Debbie, nice work. Try IQ bars for protein. They are vegan and no sugar. They have mct and lions mane mushroom in them. I like the blueberry lemon ones. I am usually under on suggested carb amount on the app I am using. But, I am not using a particular type of diet. It wants me to eat over 2000 calories and that is difficult as I do not eat sugar unless rare occasion

Be back later

Hi,

I did zoom live dance and Functional Lower Body + LMR Lower Body Balance Disc Bonus. The Bonus disc was tough. My glutes are on fire. I loved it.

Diane - that‘s a good doctor if he knows everything part that hurts you. My Rheum is amazing too. A lot of those normal symptoms can be related to RP. He is always on the safer side and running tests. I am so sick of adding more pain meds to everything I already take. I am pushing back a little. Not sure if that is a smart thing? I have a lot of osteoporosis, not sure if there is anything natural I can do for it rather than taking pain meds.

Debbie - I do believe, I ate something that elevated my blood test. Like you, I make sure I eat heavy before my blood test. I don‘t eat a lot of pasta. I do have a sweet tooth, lol.

Jolie - thanks for all the info. Do you have any recommendation on what brand to buy? I have no idea which once’s are good and not. Did you sign up for CL? Great job keeping up with your workout.

Have a great day and workout.

We had some things to go do and stopped to get dinner.

Debbie, good job on STS 2 Biceps. I have upped my carbs some since I just cannot get enough calories in eating vegetables and protein sources. Every night I end up needing a bunch of calories to get the 2009 calories My Net Diary has set for me to get up to 112 lbs. I miss the goal and it raises the calories for the next week. I looked at different meal plans on there, but dishes with lots of beans and quinoa is something I won't do. Beans do not settle well most of the time and I just do not like quinoa. If I found a decent recipe I might change my mind. I use almond flour and cassava tortillas. My last 7 days has been 172 g carbs. App says it is 85% of my target for carbs. I am choosy about protein bars. I have let up lately on protein bars mostly because healthy ones without a bunch of garbage and bad sweeteners are quite expensive.
Gloved Up and Sweaty is from Cathe's 2023 dvds. I like it a lot. It is mostly low impact. Cathe even does a low impact burpee. I always go fasted when I know I am getting blood work just so I know they get it right. Also, there are even some supplements that may alter certain blood tests. Like biotin alters certain blood tests. I skip it for a few days before, just in case. It is supposed to rain and maybe some snow Saturday. Probably not much though.

Jolie, great job on the Glassboro upper body workout, CL #261 Upper Balltastic, and walks over the last week. We all have those busy times. It seems I have had a lot going on. I am still waiting to hear something on the Chest CT. I hope they do not make me wait till I go back in to my next appointment. I got a message saying something new on the app and when I looked all it said was that I had the test done.

Belinda, nice job on the Zoom live dance and LMR functional lower body+ Lower Body Balance disc bonus. It is amazing how much the legs feel it when balancing on the discs. I would feel the same when they are trying different meds to see what works. I try to research first. I want to know what does not work well together and what I am in for. My doctor says my bone density is lower and to take 1200 mg calcium at least and do more weight bearing exercise . I have been monitoring the calcium I eat and add bone density supplement to make up what I need. I took Life Extension Bone restore for a year and a half and the osteoarthritis and bone density were worse. I am trying Algecal which has the ingredients for absorption of a plant based calcium. Mayo clinic and Cleveland clinic mentions it in studies. I am trying to eat more calcium rich foods, cottage cheese, 0 fat plain yogurt etc. so I only take as much calcium as needed to bring it up to the 1200. Hoping things look better next time. My rheumatologist is not pushy on the meds. He just tells me what my options are and discusses what my problem areas are. We should always have the option to discuss the meds and make the decision.

Roselyn, nice work on the chest workout.

Hi,

STS 2 Upper Body 2 is done.

Diane - yes, it‘s amazing when we use the balance disc. I was very wobbly on that thing when Cathe took her hands of the bar. I definatly need to work on my balance more. My bone density is normal. It‘s the bone spurs in my neck/shoulder. Not sure if that has anything to do with bone density? What is the name of the bone density you take? I am wondering if I can do something to prevent my body from falling apart besides working out? I will look into those vitamins that Jolie recommended. My Rheumatologist isn‘t pushing meds on me either. He always tells me the good and the bad about everything i take.

Roselyn - good job on your upper body yesterday.

No workout today, I worked late last night and just didn't feel like getting up early.

Diane - I'll have to check out Gloved Up and Sweaty, sounds right up my alley. I always get my blood work done early in the morning and fast for it. But you can still have bad readings if you eat a lot of sugars and pastas a week beforehand, apparently it stays in your body. Where do you get those protein bars from? I saw an advertisement for ones called David, which is weird, but they look like they have good ingredients in them. Expensive, though. I don't care for beans much or quinoa either. Both are gross to me. I do add beans to soups and things like that, but I can't eat tons of beans all the time.

Jolie - Great workouts!!

Belinda - Great job with your workouts! I think supplements are a better option than prescription drugs. That is just money in the doctors pocket.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

Today I did CDorner Salsa Step Party, #452, 33 minutes, 187 calories, heart rate 125/153, 2,679 steps and the first 12 minutes of CDorner Yoga inspired mobility, 31 calories. My husband and I had an errand to run so I needed something short. Time was 45 minutes, 228 calories.

Debbie here is the link to IQ Bars https://a.co/d/0fLJcf7 They sell some at Sprouts, but I usually order from Amazon. Walmart also sells them, but usually have them shipped to me. I do not mind beans in some soups, but not often. I made that cashew chicken stew with lima beans recently. I had not had that for a long time.

Belinda, the calcium is AlgaeCal stronger bones for life. It is supposed to reduce risk of osteoporosis and stop bone loss. As far as bone spurs and osteoarthritis the body tries to rebuild by building bone spurs. RA, injuries, overuse, aging, vitamin D deficiency all can lead to bone spurs. I had the bone spur in my shoulder which they shaved off when they repaired the tear. I have them in my neck too. I am hoping the knew med helps slow this all down. My Chest CT results were discouraging. They have not called me, but I read it over late last night. It mentioned sizes of lung nodules, partial compression on T7 vertebrae which is where I have had pain and goes through to the chest area, thyroid cyst showed. I have known it was there. Also know with all of the coughing it has gotten larger. It is recommended I see doctor and do the test every few months.

Yesterday my internet was down almost the whole day so I could not check in. I walked the pup 3 miles in the morning and 2 miles in the late afternoon. I slept like a champ last night; all of this walking is through steep hills and it really zaps the energy right out of me. Today I did Cathe's STS 2.0 Upper Body workout 1 and had a ton of energy during the workout. I ate 2 eggs prior to the workout, I usually eat after I workout. Maybe that is what gave me so much more energy today? I fast for a long time; I stop eating at 3pm and do not eat till 7am the next morning. I may try eating before I work out and see if that is the issue for lack of energy sometimes.

Great job with the workouts everyone! Summer is right around the corner and we have to be tank top and short ready, even at our ages!

I stretched my neck muscles last night because they were so tight and now my neck muscles really hurt and into my jaw area where my glands are. Has this ever happened to anyone else? It is sore to swallow. That stretch surely backfired on me :(

Belinda, I like the brands like Life Extension, Doctors Best, Jarrow ect. You get what you pay for in nutritional supplements but D3 is not expensive either is magnesium. My K2 is by Jarrow. I get it all on Amazon. Check out this man on Instagram, he is very knowledgeable about the human body. drricberg you will get a ton of great information from him that is not traditional doctors medicine crap that just masks the problem instead of getting to the root cause.

Have a great Saturday.

Evening,

I did Functional Mobility Fusion. The more I do this one the more I like it. I still have to modify quite a bit.

Diane - thank you so much for the brand on supplements you take. I will look into it tonight. I had a busy day today. I take high doses of Vit D. Very interesting about bone spurs can rebuild. I am so sorry about your CT scan :( You are going through so much. I hope the doctor can help.

Jolie - thank you so much for all your advice and info on the brands. It‘s very confusing. I will look them up this evening on Amazon.

Debbie - lol. I agree with you. I will look into all the supplements and hopefully it will help to slow things down. I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Good night.

Jolie, nice work on the walks and STS 2 Upper Body workout 1. I think Jarrow and Life Extension are reasonably priced. I think I check Life Extension first though. I still have Jarrow Bone Up sitting in the pantry. It caused me stomach cramps and inability to go to the bathroom. one favorite of mine is Adapt Naturals by Chris Kressor. I particularly like the Bio Avail Omega + as it has the omegas with black seed oil and Novasol curcumin. I used these along with the multi, but they just do not fit my budget. The Omega runs 61 dollars for 30 day supply. The multi has everything in it. I also did Thorne, but the supplements again are high. That lasted for about 6 months. The adapt naturals shows their CoAs and test results on their third party test results on their website. I have watched Dr Eric Berg on Youtube.

Belinda, good job on LMR Functional Mobility Fusion. I really like all of these workouts. I did the mini upper body workout that is part of the foam roller upper today. All but the jack knife move. It is hard on my wrists doing planks with my hands on the foam roller. They are bone spurs because they are trying to build bone back that is lost or has a problem. I am kind of bummed right now and my neck has been hurting for two days. I see the pulmonologist in May. I still need to set up the calcium score test. They do not do it in the place I went for the chest CT so I guess I have to drive the distance to the heart hospital. I sent a copy of my results to my daughter. She was concerned about the partial compression on the spine. I always share with her as sometimes reading the results looks scary and sometimes not as bad as the wording looks.

Jolie - I didn't want the time to change, I'm so sick of this back and forth. Why they can't just leave the time at standard time? Who needs it to stay light out until 10 p.m.? When we go to bed during the week it's light out. I find that so stupid. That's just my opinion, it really bothers me. I hate that it's dark when I drive to work in the morning. Oh well, what can you do? Nice job on your workout! Sorry you lost the internet the other day, that is really annoying when that happens.

Belinda - Great job with your workouts this weekend!

Diane - Great job with your workout on Saturday. Thanks for the link on those protein bars, I may try them.

Have a great day everyone!!

Yesterday I walked the pup 4 miles, 2.5 in the am and 1.5 in the pm. Today's workout I did CL All In Upper Body but changed it up a bit. Instead of lite weights and high reps, I did heavy weights and lower reps. I like it better this way, I feel like I am getting a reall good workout. Tomorrow is a walk and then Thursday early in the am I have my dental surgery for my implant for my tooth so no workout on that day. I am not sure when I will be able to work out after the surgery, I forget. It should not be that long, just so there is no jumping and bouncing ect.

Debbie, the latest it stays light out in the summer in So Cal is 8:30pm so we like this time change. We are so low compared to you away from Canada so we like to have it stay lite longer. When it is the other way it gets dark before 5pm. Great job on the box and butt workout today!

Roselyn, great job with the workout.

I hope you all have great workouts today. It is supposed to start raining so I have to go out and bring in all the patio cushions and rugs.

Have a great day.
