit today.

This morning I did RAW Upper Sculpt/Lower Tone and I had an excellent workout. This is one of my most favorite workouts from Kelly. I used my 3# dumbbells for the upper sculpt, which was boxing moves and I used 5# ankle weights for the lower body part. I also used Egg weights for the faster moves. I was thinking of getting 8 or 10# ankle weights because Kelly says that's what she uses, but damn, it was hard enough with just 5# on each ankle.

This was 50 seconds on/10 off although toward the end Kelly shortened it. This is how it went:

3# dumbbells - did right side, then left:
Jabs
Hooks
Upper Cuts
Speed Bag - These were hard with the 3# db

Standing legs using 5# ankle weights - did right side, then left:
Shin Blocks
Knee Pull
Back Kicks or Lifts

Above Jabs, hooks, upper cuts, speed bag but faster - first right then left side but I used my 1.5# egg weights since it was faster

Above Shin Blocks, Knee Pull, Back Kicks but faster - first right, then left side

Jab/Cross (each side separately) - 3# DB
Hook/Up (each side separately) - 3# DB

Leg work on the Floor:
Glute Kicks
Alternate Fire Hydrants
Repeat

Above Jab/Cross and Hook/Ups but faster (used my 1.5# egg weights)

Leg work on the floor:
Up & Out
Leg back, heel up/Toe to floor raises

Jab, Hook, Upper, Squats - 3# DB
Repeat other side

Leg work on floor:
Cross Over, each side separately
Alt. Knee In
Hamstring Curls, each side separately

Alt. Jabs, Hooks, Ups, Squat - 3# DB
Same without weights (cool down)

Great workout, love it! Workout was 49 minutes, burned 309 calories, did 2357 steps and HR was 122/149.

Jolie - I'm glad your mom is doing better. Glad she got a new doctor, too. It's hard taking care of our parents but I wouldn't want anyone else doing it. My mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon that I'm taking her to. Just a routine checkup.

Belinda & Roselyn - Great workout yesterday!!

Diane - That tabata workout sounds like fun. I haven't done a workout from Chris in a long time. I didn't notice the new workouts this morning, I'll check them out. I won't do the jump one either.

Have a great day everyone!!

Today I finally got in a workout!!! I did CL Vertical Loading 2 with the ball but I used a bench instead so I could lift heavier weights. Workout was 52 minutes, and I burned 398 calories. I have lost some muscle, but I am sure that I will get it back once I get in some weight workouts for the next few months. Thanks for all the kind words regarding my mom, she is doing great today, even drove herself to get her blood work done this morning.

Debbie, great job on the workout today! That workout looks great, I wrote it down and will do it soon. Your calorie burn looks low for that kind of workout, funny how our fitness trackers are reading high some days and then lower other days.

Diane Sue, I love Tabata workouts, that one looks great! Way to go!

Roselyn and Belinda, nice job on the workouts.

I have a lot of catching up to do on my own life now that my parents are doing better, it will be a busy day today. Have a great day.

Today I did Raw Barre#1, 36 minutes, 103 calories followed by STS 2.0 chair yoga, 21 minutes, 27 calories. I wore 2 1/2 # ankle weights since that is what Kelly wore. I also did the back pod work and foam rolled a bit at the end. I watched a little of the new Raw seated upper workout. It looks like it is two moves for a body part done 3 times. First were shoulders doing overhead press coming up from front with a turn and down not sure what you would call it and front raise. She does give a suggestion for those that cannot do it to do lateral raise. The second part was triceps doing overhead triceps extension and triceps dips. That is all that I watched, while doing the body pod stuff.

Debbie, nice work today on Raw Upper Sculpt Lower Tone. That tabata workout was good and pretty fast paced. I even managed the inch worms in it.

Jolie, glad you got in a workout today. Nice job on CL Vertical Loading 2. I am glad your mom is doing so well today. Trackers are off some times, and I have no idea why. Yesterday mine seemed really low. I think it was because the battery was pretty low.

Roselyn, nice work on STS 2 back and standing abs routine.

Belinda, good job on SB tabata. I bet you will be happy to get the eye surgery done.

Roxie, I hope that you get some rest. Those things that keep us up at odd hours sure do deplete energy. Sorry you had sharp pain when you went for a walk. I hope that you are okay.

This morning I did RAW July Rotation: Lower/Back/Chest. For some reason it seems I've done this workout but I didn't keep notes on it, which is odd. I remember some of the exercises but not sure I actually did the workout before? Anyways, This is how it went:

10 reps each exercise. Repeat circuit 3 times

Heel Squats: 25#
Glute Squats: 30# (love these)
Deadlifts: 20's
Split Squat: 20# (this one burns)
Lateral Pulldown: 30# bands
Band Rows: 40# bands
Incline Chest Press: 25's
Repeat 2 more times

Great workout and I've noticed how well defined Kelly's legs are. I'm thinking it is this rotation she said she was doing for a couple of months that has added muscle to her legs.

I then got on my treadmill and walked for 1 mile.

Total workout time was 52 minutes, burned 375 calories, HR was 126/163.

Jolie - I'm glad your mom is doing better, what a relief! And excellent job on your workout!! You have to try that workout I did yesterday, you would love it.

Roselyn & Belinda - Great job with your workouts!

Roxie - Colonoscopy's are no fun, that's for sure. Hope all turns out good. Great job on your walk.

Diane - Great job with your workout yesterday. The Barre workouts are of no interest to me at all. They rank up there with yoga for me, but I do enjoy yoga a bit more. There is a new boxing one I see. I will try that one next week.

It's Friday! So glad the week is over, the election is over and we can sigh a breath of relief!! I'm a happy camper right now! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi,

Today I did JS TB SuperSets. Really liked it. I also had physical therapy this morning.

Our RV is ready for us to pick it up. We had a video call today, looks very good as far as I can tell. It actually looks brand new. They painted every door/sanded you named it. The bunkbeds have a door, really like what they did. They are going to put doors like I wanted in all their RV‘s if someone wants one. Now it looks like a closet rather than 2 bunk beds. Who knows maybe later on…I decide I want to turn bunk beds into a pantry/closet? It looks very clean. Exactly how I pictured it. I will share a picture once we pick up the RV. They also had someone clean the RV on the inside, lol. I will clean it again once I pick it up.

Diane - great job on Barre 1 and yoga. Yes, I am glad when the eye surgery is done.

Debbie, Roselyn and Jolie - great job.

This morning, I did CDorner Step # 363 "Taylor Swift" 34 minutes, 164 calories, heart rate 129/166, 2,999 steps. I also did Perfect 30 Perfect Flow Mobility Basics, 35 minutes, 59 calories. Total time 69 minutes, 223 calories. I considered some light arm work today, but my ribs around the chest area were hurting last night. Not sure if the barre caused it or the tabata the day before since I did the inch worm move. I also did the back pod after I was done today. I noticed that since I have been using the back pod the puffy tight area on my upper left back is going away. I can feel and seem my muscles in my back. Hopefully it does not all come back when I get back to all of my workouts.

Debbie, great job on the Raw July rotation Lower/back/chest. I think that you did all 3 workouts. I may be wrong though. On one of them you mentioned you wished she did a little more on the upper. Yes, she said she needed to work on her legs. She really did put a lot of leg work in and then also the jump workouts probably make a difference. I looked at the kickbox one on one but am not ready for that at all.

Belinda, nice work on JS Total Body Supersets and getting in physical therapy today. I bet you are happy to get your RV back. I hope everything is perfect now.

Roxie, nice work on the treadmill walk.

Yesterday I took the pup for a 3 mile walk through the hills. Today's workout was CL Vertical Loading #1 and I did really well with the weights. I love these workouts because you get an entire body workout with traditional style lifting and you go from one body part to another so there is no rest time, and the workout goes by quickly. No workout tomorrow, I am going to my parent's house to help them out and to do my moms hair for her. Also, I want to take them out to lunch because they need a break!

Great job with the workouts everyone. I hope you all have a great weekend.

Yesterday I did Raw Tone It Up + some biceps curls that I did with 10# dbs, 34 minutes total,71 calories. I followed with CDorner Mobility Full Body 20 minutes, 33 calories. Total time 54 minutes, 104 calories. I also did the back pod therapy moves. Today is a rest day. I had a bad night sleeping and coughing. I woke up in pain this morning:(
Tone it up was a lot of moves with core added. Kelly used 10, 8 and 5# dbs. I went lighter on some moves. I don't think I am going to bother typing up the moves as I really was not wild about the workout.
It might be because of how I feel, or that I had to skip the pushups and lighten up trying to be careful. This may be a bit of why I am hurting because of all of the core work, but I was fine later yesterday. It has windmill with dumbbell ( I hate these and do not know how she reached all of the way to the floor), forearm hip raise, bird dog crunch with dumbbell, front raise knuckles back sword was not good on the sword part, single arm pullover bridge, turkish sit ups, anyway not real friendly for the rib cage even though I used very light weights. Down to 3# for some of those moves.

Jolie, good job on the walk and CL Vertical Loading. Enjoy your time with your parents.
