This morning I did RAW Step & Pump and had a great workout. The last tiime I did this on was the day Diane had her shoulder surgery. I only know that because I copied/pasted the workout so I didn't have to type it all in. LOL! Loved this workout, it's not frantic and it's not hard, it's a great workout for days when you just want to get something in.

Everything was 1 minute long and 10 seconds of rest

Cardio Step Boxing - 1 minute
Dumbbell Curls: 12's
Wide Dumbbell Curls: 12's (these hurt my elbows but I was careful doing them and didn't feel any pain)

Cardio Step Boxing - 1 minute
Front Raise: 8's
Lateral Raise: 8's

Cardio Step Boxing- 1 minute
Overhead Triceps Extensions: 8's
Kickbacks: 5's

Cardio Step Boxing- 1 minute
One Arm Row: 12#

Cadrio Step Boxing- 1 minute
Chest Press: 12's
Chest Flyes: 12's

Repeat all of the cardio together X3

Repeat all of the weights together one time through

Fun stuff! Workout was 44 minutes, burned only 355 calories (last time I show I burned only 173 calories! That was with my FB), did 1692 steps and HR was 130/157.

Jolie - I'm glad you got your tooth fixed, I can't believe how expensive dental work is. Yikes!! We pay insurance our entire adult lives and get almost nothing in return from them, it's not right. Good job with your walking workout yesterday. I agree with you on the weight lifting - it used to be all I wanted to do. Now I really enjoy the cardio and weights workout and find it keeps me toned and my weight down. I also seem to gain weight when I lift heavy. For now I am just doing what I feel like day to day. I seem to hurt myself every time I go back to lifting. I'm glad we have a variety of workouts to do, things never really get too boring.

Diane - How is that Hip Hop Tabata? I was looking at that one but not sure I wanted to try high impact. I really like that Ab Finisher I did yesterday but I get tired of hearing her sons song. Other than that, I like both the standing and laying parts of it. It's a great ab workout, my abs are sore today.

Doreen, Roselyn and Belinda - Great job with your workouts!

Have a great day everyone!!

I did a really fun ride on Ifit this morning - The Trail of the Dead! It was all set up like a race away from zombies! They did a really good job with it (told you to turn off lights, etc) and it was really fun! You never knew when another zombie would come in from the side of the screen and you would have to race away! Of course it was still dark at 6 am and when I turned my lights off the basement was creepy dark to start with!!!

Today I had a fantastic workout, I did Les Mills Combat #90 kickboxing workout using1-pound gloves. This workout was 45 minutes with a good stretch at the end, I burned 455 calories. Average heart rate was 136 and max was 169. I had to modify on the high impact moves, but they always show a modification to do. However, I sometimes deviate from the modification and do some sort of squat or kicks instead. I really need to do a lot of squats the next few months if I want to go snow skiing this year. Skiing for 8 hours straight per day requires very strong quads and glutes so I better get on it!

Debbie, great job on the workout today, that one looks really fun! Nice calorie burn too :) I am going to look through some workouts on Youtube today and see what I can come up with for a lite weightlifting workout. Maybe I will just pull out some older DVDs, shoot, I have enough of them.

Doreen, your workout sounds really good! Great job on the ride.

Roselyn, how are your glutes feeling today?

Belinda, I hope you got some well deserved rest last night.

Diane Sue, nice job on hip hop Tabata workout yesterday. I love Tabata workouts, I wish more instructors would do them.

BBL to read the other posts for the day.

No workout. I went to get my eye exam this morning and order some new reading glasses with bifocals. I was surprised with insurance how much it still cost. Although they did do some extra tests because of cataracts and the hydroxychloroquine. I added the scratch and anti-glare to the lenses. I have not gone out and purchased glasses in years. I have just been using readers from Walgreens and Amazon. I am looking forward to decent glasses. Everything has increased so much in cost:eek:

Roselyn, nice workout.

Belinda, great job getting in Fuel Day upper body. I don't know how you do it. You have to be exhausted.

Debbie, great job on Step and Pump. I like that it is really not a lot of step cardio work and gets the job done. I copy and paste when you post some of Kelly's workouts and add in my notes. I will make points on workouts that have lots of overhead or to the floor work so if I am hurting, I know it is probably not a good one for the day. I liked that Tabata workout. Some of hers end up with too much jumping, squat thrusts, and impact stuff. I did not have a problem with this one and did do a little of her modifier moves. Most pair of moves had one that was a bit lower intensity than the other move and 20 seconds work is doable. I did not write it all down as workouts like that and writing really takes my heart rate down fast.

Doreen, that sounds fun having zombies come out at you. That is funny about doing it when it is dark.

Jolie, Les Mills Combat workouts are so much fun. I have used my Les Mills Pump workouts and just did the lower body segments to really burn out the lower body. There are so many reps in those workouts.

Evening,

I walked today and did Fuel Day 18 LB.

My sister finally got the results from the autopsy. The pulmonary embolism caused my niece to have a heart attack :( I still can't believe it. So sad. I will find out more about when the funeral is. My niece is getting cremated. Yesterday I talked to my sisters mother in law she is 85. I always been very close to her. She didn't know until yesterday her grandchild passed. She was very close to her grand child. The mother in law is very sick at the moment. They all were afraid she would get a heart attack once she finds out. They had a doctor came to her house and gave her a meds and shots to calm her down. When I called all she did is cry :( It's so much going on. I am only here to listen and let everyone cry. It's tearing me up.

Diane - aww...I am exhausted. Especially being up at night. I get phone calls at night, I am not mad since my family aren't thinking straight with the time change.

Julie - I do fall sleep on the couch each night, lol. I get some sleep but not enough.

I will catch up with more personals tomorrow. Thanks for all the prayers

Today I did a really fun workout and I'm not sure I ever did it even though it looks like I did. It was RAW Box & Squat. What a fun and great paced workout. I totally loved it. My knees did ok, but were feeling it towards the end. I wonder what is wrong with them? My upper body is good but I was careful with the boxing segments.

50 seconds on/10 seconds off - I used 1# hand weights through the entire workout

Boxing: Jab/Cross/Set
Legs: Squat Pulse/3 Knees
Repeat other side

Boxing: Jab Cross/3 Knees
Legs: Squat Out/Press Up
Repeat other side

Boxing: Hook/Up/Hook/Bob
Legs: Side Lunge/Knee/Reverse Lunge
Repeat other side

Boxing: Jab/Cross/Twist/Up/Up/Duck (this was fun)
Legs: Plies/Press Up
Repeat other side

Boxing: Hook/Hook/Out Hook/Shuffle Back (this was fun too)
Legs: Crouching Squats
Repeat other side

Boxing Combos

Standing Ab Work

So fun!! It went by so fast and she had great boxing segments in there. The Crouching Squats remind me of that Elvis song Cathe played in Legs & Glutes (I think) where she does this exercise to that song.

Workout was 38 minutes, burned 353 calories, did 3037 steps and HR was 143/172.

Doreen - The scary workout you did yesterday sounds like a hoot!! I bet it was fun. Great motivations to go fast.

Jolie - Great workout yesterday, I really need to get on Les Mills website and check out their workouts. I keep forgetting or just don't have the time.

Diane - I often wonder why we pay so much for insurance when they never cover anything. If I add up all the thousands of dollars I have sent to our insurance company, it should be able to cover my medical expenses from now until I die. So ridiculous. Someone is getting rich, that's for sure!! I may try that CDorner Tabata workout tomorrow, I'll see if I feel like it. I do what you do, I always look at the exercises to make sure I'm ok doing them that day. How sad that we have to do this. I really hate aging, it bums me out every single day.

Belinda - So sorry to hear about your niece and what she passed of, it is very sad. I'm so sorry to hear about her grandmother, too, I'm sure it is very hard for her to hear this. And then the guilt sets in and she's probably wondering why she was taken instead of her granddaughter. :( Praying for you all. God rest her soul.

Well, gotta get to work, hope you all have a great day!

This morning my ifit won't load on my bike?!? Must have run some update and failed so now I have to figure that out. I did a 15 minute HIIT with Hannah Eden but lots of jumping so I didn't do it the 2nd time through and switched to a Tabata rowing workout for 15 minutes.

Today I did CDorner Legs and Butt workout, 54 minutes, 134 calories, heart rate 93/131, 580 steps. I then did CDorner Fast Basic Step #240 Disco music, heart rate 116/144. 186 calories, 3,444 steps, 42 minutes. I finished with CDorner Morning stretch on the beach, 12 minutes, 19 calories. Total time was 1 hr 48 minutes, 339 calories, 4,024 steps. I woke up with no painful areas today :) One of those rare times. No stiff neck, back or knees. Roselyn, I really like CDonner kickbox workouts. I saw she has a new one.

Belinda, that is so sad and I am sure the family is grateful for your heart felt listening. So sad that they had to tell her grandmother. I can only imagine how much that would break her heart. Calls at night sometimes cannot be helped from that distance. Sending prayers out for you.

Debbie, I copied and pasted that workout. I swear, I think I did it before, but it is not in my notebook of Raw workouts. I know I pick up on the ones that are lower body with some cardio. I will have to do it again soon. Not right away though as I just did legs.
Yes, I am lucky I work with my arthritis center and manage to get a discount on my medicine as my part D has such a huge deductible and then the copay thing it hardly pays to use it as I only have one med. Better sometimes to go through Good RX or something. My supplement went up again 6 months after the last time. I guess from the letter it is age and usage that prompted the increase. Do these people not know that older people that are retired do not get cost of living increases?
Yes, it is sad that we cannot just pick a workout and not think about what hurts or we cannot do. Aging is a bummer!

Doreen, it is so frustrating when our technology is not working. Great though when everything runs smoothly. You came out with a good workout though.

Hello to Jolie and Roxie.

This morning I did RAW Megamix 2 again. I seriously did not feel like even working out this morning but I did this one and now I feel better. I feel like I don't sleep all night but I am actually sleeping really hard at night. It's weird because then when I wake up I feel like I didn't sleep at all. Hard to explain but lately that is what has been happening. I love this workout, it was perfect for today.

Each drill was 45 seconds

Round 1
Kettlebell: Double Arm Swing - 10#/15#
Boxing: 1# dumbbells
Tubing: Bicep Curl/Alternate Lat Raise
Loop Band: Two Side Steps in crab position
Repeat

Round 2
Kettlebells: Figure 8 - 15#
Boxing: 1# dumbbells
Tubing: Single Arm Overhead Extension (killed!)
Loop Band: Plie Squat Out
Repeat

Round 3
Kettlebells: Alternate Swing - 15#
Boxing: 1# dumbbells
Tubing: Bent Rows/Upright Row (I was worried about this, I was careful)
Loop Band: Alternate Leg Out/Leg Back
Repeat

Great workout! It was 40 minutes, burned 303 calories, did 1832 steps and HR was 127/153.

Diane - How cool that you woke up yesterday with no pain, that is awesome. I am happy on the days I wake up with no pain but it is far a few between. Lately my left calf has been bothering me, not sure what is going on with it, it feels like its swollen and I was wondering if it could be a blood clot. My husband looked at it and said there is a vein running down the back of the leg that looks sort of blown or ruptured. Hoping it heals on its own, really weird. Great job with the workout yesterday, that one looks like a good one. I think you will like Box and Squat, just maybe don't use weights for the boxing part if your worried about your shoulders. I did great with the 1# dumbbells. The knot in my back is still there but not bad, it just feels a bit strained.

Hope everyone else is well! Have a great weekend!

This morning I did a 35 minute ride in Iceland with Yuri - I like him as a trainer. My bike software finally loaded back up and I was able to log in and ride this morning without problem thankfully.

Yesterday was a rest day for me, poor sleep due to my dog barking all night, so I opted for a rest day. However, today I made up for not working out yesterday and did 2 Les Mills Combat workouts using 1# weighted gloves with each workout and I thought I would damn near die toward the end of the second workout. Workout #59 was 34 minutes and workout #58 was 32 minutes. At the end I did a nice stretch because my hamstrings were used in a ton of kicks today. Total workout time was 1 hour 15 minutes and I burned 729 calories. My heart rate was 135 average and 197 max. I did not eat before my workout and I ran out of energy towards the end. I did two workouts today because tomorrow I am meeting my parents for an early breakfast and probably won't wake up in time to workout. I am getting really excited about my kickboxing results, my upper body is getting leaner and I am incorporating a lot of squats for my legs. Next week I will be added back weights to my workout, and I will have to see how that goes with the shoulder issue. I actually feel like my collar bone is out of place so I will have my chiro look at it next Friday when I go for my checkup. I think that is what is causing the knot on my chest.

Debbie, great job on the workout today. Weird about the vein on your leg, maybe you should have that checked out. I need to see my doctor and it is taking 3 months for me to get an appointment, otherwise I have to go to urgent care where they just tell you to go and see your primary doctor. This is nuts for how much we pay for insurance!

Roselyn, great job on your workout yesterday.

Doreen, how did you like the rowing workout? I would die rowing for 15 minutes straight!!!

Belinda, I hope you are doing well today.

Diane Sue, great job on the workout yesterday. I do not take any liver supplements or food, that is the toxic dumping ground of the body for any species and that in its self is gross to me. I do take a live support supplement for my own liver, Milk Thistle but I do not ingest liver. BTW, my Jarrow supplements are from Los Angeles, I know the lab and it is a very high standard facility. Jarrow does not make any product in China, I would never purchase any supplement made in China.

I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Evening,

I am sorry for not checking in yesterday. i totally forgot I promised DD to watch Cooper. DH and I drove to DC yesterday, we are staying until Sunday.

Thursday was a rest day from Fuel. Today DH and I walked to the National Mall. We walked almost 5 miles today. We also took Cooper and Sadie. Than we went to Georgetown to crap a bit to eat. DH and I haven‘t been to Georgetown since covid. We had had a lot of fun today.

The funeral for my niece will probably around the 24 or 25th of Oct. I will start looking for a fight to Germany. Since I haven‘t been back home in years, DH and I thinking of staying a few weeks. I have a lot of appointments coming up. Hopefully I don‘t have to cancel.

Diane - it breaks my heart not able to do more. I mean I do what I can from the distance. I know they all not thinking straight, they all know there is a 6 hour difference.

Good night.

Today I started with CDorner Kickboxing Hiit from yesterday's class she did but stopped after round 1 when I realized she was going to do more stuff on the floor, and there was quite a bit of jacks in it. When I was doing the plank moves it made my foot and toe start hurting so I decided to find something else. It was okay though; I just was not feeling it. That was 17 minutes, 80 calories, heart rate 116/144, 827 steps. I then did one I have done before I liked, Crazy Fun Dance, kickboxing, and stretch, 49 minutes, 214 calories, heart rate 121/154, 3,638 steps. She made several of these workouts that are around 15 to 20 minutes, each segment. I like them. Nice stretch at the end as well and she worked on the feet. Total time was 66 minutes, 294 calories, 4,465 steps.

Debbie, I keep opening up my notes and looking at the Megamix 1 and thinking I should do it. It has been so long since I have done it. I like the one you did today a lot. I usually just use my 1# dumbbells so if I feel anything uncomfortable, I can quickly drop them. I hope that it is not anything serious with your calf. If it is bothering you though, maybe get it checked out. I had a weird experience a few weeks ago with my foot. I had worked out and showered and when I went to put lotion on, I noticed the top of my foot had swollen into a big purple knot. I texted my daughter a picture and she said to wrap it up in an ace bandage and prop my foot up. I guess that stopped the bleeding under the skin or something as I guess I popped a vessel. It went away. I know I would have seen it before my shower since I had just finished sitting on the floor stretching, I am sure I would have noticed. It must have just happened.
I hear you on the sleeping. Sometimes I seem to sleep soundly and do not hear my husband come in or anything, but when I get up, I am dragging. I wear my Garmin to bed though and find it interesting how it picks up on things. I can have a 7- or 8-hour sleep and it will still say my body battery is low and it tells me I need more rest. Then I notice if I have had a rest day and spent it relaxing in my chair and reading a lot, my body battery goes back up the next day. I think it picks up on anxiety over things too. I do have those off nights and the last couple of them I woke up several times, tried to go back to sleep and ended up with 5 hours of sleep which does not work for me and being productive. Oh, and when I sleep and have dreams, I am usually tired the next day. I seem to mostly get bad dreams.

Doreen, nice work with the Iceland ride. I am glad your software loaded back up and it worked for you.

Jolie, nice job getting two workouts in. When I get together with my friends for game days and breakfast I do not work out for the same reason. I am lucky if I get up and arrive by 9 am. The one who is hosting this time is about a 45-minute drive for me so will be up and running Tuesday. That is great that you are seeing good results with your workouts.
I always thought liver would not be healthy. I read so many conflicting things and was researching on it and there were positive things. I usually go for reliable med sources though as you see so many ads that will take you to their supplements. I did eat liver when I was younger, but then my husband mentioned what the liver does since it filters out toxins. So I lost my appetite for it. I watched a couple of interviews on youtube with different health "experts" One was Dr Gundry with Dave Aspry and they made sort of a joke about another. I knew the other Paul Saladino as I had looked at his stuff before and his diet is awful as it was organ meat every meal.
I don't remember where I read that Jarrow was from China. I look for multiple sources. I am pretty sure many companies do source some items from other countries even though they are made here. I was glad when I saw some companies that actually grow their own mushrooms. Like lions mane, reishi, turkey tail and that sort of thing, I used to use Jarrow as they seemed to be a quality product that was not too expensive. One of the ladies in my group makes her own liposomal C.

Belinda, the diversion with the dogs and going to Georgetown and the National Mall sounds like it was good for you. I know you have a lot on your mind and getting ready to make a trip to Germany and appointments is probably adding to anxiousness. Keeping you in my prayers.

I purhcased a Firestick earlier and it arrived last night - I spent last night setting it up for my workout this morning and wow!! The ifit app on Firestick is so much easier to navigate than the app on Roku and the firestick app allows you to play music with the workout! So much nicer to have music playing with the instructor- and you can control the music station and the mix between the music and instructor!! Aaanndd - I can even connect my bluetooth headphones directly to the stick so that the instructor's mouth is synced with the sound!! I'm so impressed I'm getting one for my husband for his TV upstairs!

So I did 2 HIIT workouts with Hannah Eden this morning, each at different waterfalls in Iceland - and it was raining on her too!! And she had to lay on her mat for one move and I could see there were puddles so she must have gotten soaked to the skin! My thighs are now so sore from one of her moves in the workouts - I think it was the fast feet in bear crawl position!!

Today I did CDorner Step Aerobics and weights from 3 weeks ago. This was 54 minutes, heart rate 110/147, 2,783 steps. I liked this one as nothing complicated. Music was decent and no high impact. I woke up this morning and my low back hurts so bad. Not sure why, but I have stretched, soaked in warm water, and taken Advil. We have things to go out and do today.
I did CDorner Chair stretch from July 31. I did it in my secondary workout room and really had complications. Roku was not cooperating with loading youtube and suggested a sd card. It is a Roku 3.0 I guess it is old. Anyway when it loaded finally I had started up I could not see the bottom of the screen. I went to the all in one computer which the keyboard was not working on for some reason and I could not log into Google. I finally gave up and used my tablet.

CDorner Step Aerobics and Weights
each cardio segment 3 minutes and each weight/strength segment was 3 minutes doing two moves for 8 reps and repeating till 3 minutes were up
step cardio 3 minutes
strength reverse lunge row 10# dbs and crossback lunge hammer curl
cardio 3 minutes
strength push ups or bench press option I chose bench press 10# dbs and dips or kickbacks I did kickbacks 10's
cardio 3 minutes
Strength bicycles lying on step and plank knee cross (there are different options here)
cardio 3 minutes
reverse lunge front raise right 8 reps followed by reverse lung lateral raise 8 reps on left side
cardio that she continues longer than 3 minutes
finishing with abs standing side bend holding step or weight me 5# 8 reps followed by plank knees out to sides alternating both moves done twice
stretch

Doreen, I love my Fire Stick. It works so much better than the Roku. I bought one for the main television as well and my husband still insists on using the Roku. He just goes to Amazon when he wants to find something there with Roku. For whatever reason he thinks Roku is easier. I bought the Fire Stick for in originally because he could not get the OU sports channel on the Roku. Now it is available on Roku for extra cost. I am tempted to move that one to my secondary workout room. That is where the spin bike, rebounder, and Fit Tower are all located. Not much room in there though. Particularly with my dog.

I did a recovery ride on IFIT around the Blue Lagoon in Iceland today. That place is so interesting! Then I took the dog out for a short bike ride too. Lots of dog walkers out this morning and he gets distracted so it was a bit hard.

Today I walked uphill on my TM for 40 minutes and traveled 2.2 miles. Next, I did an upper body circuit 2 time round, and it felt good to lift weights again. When I do overhead presses, my trap makes a clicking or snapping sound, I suppose that is the fascia pulling with each rep. Total workout time was 58 minutes and I burned 467 calories.

Chest Press- 15's x 20, x 20
Wide Grip Pull Downs- 50# x 20, x 20
Seated Overhead Press- 12's x 20, x 20
Seated Traditional Bicep Curls- 12's x 20, x 20
Lying Triceps Ext.- 10's x 20, x 20

I skipped ABS because I have done a lot of kicking this week and that is so good for my ABS, I think that is enough for this week. Now, next week is another story.

Great job with the workouts everyone. Overcast and foggy here today, and the temps are lower too! YEAH!

Make it a great Sunday.
