Wow, March already!! Holy smokes. This morning I walked on my treadmill for a bit, my knee is really bothering me. I think I might have to go have it looked at. :( Not sure when the heck I'll have time to do that. I'll give it a couple more weeks and then decide.

Workout was 35 minutes, burned 138 calories, did 1.9 miles and 4058 steps. HR was 84/90 so not very high.

I also did the RAW Ab Finisher, it is half standing and have on the floor. I really like this ab workout. Not too fond of the music, but it's growing on me.

Workout was 18 minutes, burned 135 calories (more than when I walked for 35 minutes!) and HR was 132/151.

Jolie - Hope you have as much good luck with your PT as I did. I am thinking about going back to mine if my neck and upper back doesn't straighten up soon. Man, I'm falling apart again, I hate this. :( Good job on your workout yesterday.

Roxie - I love Anastasia's illuminating foundation. It is one of my holy grails. I think the only thing I have from Fenty is an eyeshadow primer which I don't care for much. I should get it out and try it again I suppose. It seems to get really tacky and the eyeshadow doesn't blend on it very well. Sorry you haven't heard back from Ulta yet, wonder what the deal is?

Doreen, Roselyn and Belinda - Nice job with your workouts!!

Diane - Hope you are feeling better and better.

Have a great day everyone!!

Wow- March...

So March started the iFit Champion series - which are workouts lead by Olympic and paraolympic athletes. I picked a strength workout this moring. And while the workout was too easy and I needed to modify and add exercises during the rest the trainers story - wow! She's a blind skier who is lead by her husband down the mountain via cues over the radio - amazing. Then she developed MS and had to fight her way back to skiing after several episodes- even at one point needing to learn to walk again. I wasn't expecting that when I picked the workout but it takes you out of your own little world to hear that and watch her lead a workout.

Today I went for a 3 mile walk outside, 1 hour at a slower than usual pace and burned 447 calories. It is going to be 80 degrees today, so I wanted to go outside to walk and enjoy the sunshine before it gets cold again. PT went good yesterday, he showed me how to even out my SI Joint doing stretches and I felt really good by the end of the day but, today I do not feel good. I rolled over in bed last night and something pulled and popped and now I feel worse. I give up! However, I am going back tomorrow to learn more, and he will stretch me out again. The stretching feels amazing! I think this is going to be a longer process this time, but I will persevere! Compared to what is going on in Ukraine, I decided to just shut up and deal with it, things could be much worse for me. I have an ice pack in my pants in the back to see if it makes me feel better, I did it yesterday and it really worked well.

Debbie, great job on the workout. Sorry to hear about your knee, maybe your kneecap needs to be adjusted. Sometimes they can get off track and just need to be put back in place.

Doreen, sound like an interesting workout today.

Belinda, sorry to hear about your knee! Wow, we are really all getting it somehow right now.

BBL to read the posts for the day.

Good Afternoon,

I took the dog for a walk today then did Job1 Start Strong Back, Glutes and Core. It was so nice outside I laid out in the sun for a while.

Debbie-I ordered the cream bronzer and 2 lip creams. I haven’t tried any of her stuff either but the bronzer is highly recommended. I use Milani eye primer.

I did Tracy Steen 50 min Barre & Cardio Kickboxing. I don't care for kickboxing much, but this was good. Her form sucks for kickboxing, but so does mine. It's more play kickboxing with very little punching and some fun moves. I was breathing hard and had a great cardio session without impact.

Yesterday was PT and I can see a lot of improvement. I changed the mammogram and bone scan again to next month though. My arm will not move laterally to shoulder level yet. We are really working on that though. It stops just below shoulder level. The receptionist said they have that happen a lot with patients that had shoulder surgery. 10 weeks tomorrow since surgery.
Today I did CDorner basic step Easy from 2/21 keeping the right arm down. This was 31 minutes, heart rate 121/142, 145 calories, 2,210 steps. I also did Cathe chair stretch 16 minutes, heart rate 87/102, 33 calories. It helps to get up and move around. The PT keeps telling me to do regular tasks. My husband ordered me a new recliner. He thought I would be more comfortable with it, and it has massage and lumbar heat along with a remote. I have left my other one open and been climbing in and out as the buttons are on the right side and I have difficulty getting my arm over the side and down as far as the buttons. Sort of pathetic.
Beautiful warm weather today. Funny though as we still have ice along the side of our fence and the front doorstep.

Belinda, nice work with upper body supersets today. Oh no on the knee. I hope that the doctor can help.

Debbie, I hope the knee is nothing serious. Maybe they can x ray and see what is going on. I like that Ab workout too.

Jolie, I hope the PT helps. I wish I could say the stretching feels amazing. It does sometimes help once the initial pain wears off. It loosens things up a bit, but I have to come home, and ice and it takes a few hours to settle down. My heart goes out to those people in Ukraine. It would be terrifying going through what they are going through.

Roxie, nice work with back, glutes, and core. I enjoyed a little time outside today too but wiping down the grill and counters on the patio and sweeping. I have seen Anastasia. Is Color Pop online? I ordered a NYX eye shadow that was matte and had good reviews off Amazon for a highlight color and like it better than some of these singles that I have spent 22 dollars for. Palates are kind of a waste because I tend to use the highlight colors and one or two shades and the others I do not use.

Cam, I like kickboxing that has a lot of kicking in it. I keep looking at other instructors on youtube as I peddle on the spin bike. Some look interesting.

This morning I did RAW 4 Day Split Chest and Back and had a great workout. I went a bit lighter this morning due to all my aches and pains, but still had a really good workout. I also changed up a few exercises due to tricep and elbow pain. Good Lord!!

This was 1 minute per exercise going slow and controlled.

BACK
Lat Pulldown
: 10's (this was done standing and is hard for me, did what I could)
Reverse Pec Deck or Scap Squeeze: 10's (I did bent over rows)
Lawn Mower: 20#
Repeat

CHEST
Moderated Pullover/Close Grip Press
: 12's
W Bench Press: 12's (this is tough)
Dumbbell Flies: 15's
Repeat

This was about 25 minutes

Then I did the Boxing Finisher and used my 2# hand weights. This was 14 minutes.

Both workouts equaled 42 minutes, burned 229 calories and HR was 115/164.

Belinda - What did you do to your knee? Sounds like my left knee. I iced mine a couple days and the swelling went down. I can now walk up and down the stairs without pain but twisting it certain ways still hurt. Let me know what they say about your knee. I didn't see your post from yesterday for some reason which is weird since I posted right after you.

Jolie - I'm glad you are feeling better, stretching helps a lot, I think I need to do some lower body stretching. It might help my knee. I might do that tomorrow. Hope your PT helps you, sounds like you found a good one. My heart goes out to the Ukrainian people as well. Could you imagine losing everything over night like that? So sad, it brings tears to my eyes when they show footage of it. Someone needs to blow Russia off the face of the planet. Or at least Putin! It's not his people's fault he's such an @sshole.

Doreen - That is an amazing story by the instructor for iFit. I couldn't even imagine doing that blind!! Wow! So inspirational!

Roxie - Let me know how the bronzer is. I use Milani eye primer too but I find it's as sticky as the Fenty one i use. I have been using the Maybelline Age Rewind Brightener as shadow primer and it works very well.

Cam - Nice job on your workout. I LOVE kickboxing. I could do it every day if my body let me. LOL!!

Diane - Nice job with the step workout. I've been wanting to do some step workouts but I'm afraid it will make my knee worse. I will wait until I feel like I can do it safely. Glad you are getting more range of motion in your arm. It will come, slowly but surely!!

Roselyn - Hope you have a great workout today!

Have a great day everyone!

This morning I did a Ifit bike ride by a young snowboarder. so I had read the comments and was prepared that it wasn't the most intense bike ride and the instructor wasn't that great. And the comments were pretty spot on. But - I don't think Ifit really set him up for success. They gave him a really lame route to bike (a dirt road around a ranch) that was mostly downhill (so he's telling us to start and interval and he's just coasting downhill) and didn't have a script rehearsed with him!!

Debbie - glad your knee is feeling better. My left knee is worst than my right knee. I been icing it for day's too. Elevating and resting as much as I can with all my appointments. No impact at all when I workout. I am seeing my Rheumatologist today to rule out RP. I been having a lot of problems with RP lately. Just can't catch a break. Last week my Rheumatologist had to put me right back on prednisone. That is my 3rd round in the last 3 month. I feel like I live on that stuff. I hate taking it. I do understand why I have to take it. It's the only med that will stop damaging the cartilage in my body faster than any other meds for RP. I do have arthritis in both my knees. My achilles tendinitis been bordering me for weeks too. I saw my primary doctor a few weeks ago. He said, the achilles (has cartilage) probably has something to do with RP. I hope it's just overuse, not related to RP. The swelling in my knees isn't going down. I noticed every time I get of MTX, I start relapsing. I had to stop taking MTX for my first vaccine in Jan, I still haven't recovered. I got the 2nd vaccine last week, I had to stay on all my immunosuppressants meds, I am currently on 2 at the same time :( I also on another round of prednisone and antibiotics. Why I am swelling up? I shouldn't feel a thing!

I was going to post this yesterday. Did you see this? I bought the bundle yesterday, it has a lot of good vegan ebooks and cooking classes. https://www.theultimateweightlossbundle.com

I will be back later, I need to get ready for my appointment.

Belinda - That link isn't loading for me, I'll try it again later. I'm sorry to hear you are having so many issues again. I can't believe that is happening to you. I will pray for you, my friend! Hugs.

Good Afternoon,

I went for another walk this afternoon and got some more sun time before the nice weather leaves us over the weekend. We are having another girls weekend go to a hockey game Saturday night never been to one.

Diane-you can buy some Colourpop in Ulta and more stuff on their website and they are always having some kind of sale on stuff.

Debbie-maybe the Milani primer is why I don’t think my eyeshadow goes on very well even though I put powder over it. I fell for the hype on the Oden’s eye Angelica pallet used it for the first time today and was not impressed.

Debbie - I sent you another link with instructors on the bundle, lol. I just came back from the Rheumatologist. She took out of my left knee 4. 5 syringes of fluids. She sending the fluids to the lab to find out what is causing it? I couldn't walk anymore, my knee was so swollen. The right knee is swollen, but not as bad as my left. I also have a lot of swelling down my legs and face from all the cortisone I been taking. I also got shots in both my knees to bring the swelling down. I just couldn't take the pain in my left knee anymore. I am resting, icing my knees tonight. Thank you for the prayers and hugs! I really need a break.

Checking in with Tracy Steen 50 min. No Repeat Abs, Cardio, Compound Strength. It was a 30, 45, 60 sec intervals. Each set: 30 sec abs, 45 sec cardio, 60 sec strength. Great workout! Got it all in.

Belinda, that sounds awful. Hope you are better tomorrow.

Goodnight everyone!

I got to PT this morning and the PT was getting ready to go to a business meeting. I guess when I set up Friday and he put the times down, he messed up. His assistant started a new job. She had studied for a particular job and put it for it a long time ago and they finally offered the job. So, he is waiting for his company to find someone else. I am scheduled for tomorrow morning instead which mean two days in a row as I have Friday morning as well. I do not like two days in a row. I was hoping stretching would help the upper back and shoulder as it hurts. For some reason I have a bruise on my elbow. Maybe that is where he was holding it last time to keep the arm straight as he is working mostly on the shoulder and scapular area when doing the stretching. I tend to bruise easily.

Debbie, when I had the torn meniscus s it would get better when I let up on lower body and I would think I was recovered, and the pain would come right back when I went back to working the lower body. It hurt on the inside and a bit toward the back of the inside of the knee. I often wonder if it could have healed on it's own if I had not kept getting better and going back to working out. Sometimes if there is enough of the right area still there that gets blood flow it can heal itself. I guess part of it is when we do not know what it is, how are we supposed to do the right thing with it? I just wish doctors were not so quick to do surgery or want to give meds to stop the pain without working on the real problem so it does not happen some more.

Belinda, with all of the different meds, I don't know how you keep going. Maybe some of that is causing swelling? Hopefully the doctors can figure something out. It seems like going from one type doctor to another would be difficult, although yours all seem to work together. I know my cardiovascular doctor and arthritis doctor keep my primary up on things. I don't think she knew about the pulmonologist though and the bone and joint surgeon is new on my list.

Cam, nice work with Tracy Steen today.

Roxie, it was beautiful outside again today here. It is supposed to rain this weekend.

Doreen, at least you knew ahead that the snowboarder ride was not as intense ahead of time. To bad that he did not have a script.

Jolie, I hope your pain is better today.

This morning I walked on my treadmill a bit and then did a bit of the RAW Athletic Stretch. I thought I had enough time to do the entire thing but I ran out of time again. I really want to do this one in its entirety one of these days. The lower body section was wonderful and my legs are so tight I can't help but wonder if that is part of my knee problem. I couldn't sit Indian style when I started and the first exercise I had to do with my left leg straight out instead of having the heel against my inner right knee. I couldn't do pigeon on my left side either but held the knee into my chest instead. But by the time I was finished with the lower body part of the workout, I could sit Indian style a bit and it didn't hurt. I need to do that workout again and will try to do it this weekend. My knee is feeling better.

Walk workout was 30 minutes, burned 119 calories, went 1.44 miles, did 3697 steps and HR was 80/105.

Roxie - I've never heard of Oden before. I need to stop ordering so much makeup, I am going broke. I have told myself that unless it's something I run out of, no more buying new stuff for a while. LOL! I do need to order the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Stick. Love that thing.

Belinda - OMG on your knee!!! How are you having so much swelling? I sure hope that goes away, glad you had that done and I hope your knee is better today. Hugs girl. You are dealing with some terrible problems. :(

Diane - I'm sorry you went to PT for no reason, that is irritating when that happens. I honestly don't think I have a tear in my knee, it doesn't hurt under the knee, just on the inside and under the knee cap, although the pain under my knee cap is gone. The stretching I did this morning helped a lot so I will continue with that here and there. I will rest my knee for another couple weeks until I feel like it is 100% healed. If it still lingers, I will definitely get it looked at. Did you end up having surgery on your knee?

Hope you all have a great workout!!

Good Morning,

No workout to report getting my haircut today and need to pack. I can’t decide what makeup to take lol.

Debbie-I hear you I have so many foundations open and way more eyeshadow than I will ever wear.

Diane-since you prefer singles I would suggest Sydney Grace she has beautiful shadows that are only 5-6.00. You can only order them on her site and she has good sales too.

Good morning,

Lower Body Strength Workout // Day 43 HR12WEEK 2.0 is done. I used 8's or even dropped the weights on some of the exercises.

Diane - my rheumatologist is on leave until next week. I saw another Rheumatologist (I saw textually 2) yesterday. Everyone at the Rheumatology knows about my disease. They are all aware what is going on and what meds I am on. Which is great, I don't have to explain what RP is or tell them what meds I am talking.I just couldn't take the pain/swelling in my left knee anymore. I could hardly walk anymore. I still feel some swelling/pain but nothing what I felt yesterday. I am already happy about that. I am curious about the lab resultsMy Rheumatologist became my primary doctor. He is the expert in RP. I prefer seeing/having everything done at the same hospital. My Rheumatologist is on top of my health and condition. I couldn't ask for any better doctor. I'm trying to get into Penn state university study for RP and NIH. The waiting list is very long at NIH at the moment. They need to find a cure for RP. Most doctors and people are not even aware what RP or never heard of it. I try to learn as much as I can about this disease and bring awareness to others. This week is rare disease day. This very interesting someone from RP shared this video with us yesterday https://www.hcplive.com/view/joseph-ahearn-michael-linn-partnership-rare-disease. I hope they do the study soon. I am also trying to get into that one. The first case of RP was found in 1926, they still haven't found a cure. There isn't a medicine for RP. There is only a hand full of people with RP. Somebody has to find a cure for this horrible disease. Sorry for venting!

I have a dental appointment today. BBL

Since my nerve pain had not gone away in my left leg, I went to my other Chiro who does non force adjustments and had her evaluate my situation. To my surprise, I found out what is causing the nerve pain and spasms. First, I went on the Bemer, which flushes blood into the cells and all around the body, it is an amazing thing, the Government hates this device because it can cure Cancer and so much more. Then I had an adjustment, and I had a couple things out, my SI joint and two vertebrae. Then, she muscle tested me, she checked every organ ect and what did she find? My body was dying to tell her, my body is done with this pain. We found that my Para Thyroid was shutting down. What the Para Thyroid does is helps the body uptake Calcium into the blood stream. I know I have that issue, so I always take Calcium with minerals, Vit D and Vit K2, otherwise I might as well flush my Calcium down the toilet. My doctor Cool Lasered the Para Thyroid on each side of my neck and it instantly rejuvenated it. The pain in my body just started to go away as well as the back spasm. I am going to be taking a Glandular product for the next month to get this situation under control. Today I woke up feeling like a totally different person. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for helping me with this painful issue. Since I was adjusted yesterday I will not workout today, I will just take a long leisurely walk a couple times today with my dog. If you cannot find the underlying condition you will continue to have the same problems over and over again. No medical doctor would have figured this issue out, they just put you on pain pills or give you Cortisone shots to get rid of the pain, not fix the problem.

Debbie, I am glad you knee is feeling better. I swear, stretching at your age is probably what we need every few days to help lengthen the muscles after lifting. My sons football team always had a yoga class after practice to avoid pain and injury from heavy lifting, I think I will make it a priority in the future.

Doreen, nice job on the workout today.

Roxie, enjoy getting your hair done.

Belinda, I am glad you can still workout while having your body issues, I wish I could, but I will not push it this time.

Diane Sue, I hope you are feeling better each day.

BBL to read the posts for the day.
