Debbie,
great job on the your workout today! Is that Build and Burn workout a Kelly workout? I don't think I have that workout or have ever seen it. It looks like a killer!

I hope you all have great workouts today, I will be back later to see what you all did today!

Happy Monday! ;)

This morning I did Amy Bento Rumble stopping at the heavy bag, 44 minutes, 283 calories, heart rate average 125, max 165, met 5.8, 3,474 steps. I then did Kelly Coffey Muscle Up legs and arms workout #2, 35 minutes, 154 calories, met 4.0, heart rate average 103, max 142, 467 steps. Total time 79 minutes, 437 calories.

Debbie, nice workout today. I love that Build and Burn upper workout. I usually use 10# on the finishers The Body Design upper was a nice add on. Nice that you got in a walk and plenty of steps this morning. I like how Kelly comes up with some different moves.

Jolie, great looking workout and nice calorie burn today.

Roselyn, nice work getting in the Cathe Live workout today.

Today I did Treadmill Coach Volume 1 again. Love this one. Did pretty well with it, I think better than last time. Trying to improve on my endurance running and doing it up hills. These workouts are constant running and that is still hard for me. But I am improving and doing much better with the endurance.

Workout was 57 minutes, ran 4.18 miles, burned 474 calories (TM said 604, not sure why so much discrepancy there), and did 8362 steps. HR was 139/191.

I also did Yoga Focus Stretch. Love doing this after these runs. It really helps stretch out all my muscles. I love this stretch workout.

There is a really loud bird outside, LOL! It's driving me crazy. And I can't believe I am saying this, but I am FREEZING. It was 52 degrees out when I got up this morning. WTF? It's the end of June! Of course by the weekend it will be 95 with a heat index of 105. Crazy weather!!

Jolie - Yes, Build and Burn is by Kelly. It's a set of 4 DVD's I think, and it has some really good workouts on it. I'm not sure I commented on what you said about not liking Kelly as an instructor - I felt the same way when I started doing her workouts. But she has grown on me and I really like her a lot. She is funny sometimes and is just a fun instructor I think. She's not Cathe, but no one is Cathe, you know?

Diane Sue - Muscle Up is a fun workout, nice going with that and Amy's workout. I like her, I have a couple of her old kickboxing workouts, I should do them again. I remember really liking them. I should have went a bit heavier with the finishers on that workout yesterday. Especially the Run Rows, she only uses one dumbbell for that, it felt weird.

Roselyn - Great job with your workout! I should try some of Cathe's live workouts - I see you can get 7 days for free. I might do that.

DOZ - Where you be?

Today I did Ice Low Impact Sweat workout #2 step with the blizzard blast, 38 minutes, heart rate average 133, max 165, met 5.9, 247 calories, 2,885 steps. I then did Fit Split Bonus abs, 13 minutes, heart rate average 104, max 144, 210 steps, met 4.5, 65 calories. I finished off with Youtube Sarah Beth yoga 20 minute vinyasa flow, 20 minutes, 46 calories. I also did some work with my yoga tune up balls. Total time was 71 minutes, 348 calories.
Debbie, I never can get the discrepancies with fitness equipment. Sometimes I think the reads on things like the tread mill and treadclimber is partial done by how fast the belt is turning. You still burn caloires if it is running and you are standing beside it. I wouldn't let it bother me too much. Is Yoga Focus stretch a dvd? I find that most stretches are pretty much the same as yoga, but not so much a flow from one thing to another. Kelly cracked me up in her Athletic Conditioning 1 stretch when she said they were not doing yoga so she would call the down dog a mountain peak :) Amy has some fun kickboxing stuff. Body Boxing Bootcamp is fun with kickboxing and some cardio weighted stuff in between with premixes. I remember you had Rumble and Kickbox Surge. I like that she has premixes on these for shorter workouts.

Today I got up early and went for a 6 mile walk and ended with a Triceps workout. Workout was 2 hours and 15 minutes. Average heart rate was 132 and max was 184. I burned 1002 calories!!!!! I feel really good and tired. I have been stressed out again so walking really helps alleviate my stress.

Debbie, nice job on the Cardio Coach today! You are killing it with your runs lately! I bet your legs look incredible!
I think I might give Kelly a try again, I do love the weight work in her Shape Up workout. It is Tabata Style lifting and it is a great add on to the end of any workout.

Diane Sue, Way to go in getting some yoga in today! I am so tight feeling I really need to do more stretching each day of some sort. Also, that ab workout is a good one. I have been doing abs at least 2 to 3 times a week and my lower back is doing better!

Roselyn, I love Cathe Live Pumped Upper Body, I always get a good calorie burn with that workout!

DOZ, I hope your new job is going good for you!

Have a nice day!

Jolie, I generally do abs several times a week. I think the low back and hip thing I had on one side was from a twisted move in Tracey Long's workout that I did awhile back. It seems to be fine now. Still gets a bit uncomfortable in certain chairs and seating positions. I like the Fit Split bonus abs because the moves are tough, but does not seem to stress my neck. It does hit the shoulders and arms quite a bit. I really do think that Kelly Coffey has improved on her workout style and she is really in great shape. Build and Burn is a good program. Meltdown is tough and I like the heavy bag workout. A lot of her later workouts are timed workouts. I have always liked her workouts. I just think they have become better with lots of different styles and some different ways of doing certain moves. You do some pretty long walks. I walk outside for 30 minutes and I am ready to go home :) Generally that is walking with my dog. I took her back through the woodsy area one day and ran back to see how she would do with running. She did cross in front of me a couple of times, but did well. I just don't care for going walking. I have heard to many mishaps around here with loose dogs attacking and killing people and their dogs. We have a lot of regular walkers here since we have the walking areas and the park with walking paths at the one end of the neighborhood. Lots of cyclists, walkers, and runners.

Good Evening All:cool:

Jolie- Nice workout

Debbie - I’m still here :) been adjusting that’s it.

Diane Sue - Nice workout, awesome that you work abs 7 days

Today I did Kelly's RAW Kickboxing Contour - one I did last week but didn't do it all. Had fun with it, it is a great workout. It mixes Kickboxing combos for upper and lower body and then does some heavy weight work. It is fun!! Probably my favorite thus far.

Workout was 46 minutes, burned 317 calories and went 2938 steps.

Diane Sue - Yes, Yoga Focus is a DVD from Karen Voight. It's old and I'm not sure you can even find it anymore. It has a Yoga Strength workout on it and Yoga Stretch workout. Both are great workouts.

DOZ - I forgot you start work this week, hope you are doing ok with it. I know it's a big change. Nice job with your workout.

Jolie - Holy smokes, nice job with your workout!!

Roselyn - Hope you enjoyed your rest day. Can't help you with BB.

This morning I did Fit Split Just Low Impact Cardio Mix, 29 minutes, heart rate average 118, max 160, met 5.8. 188 calories, 1,739 steps. I have to go get my labs done this morning for Monday's doctor appointment. I may come back and do some yoga or something , but house cleaning needs done. Things have been busy.

Doz, I am sure that you will get your schedule adjusted soon :)

Debbie, nice workout today and great that it was fun :) I have a lot of older yoga workouts I should pull out. I used to have some Karen Voight workouts that I liked on VHS. I don't remember her doing yoga, but then I didn't really start doing it till I got P90X.

Today is a rest day for me. I have sooooo much to do around the house and errands to run. I got new running shoes yesterday so I am excited about that! I walk so much I really wear out my sole quickly and they break down as well. I have switched to New Balance and love them. They last so much longer than the Brooks I used to wear. Shoes are so expensive now days!!!!

Debbie, good job with the Raw kickboxing workout and I am glad it is your favorite so far!

Roselyn, I am thinking about the On Demand with Body Beach as well but I have never heard of what anyone thinks about it so I never go ahead with it. I bet we could find peoples opinions on YouTube.

Diane Sue, Good luck with your lab work today. I might stretch this afternoon myself!

DOZ, I am proud of you that you are still getting in your workouts with your new schedule.

Have a nice day.

Jolie there is a group on FB that love bb there is a new program called lift4 only on demand I may try let me know if you hear anything abouyBB

Today was 45 hiit and abs

Jolie, I used to have a particular New Balance shoe that I repurchased a lot. Then I got a pair that I did not like and moved on. Right now my favorites are the Reebok Crossfit Nano. Any of my shoes I add orthotics to. What they put in those shoes is always so thin. You do do a lot of walking. You put a lot of miles on your shoes :) I ended up cleaning and clearing out some junk lying around, then decided to mow the lawn and feed the roses along with walkway clean up from the storms. My husband came home just as I was finishing and informed me it was hot out there! Really :) I was pouring sweat and had to shower. It took awhile to get cooled down even after the shower. Right now at 7:30 in the evening it is 94. It just really needed done and I don't see a cool day coming up.

Roselyn, good job on the workout today .

Today I decided to do Cardio Coach 6 with Candace. I was on the fence about running today because me and my cousins went to Amish County yesterday (not really Amish anymore, it's sad) and I ate a lot of bad stuff and paid for it this morning with a horrible headache. I hate eating out of my normal routine. But I took some Ibuprofin and felt better by the time I started the workout. Had a great workout to boot!!

Workout was 54 minutes, ran 3.8 miles (personal best with this workout), burned 439 calories (TM said 534) and went 7693 steps. HR was 137/186.

Getting hot here. It will be in the upper 90s this weekend with a heat index of 105 at times. Now that's summer!!! :)

Diane Sue - I'm really liking Kelly's RAW workouts. She's putting two new ones out there by the weekend, I'm hoping they will be on there by tomorrow morning. Not sure what they are yet. I'd like to try Cathe Live but her workouts are always so long. That is another reason I like Kelly so much, these 30 minute workouts are perfect for me. I'm not looking to build anymore, I'm looking to stay healthy and look a bit cut. These workouts and my running are doing that. Nice job on your workout yesterday and it sounds like you did a lot of work around your house. Yikes!!! Hope your lab work went well.

Jolie - My favorite shoes are Saucony's - love them. I won't buy another kind of shoe. I've tried NB and others and just don't care for how they feel on my feet. I remember I tried them out because Cathe used to wear them in her earlier workouts. LOL!

DOZ - Hope you find time to check in soon, we don't want to lose you again! Hope all is going well with you.

Roselyn - Great job with your workout!!! Are you still a BB coach?

Today I did Kelly Coffey Step Box step box and sculpt both workouts mix. This eliminates the drills and the strength drills. 58 minutes, heart rate average 129, max 161, 373 calories, 5,426 steps. I think that one with calories came to a met 5.8. I then did Muscle Up Back and Chest premix, 21 minutes, 93 calories met 4.0, heart rate average 104, max 133. I finished off with Sarah Beth Yoga You Tube Hot Sweaty Power yoga and the Cooldown legs and hips, 25 minutes, 63 calories.. 529 calories 1 hour 44 minutes.
Weights
Muscle Up 8 reps each exercise supersets ( am pretty sure I did more than 8 reps on some of these and may have been moving too quickly)

Rows 30# dbs superset with bench press 17.5# dbs 3 sets

lawn mowers 30# db superset with flys 15# dbs 3 sets

Pullovers 30# db, 25# db superset with push ups bodyweight 2 sets

Debbie, I am liking the shorter workouts too. I never thought that I would say that :) I can add or just do a quick workout. Just keeping my health mobility, and some strength is more my focus as I get older. I always feel lousy after eating poorly. My children used to love to go to their great grandparents in Missouri and visit the Amish country. I know they are much more modernized n ow. Not quite the same. . I am glad that you are loving Kelly Raw. It is making me look forward to getting it. I saw that she has new workouts coming this weekend. I am looking forward to the new weight one and step boxing dvds she just filmed.

Today I walked 6.5 miles, in my new shoes, and burned 878 calories, 2 hours, average heart rate average 152 and max was 181. What a difference new shoes make!!! My feet are happy. My son is driving home today for a long weekend, so I am sooooo excited! He called me yesterday and said he gets to leave after noon today so he will get home around 10pm. tonight. I tried to get him a flight but it was $700 because of the short notice. So, he is driving 9 hours instead!

Debbie,
I have to try Saucony again. I used to wear them but the sole got too flexible for my broken foot. I need a super stiff sole so my Big toe doesn't bend too much. I am glad you had a good workout today even though you weren't feeling well. I hate when I eat bad too, which seems to be more often than not, I always feel yuck afterwards.

Diane Sue, boy it is hot there already! High of 82 degrees here today, not too bad for me yet. Nice workout today and that is a good calorie burn too! My walking is paying off, I am slimming down and my legs look leaner. That is my big problem so adding the walking really makes me look better and I can deal with stress better and I sleep better. If I do HIIT workouts I don't sleep well, my nervous system never seems to calm down enough to sleep.

Roselyn, I saw that lifting workout too on BB and I am wondering if it will be too easy? We are so used to working out hard that some workouts are too much for beginners. I will let you know what I find out

Debbie , how do you stream Kellys workouts? With HDMI and computer? I saw she is having a special the rest od summer at 6.99 a month.

Jolie that is great that your son is coming home for the weekend :) That is great that the walking helps you sleep better. You really get your heartrate up on those hills. I wouldnt think it would make that much difference other than time spent.
