Gym Style Chest & Tris

Um, I just have to share this and no one I work with or live with will quite appreciate it like some of you might. . . .

I did STS and pretty much took a month off from lifting after the three month rotation. Just got back into it starting Sunday with Gym Style Back, Shoulders & Bis -- it felt good on Sunday and I felt the after effects yesterday.

This morning I got up at 5 and did Gym Style Chest and Tris -- OW, it hurt so good. After my shower it was a little difficult to put lotion on my arms because they just didn't want to push that far up. . . and now, three hours later as I sit at my desk trying to type my triceps are shaking (and I cannot yet use a pen to write legibly).

Am I complaining? Absolutely not. . . I just keep thinking damn that was a kick a$$ workout this morning! Thank you Cathe! :)

I just experienced this same thing last week! I did all 3 gym styles, expecting them to be a breeze! Afterall, I just finished a 5.5 month rotation of STS. Boy, was I WRONG! They were very challenging, especially legs. I did Maximum Intensity Strength yesterday and I was shaking!
 
I did GS Back, Shoulders and Biceps at 5 this morning and it was tough. This series is one of my favorites. It is such a great workout!
 
I love the gym style series too! I just never get that *bored* or *dread* factor with them. Might I just add Butts & Guts as another fav? I did that one on my rest week for STS because I missed it & OMG!!! I was sore for the rest of the week!! :p
 
The Gym Style series were my first Cathe workouts, and I was immediately hooked! (and sorry I didn't find her sooner...but I've been making up for lost time the last few years :D) They were the first workouts I went to after I finished STS. My favorite, hands down!

I love the Gym Styles too and am doing them again after a month or so break! Just did back yesterday and shoulders and biceps today (I just cannot do all three in one morning :confused:)

Hi Travis. I have Gym Style Bi, Back, and Shoulders today. I did Gym Style legs two days ago and I still have the DOMS. Gym Style is my all time favorite series that Cathe has. By the way how's the puppy?

Do you mind sharing what GS rotation you did? I finished 6 mo of STS a few weeks ago & am still floundering abt what to do next...I ended up really loving meso 3 & want to keep up w/the heavy weights & haven't done GSs in a while.

I was alos considering getting ChaLean Extreme or Insanity, but really want to try to use what I've already got until Power Tower & STS Cardio come out.
 
I just love the fact that Catheletes love to have DOMS ! :D

It is what we work for and are happy to let others know about. Some of us "say" we must be sick, but actually I think it is a great thing to work hard and reap the benefits not only in keeping up our strength, but keeping us healthy and of well mind, body and soul.

(Yes we may think our minds have lost it, but it does take mental focus to weight train, right? Let's just to forget we love the feel of sore muscles and not spread it outside the forums, OK? ;))

Great job on the UB work so far, please let us know if you can walk after GS Legs ! :rolleyes:
