Good morning,

I am up early to get my workout in. I did a stretch and if I have time I will do a weight workout? Today is our 41 anniversary. Not sure what DH has planned.

I will be back later to catch up on personals! Have a great day and workout everyone,

Belinda, Happy Anniversary! Wow, 41 years is amazing!

The past few days I have been only walking for my workouts, my sons friends have been sleeping in the room that I use for my gym room. He goes home this evening so I am hoping tomorrow I can hit the weights again. Saturday I walked 3.2 miles and this morning I walked 3.6 miles. I have lost so much muscle over the past 6 months but I am still strong. I am thin and need to get some definition back before the summer. The weather is so beautiful right now, 70 degrees and dry. I laid in the sun in shorts and a tank top yesterday while I read and got a fantastic tan! Next weekend it will be close to 80 degrees. This is common for Southern CA, when we get towards Christmas, it usually gets warm and dry and then we get cold damp weather for the next 5 months :(

Roselyn, great job with the shoulder workout today.

I hope you all have a great Sunday.

Today is a rest day. I just did Ana Pilates Flourish Day 27 restorative yoga to relieve tension. I have been using the MyNetDiary App and have a plan to gain 10 lbs. They sent me my week evaluation and since I did not make the goal they raised my calories to 2025. I am having a hard time getting much past 1700 and have a hard time getting lots of protein and keeping the fat grams down. I made a big salad recipe with salmon, avocado, sweet potato cubes roasted and spring greens for dinner. I end up at night searching for something to add an extra 500 calories. I never had this problem before. Maybe because when I had grandchildren around all of the time and baked I found myself eating a lot more. I guess I will figure it out eventually. I look at meal plans on the apps and they all are generally for weight loss.

Belinda, happy anniversary. I hope that you and your husband had a nice day.

Roselyn, I hope you got in a good workout today.

Jolie, nice job on getting in the walks. It is cold here. My husband and I had planned on taking our new bikes to a park area with bike and walking paths and have not been able to do it because of the cold temperatures. It sounds like you had a nice time in the sun.

I didn't post on Friday, but I did workout. I did RAW Step Boxing and RAW Athletic Stretch. My hips and IT band on my left side are so tight they actually hurt. The stretch helped a lot.

Step Boxing workout was 31 minutes, burned 236 calories, did 3034 steps and HR was 130/151.

This morning I did RAW Box & Pump 8 and I had an excellent workout.

45 seconds on/15 off

Boxing
Elevated Deadlifts: 20's
Alternate Hammer Curls: 15's
Repeat

Boxing
Heel Elevated Goblet Squat: 25#
Aaron Press: 10's
Repeat

Boxing
Glute Squats: 25#
Overhead Triceps Extension: 20#
Repeat

Boxing
Run Rows: 15's
Overhead dumbbell hold with Knee Lifts: 15# (I just held the weight in front of me and did the knee lift/oblique twist)
Repeat

Workout was 41 minutes, burned 307 calories, did 1957 steps and HR was 132/163.

I am getting a cold, my nose is plugged and it started happening when I got to work. Weird.

No time for personals. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Mine was really nice. My mom's turkey was perfect, OMG, it was so good. I can't believe she can still cook so good being almost blind and 87 years old. Incredible!!

Have a great day!!!

Today I had an excellent workout, finally!!! I had my boys bring in my Max Trainer into my house where I have set up my gym and I used it today, the first time in a long time and boy are my legs feeling it. Today I did CL Vertical Loading #2 and used the max trainer where she does the leg portions of the workout. I had it on manual mode and put the resistance to level 5 and went as long as she did with the weight exercises for legs. Total max trainer time was 10 minutes and my quads are screaming, in a good way. I will be feeling this workout tomorrow for sure.

Debbie, great job with the workout on Friday and today. I did not eat on Thanksgiving except for a salad and my butter cake. I love that damn cake; it is so delicious.

Daine Sue, I need to gain some weight myself, I am down to 138 and I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. I like the way I look but my body does not like being at this weight. I would never lower my fat intake; it is essential for the brain, so you do not get Dementia. It is going to be warm here again today, I am in short and a tank top working out with the windows wide open. Back east looks like a mess, so much snow has fallen in a short amount of time.

I hope you all have great workouts today.

Good morning,

Thank you for all the anniversary wishes. We had a very nice day. Couldn‘t do much in the cold.

Sorry for not checking in yesterday. It was a crazy busy day yesterday. The infusion went well. I had to see the anesthesiologist late in the afternoon. Took longer than I expected. We didn‘t get home until 7 pm. Took a shower and went to bed early.

I am trying to get a workout in before we heading out.

Great job everyone on your workouts. BBl

This morning I did RAW Strength Day 2 - Chest & Triceps. Had a great workout and I added a couple of other chest exercises. These workouts are ok but sort of boring because she does only 2 exercises for 5 reps. Totally different from STS 2, that's for sure! I still like them for a change.

5 sets, each exercise done straight through for 5 sets

Incline Flyes: 17.5's - 10 reps
Chest Press: 25's - 8 reps (this was easy, I probably should have used 30's but was afraid my shoulders would not like it)
Added:
Low to Hi Band Flyes: 15# Band/12 reps
Mid Band Chest Flyes: 30# Band/12 reps

Single Arm Kickbacks: 10's - 10 reps (this took forever)
Overhead Single Arm Extensions: 10# - 10 reps (this took forever too)

Abs: Lying Oblique Twists for 2 sets/Lower and Upper Crunch for 3 sets

Workout was 43 minutes, burned 226 calories and HR was 110/147.

Belinda - Congrats on 41 years! Wow, that is totally amazing!! You don't see that too often anymore.

Roselyn - Congrats on your grand baby!! How awesome! And I'm glad your DH surprised you with a birthday party! :)

Jolie - Don't fret. You will gain definition again. I am in the process of losing about 8# and it is HARD. I have definition everywhere but my abs and hips. That is where all the fat is lying right now. I hate it. I know that happens at menopause, but I look at Kelly in her RAW videos and her abs are so flat. I am aiming for that. It sucks aging, but I think we are all doing incredibly well! Great job on your workouts!! It was 17 degrees here in Ohio today. The east side of us got over 40" of snow. Unheard of this time of year. Poor people!!

Diane - Maybe you should add in a protein drink or two during the day? That helps raise calories and protein intake. I have a hard time eating high protein as well. I almost have to rely on my protein drinks to get it all in.

Well, I got to get to work. Hope you all have a great day!!

Things have been busy. Yesterday I did CDorner Arms, biceps and triceps, 22 minutes, 82 calories. I wrote the moves down, but do not know where the paper went. I followed that with Ana Pilates, flourish yoga flow day 4 15 minutes, 24 calories. I did the back pod and some foam roller and band posture work with Ana and her daughter. The first part of that video I just watched while lying on the back pod. She did some interesting stuff with the band tied in a loop for strengthening the neck then wrapped the band across the back under the arms and lying on the foam roller used the band to strengthen the back and posture muscles.
I finally got my Lift, Move, and Restore workouts after my cardio today. I did CDorner Step #436 "energizing" 46 minutes, 237 calories, heart rate 132/165, 4,401 steps. The music and moves were fun. Then I did Lift, Move, and Restore Anytime Mobility bonus17 minutes, & bonus upper body foam rolling 15 minutes (a bit of work near the end with push ups and triceps push ups and dips with the roller). Made my ribs a bit sore this evening. Time for both of LMR workouts was 32 minutes, 52 calories. I did the back pod work and viewed some of the barre workout. Total time was 78 minutes, 291 calories.

Jolie, great job on the CL Vertical Loading 2 and Max Trainer intervals. I can't imagine shorts and a tank top right now. I am sitting here in a sweater with the fireplace going. I was looking at meal plans on the nutrition program and there is no way I would throw out the egg yolks. That is like throwing out all of the nutrients. I use some brain octane oil in my coffee with collagen in the mornings. I just make sure I use healthy fats.

Belinda, I am glad the infusion went well. The cold kind of kills doing much. We would like to take our bikes to the park that has trails since we got the rack for the truck, but it is too cold to go riding.

Debbie, nice work on Raw Strength 2 Chest and Triceps today and the abs today. I use protein bars and protein powder. I tried purchasing those Owyn protein shakes and after 8 bottles, I just not stand the taste anymore. I really do not like pea protein and I have not found a decent bottled whey protein. I do not handle most diet sweeteners well. Sucralose seems to be put in most things. I use marigold whey as it does not bother my digestion and it has glutamine in it no lactose. I just got some new bars today that has pumpkin seed protein in them. They are yummy and all natural ingredients and some honey as the sweetener. They are Sure Life Paleo Bars.

This morning I did RAW Lower Lift & Kick. I had a great workout, I really worked it hard. I will not be able to walk tomorrow.

Each exercise is 1 minute

Elevated Heel Squats: 25#
R/L Chamber Kicks
Repeat

Glute Squat: 40#
R/L Back Kicks
Repeat

Deadlifts/Squat Ups: 30#
Knee Circle/Twist
Repeat

Alternate Side Lunge: 30#
R/L Side Kick
Repeat

Workout was 42 minutes, burned 278 calories, HR was 113/162.

Roselyn - I hope there isn't any problems with the baby. I prayed for good results, hope all is well!

Diane - I have restricted myself from any and all oils since going vegan, but now I am adding them back in slowly since I'm not strictly vegan anymore. I use avocado oil when I cook and Olive oil for topical things like salads, etc. However, I do not over do it. I think I have to agree with Jolie, we do need oils in our bodies, just the right kinds. I know you know that. For protein drinks, I make my own using Orgain Organic Plant Protein powders. I love the chocolate and vanilla ones. They don't bother my stomach and I think they help me a lot getting my protein in. Those protein bars sound yummy! I may try them. Funny how that new restore workout you did has dips and pushups. To me those are for weight training workouts, not mobility. I would have skipped them. LOL!

Hope you all have great workouts today!!

Hi,

I did JS steady cardio plus SBF Abs.

My surgery got canceled today. The lenses will not arrive on time, he had to special order them. He will do both eyes in January 25. I am coming down with something, I am all stuffed up.

Diane - it‘s freezing cold here. I do miss my daily walks. Winter defiantly arrived. Great job on your workouts. I haven‘t open the new dvds yet.

Debbie - I restricted myself from oils since I went vegan. I also adding a little more oils especially for my salads. I do make sure, I am not overdoing it. I agree with all of you, we need a little oil. Great job on your workouts.

Roselyn - praying for you.

Have a great day and workout.

Today I did Lift, Move, Restore Functional Lower Body, 54 minutes, 145 calories, heart rate 100/152, 1,407 steps. I then did the Functional Restorative Yoga Bonus 23 minutes, 24 calories. This was a relaxed workout using yoga blocks and holding the position once there a bit for 5 breaths. It was nice and felt good. At first I was thinking of stopping and going to something that had me moving. I probably need more of this type of work. Would be good at night. Total time was 77 minutes, 169 calories. I also did my back pod and advanced to no pillow under my head. I stretched a little afterward.
No user guide so I just wrote down the workout.

Debbie, great job on Raw Lift and Kick today. I think I tried the Orgain in a carton. Not mixed up on my own. I would do more shakes if I didn't have to get out the blender to do it. Those push ups and dips, even though I did the push ups on my knees was a mistake as I was woke up with rib pain last night and got up to use a heating pad. I was doing pretty well till I did that. I can't just stop working the area some times.

Belinda, I am sorry that your surgery was cancelled for now. I am sure you were looking forward to having it behind you. Maybe it is good though since you are coming down with a cold.

This morning I did RAW Strength #3 - CardioAcceleration. I really love these workouts and almost forgot about them. I am going to revisit them in the next few weeks. I like that the cardio is something other than boxing. I love boxing, but my upper body doesn't like it every day.

45 seconds on/15 rest - 2 sets of each circuit

Push/Press: 15's
Upright Rows/Scap Squeeze: 15's
Knee Pulls

Gorilla Rows: 20's/25's
One Arm Row/Push Press: 15's (tough)
Jog in place

Goblet Squats w/Band: 20#
Deadlifts: 20's
Split Switch

Bicep Curl/Wide Curl: 15's
Clean from the Hips: 15's
Rope/Jacks

Overhead Triceps Extension: 10's - did two sets
Kickbacks: 8# - only did 1 set
Pendulums - only did 1 set
(my triceps are really sore, I didn't want to do the 2nd time all the way through)

Knee Push-Ups
Wide Bench Press/Pull In: 20's (tough!)
Seated Bicycle

Workout was 47 minutes, burned 300 calories, did 1109 steps and HR was 122/150.

Belinda - Sorry your surgery was cancelled. I didn't know they would do both eyes at the same time, that's odd. But I think I would rather have it done that way. That way you can get the correct prescription for your glasses and not have to wait forever to be able to do that. I hope you are feeling better today. I felt that way on Monday, I was sneezing and couldn't breath. I'm good today, though. Been taking a lot of Vitamin C and D3.

Diane - I agree, sometimes it's a pain to blend up protein drinks. I hate the cleanup. But I do it because I love the drinks and it helps with protein intake. I bought a mini Ninja blender and I love that thing. It blends nicely and fairly easy to clean. Great job on your workout.

Where's Jolie, Roxie and Roselyn?

Have a great day everyone!!!

Sorry I have been MIA, but I have been getting my workouts in anyway. Tuesday I took the pup for a 3 mile walk, boy are my legs sore from the Max Trainer on Monday. Wednesday I had to walk the pup again because my husband had an early work meeting and just could not do it. I walked 3.6 miles. As I was walking and slipped off the curb and rolled my ankle and it is so sore today. I am going to my Chiro tomorrow morning, and she said she would see if it needs an adjustment and will cool laser it to help with the pain and get it to heal faster. Why me!!!??? I was supposed to do Vertical Loading 1 today but I got the worst nights sleep, my foot, ankle and knee kept me up all night and I am so tired today. I actually feel like my whole leg is out of alignment. I will get in a good weight workout this weekend for sure. My goal for the rest of the year is to get in at least 2 weight workouts, total body, 2 times per week and 3 good long walks in with my pup. This has really helped me keep my weight off, getting in those steps. After the holidays when things settle down, I will try to get back to lifting 3 times per week and walking 2 to 3 times per week.

Debbie, you are killing it with the workouts lately. I am so happy that you are not having any issues with your body like some of us! I want to start doing more Kelly workouts at the first of the year and I want to do more kick boxing and cardio. It makes me happy.

Belinda, sorry to hear about your surgery delay, maybe it is for the best since you are not feeling well anyway.

Diane Sue, nice job with the workout yesterday. It will be in the 70's here this weekend, I cannot wait to lay in the sun with a good book and soak up the warmth. If it is not 68 degrees or higher, I am freezing.

Roselyn, what did I miss with the baby and the heartbeat issue? Prayers for your family.

I will try to get on here everyday if possible, times just gets away from me lately. Chiro appointment tomorrow morning so no workout for me. Make it a great day.

Hi,

I did JS single sided TB this morning = 47 min + SBF LB.

Debbie - he will do both eyes 2 weeks apart. Not at the same time. They don‘t do both at the same time incase something happens. Sorry I wasn‘t clear. Both eye‘s will be done in January. Original it would have been a month apart in between surgeries. I don‘t know if I come down with a cold or something? My nose is all stuffed up. Great job on your workout.

Jolie - thank you. I think I am coming down with a cold or something? It‘s probably best to wait. I like your workout plan for the rest of the year.

Diane - I was looking forward getting the surgery done. I think it‘s better to wait until next year. Glad you enjoy the new workouts. I need to try the new yoga one.

Good night.

This morning I got on my treadmill and walked for 1.5 miles. I just didn't feel like doing much else. I also did RAW Stretch, which felt really good.

Treadmill workout was 31 minutes, burned 236 calories, did 3652 steps and HR was 129/156.

Roselyn - How did the baby's heartbeat test turn out? I hope all is well.

Jolie - OUCH! I sure hope your ankle is better today. I can't believe that happened to you. Hopefully your chiro can help.

Great job with your workouts everyone! I am short on time right now. Have a great weekend!
