Yes Deb, yes I did think I might be able to get away with no one noticing the big 4-0!
And Annette, let me assure you, beating you to 40 has been a hollow victory!
But seriously, thank you everyone for the birthday wishes! My day came and went with little "fanfare" but that was kind of nice too because I think I would have died of embarrassment had I been taken out and had some crew of teenagers singing, "happy 40th birthday to you..." My daughter let the baby stay overnight with us on the 14th so my morning began with such delight at 3:10am when my grandson, who is just shy of 6 weeks, rolled to his side and brushed his hand on my face, I was so tickled to be awakened by this little hand and bright eyes looking at me that THAT had to be the best ever birthday present!
And I think I did change my name here to just getnfit since I've come to accept the fact that we'll always be striving to "get more fit" regardless of our age, our body shape, etc. Plus, this could get depressing being getnfit@70!
