Good morning,

Got my workout in early today. Sadie kept me up last night, she got sick. She seem ok now.

I did Lower Body Stength: Tri-Sets Leg Workout // Day 22 HR12WEEK 2.0. Great workout. I will post my workout shortly.

This morning I did KCM Boxfit that is a DVD workout but on her channel. What a fun workout. My left knee is still bugging me so I didn't do the high impact stuff. I'm thinking I twisted my knee wrong sometime last week, not sure how or when but that's what it feels like. It's not swelling anymore at least.

Fun boxing workout, she is so different in her actual workout videos than she is in RAW. Just very professional.

Workout was 34 minutes, burned 279 calories, did 4353 steps and HR was 145/171.

Jolie - I'm not sure if I thanked you for the supplement advice I asked you for with broken blood vessels. Thank you, I will try them.

I had kinda a good/lousy workout this morning. I started with and IFit strenght - Lower body for 22 minutes. Just straightforward DL, squat, lunges, side lunges. That was good - nothing fancy. Then I tried to pick another to add-on and the instructor ended up talking for 5 mintues in the warmup while just standing there! What!? Talk while you are working!! I doubt I'll return to her strength series if she just yammers that much!! I ended up picking another strenght workout and did one circuit of it but it was just bodyweight. So then went I am down on the floor the dog attacks me to play and that was the end of that!
 
Here is what I did today. It was tri sets/40s work + 20s rest x2 rounds.

Debbie - great job on your workout this morning. Glad you are taking it easy with your knees. I twisted my knee a few weeks ago. I am getting old.

Dorreen - I like Heather for that reason, she doesn't talk during the workout. Once I am on the floor or on lay on my rebounder, Sadie jumps on me. She wants to play..
 
I posted on the wrong thread, I posted on lasts months thread by mistake. Today I have a rest day, I am having my entire house cleaned and I could not be happier. I have a whole crew doing it, I can't wait to have a totally spotless house for once!

Debbie, great workout today. You can ask me anything you want about supplements. If I do not know the answer, I will as my dad or husband. We all worked together at the company, so we are all pretty knowledgeable.

Belinda, great job on the workout. I have to try some of those workouts down the line. I hope Sadie is feeling better this morning.

Doreen, sorry about the workout this morning! I love Caroline Girvan's Endgame workouts, try some of those, I think you will like them.

Roselyn, way to go on the Endgame workout yesterday.

Oh wow, I almost posted on the wrong month too. Can't believe its February already. One month closer to Spring. So far a mild winter. I hope we don't get nailed with snow this month. The days are getting longer and it was in the 40's today. Took a walk at lunch with a buddy. Tomorrow it's back in the teens. Bummer.

Tonight I did Tracy Steen 45 min. Brutal Complexes. I made it a little less brutal by changing some of the complexes. Overall, pretty decent, but I am thinking I am not much of complex weightlifter. I like upper body more simple. It was a nice change and I am feeling it. The cardio sets were tough.

Debbie, hope your knee feels better. Did you ice it? That might help. Icing in the winter is not enjoyable, though.

Jolie, hope you are enjoying your clean house.

Doreen, good lousy workout. That made me chuckle. I rarely do a workout without previewing for that reason. I get that when you are tight on time you take a gamble.

Belinda, the Heather workout you did is on my radar.

I may take out the Boss Bands workout tomorrow. I have only done that once, so maybe I should try it again.
 
Today I did RAW Strength Day 2 - Chest & Triceps. I had a great workout and went fairly heavy. I am really sore from Monday which is cool. Kelly does these workouts in a very slow and controlled manner with rest. Sometimes a bit too much rest. But it works the muscles really well for only doing two exercises.

5 sets of each exercise:

Chest
Incline Dumbbell Flies:
15's - 5 sets/10 reps
Flat Dumbbell Press: 25's - 5 sets/8 reps

Triceps
Single Arm Kickbacks:
10# - 5 sets/10 reps
Seated Overhead Single Arm Extensions: 20# - 5 sets/10 reps (I did double arm overhead ext.)

Ab work on the bench - 5 sets/10 reps each exercise

Workout was 41 minutes, burned 316 calories (last time my FB said I burned 69 calories - holy cow!) and HR was 140/170. Love my Garmin!

Doreen - LOL on your workout yesterday, glad part of it was good!

Belinda - Great leg workout yesterday, those look really good but for some reason I get bored with them. I will do one here and there just to change it up but I can't seem to follow a rotation anymore to save my life. Are you still eating vegan? I have been trying a lot of new recipes by some of the people I follow on Youtube and wow, some really good stuff out there!!

Jolie - Wish I could have someone come to my house and clean it. I could probably afford it one time, but I'm not sure I want someone messing with all my stuff. LOL!!!

Cam - We are supposed to be getting a very bad snow storm tomorrow, in fact, half of the middle part of the country is supposed to get it. I already have been told I can work from home tomorrow and Friday which I plan on doing. Yay!! Yes, I've been icing my knee, it does help. It is almost back to normal, I just feel a little pinch on the inside soft part of the knee. Hopefully that will go away soon.

Diane - Now I am getting worried about you. I wish someone would post for you if you can't do it just to let us know you're ok. Prayers and hugs.

Roselyn - How are you feeling? Is your Covid about gone?

Those of you in the snow storm, stay safe. We are getting it tomorrow and into Friday. I plan on staying home and working from there. Crazy winter so far!!!
 
I did a 30 minute ride in Olympic plaza Whistler CA this morning on the bike and then 25 minutes of snow shoveling. We got about 5-6 inches. Its supposed to snow the rest of the day but I don't know how much more accumulation.

Today is a rest day scheduled on the rotation. I did went for a nice walk outside.

Diane - you haven't checked in a long time. I am also getting worried. I hope all is well.

Debbie - the exercises are similar to last week leg workout. I hear you on getting bored. I do like her upper body workout. I will finish the rotation. I probably will go back to CL. I am starting to miss her workouts.

Did any of you girls order any new Cathe exercise equipments? I ordered a bunch of stuff :) It's suppose to get delivered today. Looking forward to the micro cloves and weight lifting cloves.

Today I did Boss Bands Total Body and XTrain Low Impact Floor Cardio. This the 2nd time with Boss Bands TB. Not real jazzed about it. You get a little sweat going and then it slows down. It is hard for me to get bands right because I am 5'8 and shoulder and tricep work is hard so I use regular bands. I have different bands than Cathe, but they're ok. Now I see she has bands for taller people. I just don't use them enough to justify buying more. All that being said, I like the legs and glute band workout and will probably do that tomorrow.

Belinda, I did peruse her equipment. Lots of good stuff. I think I am good with equipment for now but I say that and then I end up buying something.

Debbie & Doreen,, the snow is missing us. We have lucked out so far this winter. We only have gotten a few inches. However, its really cold and windy.

I did a IFIT strength workout by Gideon Akande this morning - Chest and Hamstrings - it had a lot of potential but the rests were too long and the form explainations too long. Good grief people - talk while you work! I added a lot more reps and even some extra exercises in his explainations so I felt good about my workout but still.....

Good job everyone with your workout! Cam - I love Xtrain LI - haven't done it in a while but one of the favs. I wasn't really excited about the Boss Band workouts - I should try again for a 2nd opinion.

Belinda - I would love to get the micro load gloves - we'll see.

Debbie - Good job on your RAW workouts - those look good.

Jolie - ok - jealous on having someone clean your house! I could use that but we need to clear the clutter first - I just never seem to have the time! Traveling every other weekend for Volleyball right now!
 
Well, I am home for the day and doing work for about a half day. Snowing like crazy here and all our schools are closed. So yay for being able to stay home!!!

So since I had extra time, I did a mish mosh of shoulder work plus some boxing. Had a great workout and it was really fun!!

I started with RAW Strength Day 3 - Shoulders and Legs but only did shoulders. My knee is hurting again, I went down the stairs yesterday and while it was bending to go down to the next step, something moved and it really started to hurt. I iced it again and it's not too bad today. I swear, if it isn't one thing it's another.

5 sets/10 reps

Lateral Raise: 10's
Butterfly/Overhead Press: 10's/2 sets - 8's/3 sets (killer)

From RAW 4 Day Split Day 4 - Shoulders and Legs but only did shoulders:

1 minute each exercise repeating the circuit once

Shoulder Press: 10's
Lateral Raise: 8's
Front Raise: 8's
Bent over Lateral Raise: 10's (30 seconds)
Repeat

Then I did RAW 4DS Boxing Finisher which is 14 minutes and used my 2# dumbbells. Shoulders were burning!

Entire workout was 47 minutes, burned 379 calories (WOW!!!), HR was 145/176 and I did 2432 steps.

I received a PM from Diane and she said she is doing ok but still in quite a bit of pain. She is going to the PT today (I think) and hopefully he will let her get rid of the sling. She said nights are the worst and can't sleep very well. Other than that, she is doing good. I was so glad to hear from her!

Doreen - LOL on those workouts and all the talking. I hate that. I don't mind it while I'm working out and they are giving pointers, but I don't want to hear their life stories. That would be frustrating. Yes, the RAW workouts are awesome. It took me some time to like Kelly and crew, but I think I like them as much as I've liked Cathe and crew.

Cam - You are lucky the storm missed you, what state do you live in if you don't mind saying? I'm in Ohio, we are getting buried right now. Yikes. And it's suppose to last all day. Glad I get to stay home!

Belinda - I start missing my favorite instructor workouts as well. I guess we are used to them and know what to expect. But it is nice to change it up every now and again.

I forgot to check in yesterday, I had a really busy day. I did Les Mills, Combat 30 and I used 1# weighted gloves, workout was 31 minutes and I burned 322 calories. Today I did Caroline Girvan's Epic 3 Workout Day 48 Upper Body Workout with DB's and had a fantastic workout. I did not use my FB, but I wish I had, I was really working for each rep. I will start wearing it again during lifting workouts, I stopped so I would focus on form and not calorie burns but I want to know how hard I am working during these workouts. This was a non-stop workout, 4 exercises in a row for 30 seconds with no rest in between sets and then a 1-minute rest and do it all over again. I went heavy this time and it felt amazing. Well, at least heavier than normal.

This whole Russia thing is really picking up steam here at the Marine base. Helicopters are flying everywhere, and they have not stopped bombing for days. My windows are shaking and it is so far away. After the Afghanistan debacle, the marines are on high alert. I hope our dumb ass President doesn't get us into a nuclear war, and I hope they don't draft men because my boys are of the age, and I would be so pissed if this happens. Right now, Black Hawks are flying over my house as I type this post.

My house was cleaned so well, 3 ladies came in and worked for 6 hours. I love it, I think I will do this once a quarter so I will not throw out my back anymore doing all of this had work. I have very little clutter anymore, moving 2 times in 2 years really made me downsize the stuff I do not need. Anyway, it is amazing how a very clean house cleans the mind!

Debbie, great job on the workout today and having a snow day today! I am glad that Diane checked in with you, thanks for sharing with us. I wish she would check in even though she isn't working out, we could keep her spirits high! Sorry to hear about your knee, that is the pits. I have found out that my knee and leg go out due to the way I sleep. I am working on trying to change to a different position but that is a tough thing to do.

Doreen, nice job on the workout. I see that CO is getting quite a bit of snow. Also, I see they are dropping the Covid mandates, you are so lucky!

I forgot to tell you all, I ordered a pair of Cathe's weight lifting gloves in pink, they look so nice. I ordered a medium, I hope they aren't too big on me. The ones I have now are like 2 years old and have no padding. These new ones should help with me breaking blood vessels all the time. I also ordered a medium strength band. Can't wait to get them!!

Today I did Boss Loops Glutes & Core. Followed up with XTrain Low Impact Step & Discs. My butt is good and fried, especially after the cardio. I really like this Boss workout much better than the other. The core work with the band really amped up the burn.

Doreen, this was my 2nd time with XTrain LI and I didn't really like it at first, but this time I really liked it. I think it was too soon after my surgery when I first did it, but it goes quick and some fun moves. Sorry you didn't like your instructor today.

Debbie, glad you heard from Diane. She sounds like she is uncomfortable. I hope she sees some progress soon. I live in Wisconsin. The snow missed us today, but it is cold! Hope your knee gets better. I would give it a week. That used to happen to me when I lived in Arizona and would hike. I would twist my knee and it would swell up. Be careful.

Belinda, hope you like your new toys. I love getting fitness toys. Good Heather workout today.

Roselyn, hope you get your scents back soon. That's gotta be awful.

No workout for me today, it is supposed to be a cardio day but don't want to push it with my knee. I'll rest today and the weekend and hopefully by Monday I will be better. Hope you all have a great weekend!!! I get to work from home today, we are buried!!

Debbie - I bought everything in the picture including the bands. I find the bands that came with the dvd's are too short for overhead presses. I did buy the hip truster in black. I had a gift certificate I needed to use. That's my excuse.I am a nut :) Great job this morning.

Cam - I do like Band boss workouts. I need to pull them out soon. Great job!
