Hardcore Fitness Maniacs March 2025

This morning I did RAW Kickboxing #3 and then did RAW Yoga Stretch. I really like the music in the KB one, its good and upbeat. I also really liked the Yoga Stretch, I will be doing that one more often.

Total workout time was 48 minutes, burned 349 calories, did 3223 steps and HR was 137/178.

Belinda - nice job on your hike and Giant sets workout!

Diane - OMG, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. How sad. I understand your decision, though, we would have done the same thing. Why prolong the inevitable and the misery for the poor thing. Aww, I am so sad to hear this. I use Anthony's Marine Collagen and really like it. I used to use Vital Proteins but that stuff is just way overpriced. Anthony's is a great and trusted brand and I buy a lot of their powders. I have been using Marine Collagen for years and years. I never had joint issues so it must be helping with that.

I did live zoom dance plus .STS 2 No Equipment Abs + STS 2 Chair Yoga. Dh and I went for a long walk yesterday evening.

Debbie - great job on your kickboxing workout.

Diane - I am so sorry to hear about your dog. Is it Gerdi? I know the decision isn’t easy. My heart goes out to you. You poor thing.

Today I did STS 2.0 Body Parts Triceps. Had an excellent workout, I like this one even though I don't like working my triceps.

1 minute rest between sets.

Lying Overhead Barbell Extension: 30# - 3 sets/10 reps
R/L Single Arm Overhead Extension: 12# - 2 sets/10 reps
Dips: 30# in lap - 3 sets/8 reps
R/L Kneeling Single Arm Kickback: 12# - 2 sets/10 reps
Band Overhead Extension: 15# band - 2 sets/12 reps
Band Triceps Pressdown, Palms back: 20# band - 2 sets/12 reps
Band Reverse Grip Pressdown, Palms front: 20# band - 2 sets/12 reps

Total time was 39 minutes, burned 179 calories, HR was 103/131.

My dental implant went well but I have severe swelling and pain this time. My surgeon put in a much bigger implant this time since I had the room in the jawbone, for stability reasons and this has made the recovery harder this time. I have swelling, pain and an earache yesterday and today, hopefully that goes away soon. I am not supposed to workout till I feel better, but I have been walking the dog for my exercise. Yesterday I walked 3 miles but today I am taking the day off because of the pain. Tomorrow will just be getting some steps in and I will see how I feel early next week.

Great job with the workouts the past few days everyone!

This morning I did RAW TLC Shadow Boxing. I like this one, it's different then her other boxing stuff. Used my 1.5# egg weights for a few segments, then started feeling tightness in my neck and upper shoulder blade area so dropped them at that point. Had a great workout. I also walked on my treadmill for about 15 minutes and wend .70 miles.

Workout was 50 minutes, burned 416 calories, did 5607 steps and HR was 142/187. My HR did not get that high. Weird.

Good Evening,

I have been battling a headache for the last 3weeks don’t know if it’s weather or heart rate issues. I have been having some problems my doctor did an EKG there is just enough cha to warrant seeing my cardiologist again I haven’t seen them since 2023. Still trying to get the contacts to fit on the 6th pair and I am going to make this last. DH was cleared for lung cancer and past his breathing test so no CT scan for 12 months and unless there is a change that will be it because insurance won’t pay for another one. I did Raw TBTS Lower Body tonight really wanted a walk but it’s to windy so I laid out instead.

Debbie-I really am trying but there is so much going on with me right now.
 
Today I did Pure Strength Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Had a great workout. I haven't done this workout since 2023. It's fast so it's hard to go way heavy. I did rest more between sets. I didn't want any injuries.

I have not done much in the way of workouts. I miss Gertie so much. Lots of tears. My husband took me to lunch today and asked if I wanted to go to the animal shelter. We came home with another dog and named him Harvey which was a fictional character my husband used to use in jokes and stories when he did drug talks in schools for DARE. I did CDorner Cardio Old school 70's and 80's Saturday along with LMR Functional Pilates Fusion.
Yesterday I did CDorner All Standing Low Impact Cardio 80's music33 minutes, 221 calories, heart rate 139/165, 3,473 steps and LMR Anytime mobility bonus 17 minutes, 44 calories.
No workout today.

Debbie, nice workouts this week. I don't know when I last did Pure Strength workouts. I set up to do a TLC with the heavy bag which I had to pull out into the room, but ended up with pain in my right arm and neck so have just done a little cardio and mobility. I have used Terranics multi collagen that had a lot of types of collagen. The thing is some of the ones that are lower cost and often say there is more servings, but they are talking 9 mg of protein. Ones like Vital Proteins servings are 20 mg per serving. Ancient nutrition will often say 20 gm on the front, but lists it as one scoop is a serving at 10mg. If that makes sense. I look for third party tested and where the product is made. I won't buy from the odd brands because there is chances of things being in there that should not be. I have not looked at Anthony's collagen. I will check it out.

Roxie, sorry you have all of that going on. Nice work getting in Raw TBTS Lower Body.

This morning I did RAW Butts & Guts. I like this one, it is a good lower body and ab workout. It's tabata style, 20 on 10 off.

Plie Pulses
Frog Squats
(alternate between the two for 8 sets)

Knee Crunch/Shin Block: 2# ankle weights
8 sets alternating sides: 2# ankle weights

Pendulums: 2# ankle weights
8 sets

Abs: Lying Side Oblique Crunch
Reverse Curl
8 sets through this circuit

Full Lying Crunch: (I did Russian Twist and Dead Bug alternating)
8 sets

Workout was 39 minutes, burned 161 calories (my HR did not get up very high doing this), HR was 96/132.

Roxie - I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles lately. I know what it's like to have contacts that aren't right. I have my yearly eye appointment next week and I can't wait. For the last year I have been wearing contacts that just don't fit my eyes right and they drive me crazy. They usually come out by noon every day. I hope your heart issues are just anxiety. I know that's not good to have, but it's better than most alternatives with heart issues. Hopefully they can do something for you. If you are drinking caffeine, stop it immediately. I've had issues with anxiety and I take a supplement to help with stress and anxiety and it works well. If you are interested, I'll let you know what it is. I can't remember the name and I'm at work. I'm glad your DH was cleared for lung cancer. What a relief!!

Diane - I'm so sorry about Gertie. I'm glad you adopted another dog, what kind is he? How old it he? I love the name!! I hope that eases your pain a bit but I know you will miss Gertie always. I was going to use my heavy bag this morning, too, but for some reason I was worried I might injure myself. Intuition or something, so I didn't do it. I'm sorry you got injured doing the bag workout. I'll have to look into the Anthony's collagen but I'm pretty sure I did when I started taking it and saw that it was a good line. Great job with your workout.
