Growing Belly's Check in Week of June 7th

It was super fat on one end, tapered on the finishing end. I thought I'd help your visual experience, Susan. LOL I have no idea why I tell people these things!!!

I almost just peed my pants laughing so hard. I am the queen of TMI, and oddly obsessed with poop. I guess that kids do that to you. I think my son poops every day at 1:45 on the dot. That makes me think, he takes Fiber Gummies every night, to prevent constipation (we have a strong family problem with hemmhorroids, and are worried about him already). Those might help you go, Melanie... Once you get all that poop out, you are going to have a new lease on life. I still remember the first poop after I had my son. It is the only thing that makes me cringe. I can handle 23 hour labor, but pooping, no way. This time, I am charging into the hospital with my Milk of Magnesia in hand.
Hi everyone else! Glad to hear everyone is doing so well. It sounds like we are all getting some workouts in. Yeah!
Dawn- I get the same light headed problem. I try to have nuts or cheese (be careful if you cannot poop with that, though) with my fruit. This weekend, I tossed some walnuts and garlic pepper, italian herbs and a little oil together and baked them at 350 for about 10 minutes. Such a yummy snack adn it has some fat and protein to tide you over. I read some really great articles about healthy pregnancy eating in Fit Prganancy magazine over the weekend. Admittedly, I reach for Jeelly Beans and Skittles a bit much. I was like this with my son. I am normally a low sugar eating person. Also, I try to add a aslice of high fiber bread with some jam or cheese with my snacks... I know how hard it is to pack a day before and anticipate what you might crave the next day! Do you like eggs? I scramble them the night before with veggies and wrap in a high fiber tortilla and snack on them when I am ready to gnaw my arm off! My husband likes them in his packed lunch too! Weight watchers has some mini frittatas that you can whip up that are great too, i need to find my recipe...
I will get to each and everyone in the next few days...
Off to do a little Drill Max, what are the odds I make it without needing a nap or a piece of licorice? hmmm.
:)

Good morning ladies! How is everyone today? Not a whole lot to report except woke up with aches and pains again. DH and I went shopping for fans last night and my back and legs were already sore and achy from walking around. I took a warm bath last night before bed hoping it would help alleviate the soreness today, but nope! :) Ahhh..the joys of pregnancy.

Susan- I agree with you, I plugged my ears/eyes for that whole conversation! ;)

Melanie- Enjoy your bowel movements today!

Melanie - I know just how victorious you feel. I was constipated for about 4 weeks and when it finally cleared up I almost cried with relief.

Christine - I am with you on cheese. I made a baked brie for my husbands birthday party and have been enjoying the leftovers far more than my usually low fat string cheese.

For those concerned about nitrates in their hot dogs, kosher hot dogs are supposed to be much better, and I think they are tastier. Arg! Now I am craving a corn dog. :D
I have a checkup tomorrow and should be getting scheduled for my ultrasound then! I am hoping that I will be able to get in before father's day so that I can announce if we are having a boy or girl when we see our parents.
Hello to all my pregnant Cathe friends!

Morning!
Jen-sorry for the aches. I am sore from my workout yesterday so I didnt sleep very well..but ok. My hip has not hurt in a few nights now. Wonder why it comes and goes like that. When you have your baby poop conversations will go to a new level!!
Around my house we are not modest at all and it seems like everyone has to announce when they need to poop.....not that I want specific details though..lol

Cee-HI!Can't wait to hear about your check up. Youre about 17 weeks now? You are due a month after me! There will be lots of fall/winter babes around here. They served corndogs at vbs last night...oh they smelled soo good!

Melanie-you must be working today. Hope your day goes well.
Hi Dawn, Christine, Pricialla, Wendy, Allison!!

I walked 5 miles this morning. Haley's friend in coming over to swim and then we have vbs..that should keep us busy today.
I just ate probably 20 sweet pickles.(the chips, not big ones)......just cant get enough of them!
bbl to check on everyone!

Well, I have been missing in action lately. I went to the Dr. yesterday and I haven't put on any weight in 3 weeks which is great considering that I have put on 8-9 pounds during the first 11 weeks. This is week 14 for me. Baby's HR was 160. I'm still taking Flinstones but I want to go back to prenatals this week.
How funny how you are all taking about hot dogs, yesterday I had two. I wasn't even aware of the nitrates on them, so I better go check mine out

Susan, You look adorable. I have been having problems sleeping as well. Last night I was up like for 3 hrs, couldn't find a confortable position to sleep. I hope I can sleep soundly tonight.

Melanie, you're sure very graphic but I couldn't stop laughing. I mean seriously if you don't do it, who else is gonna make us laugh that hard? By the way, what is TMI? I'm learning a lot of slang language and abbreviations in english but I can't figure that one out yet.

Dawn, I do feel weak when I don't eat every 3 hrs or so, cranky and light headed too. Then, if I dont eat soon enough, the acid in my stomach can trigger nausea and vomiting. I am eating a lot these days.

Cee, I hope you can find out soon about your baby's gender. I dont go back to my dr until July 6th anf then she'll schedule my u/s so I won't find until mid-july.

Jen, it seems that your pains are not getting any better. Have you talked to your Dr?

23jimbean, Not me!1 I'm not getting any workouts in just yet ;0(

Wendy, I am glad you're feeling good, other than the soreness from the injections, it seems like everything is going well. I am much better too, I just feel nauseated in the morning due to the acid in my stomach but 1 Zofran later I'm good for the rest of the day (at least I had for the past week)

HI to evryone else I missed, I'm at work so I have been writing btw pts

Check back later

TMI= too much information

Susan nailed it on the head, I worked today. It was busy, didn't get a break,...but felt much stronger.

No poop today. Eager for regularity.

kosher hot dogs? not sure i've heard of them. DRATS! Now I'm craving hotdogs BAD!!!!

Do you have the brand "Hebrew National"? They are kosher, and really good, The reduced fat ones are pretty tasty. My son loves them. Trader Joes has them too... I think I make the hot dog for me, hoping my son will not eat it...
As for lunch meat, I still eat it. I am just real careful. Our Italian Deli carries Boar's Head. My OB gave me the thumbs up on it. You really want to eat it fresh right away, bacteria THRIVES on deli meat. So fresh cut from a clean grade butcher with high volume. Or, wait it out!!!
Off to bed, I am pooped today. I ran 9 miles with the jogging stroller and feel like a lead weight. Good night all you wonderful preggos!:D

Morning ladies!
Slept great until 3 when dd woke up after a bad dream. Must of been about the baby because she kept rubbing my belly to make sure it was still there. Finally got back to sleep and slept until 5:45. I have had my orange and protein panckae and Im trying to figure out what workout to do...step of some kind I think.

Melanie-do you work today? Hope you are feeling good.
Christine-I"ll have to try the kosher dogs..I have seen that brand. You rock running 9 miles pushing a stroller AND pregnant! you go girl!

Hi Jen, Wendy, Cee, Allison, Dawn, Pricilla!!!

bb after my workout

Good AM! Yes, I have the day off. A girlfriend and her kids are going to come over and play this afternoon. This is my "sterile" friend,.....her house is cleaner than a hospital, seriously. I've already warned her not to expect a clean house,.....this is a serious challenge to my ego as I normally pride myself in keeping my house in tip top shape. *sigh* I suppose this is practice for when the twins arrive! LOL

Precilla, have you not gained a pound all month? 8-10 pounds total is great for 1st trimeseter. Some of us gain it right away, others slowly. Did your dr seem concerned? I'm sure your nausea/vomiting hasn't helped much. How is your co-worker doing?

Jen, sorry about your aches. I'm starting to get some dull aches. Mainly in my lower back, pelvis, and thighs. Nothing major.

Dawn, has your sunburn healed? It's been such a cold summer so far here, we haven't even opened our windows yet!

Christine, when's next sex date? LOL You know what I mean....

I'm off to make some steel cut oats for breakfast.

Waves to all!!!

And I ask myself, "Why did I go back and read the previous posts?";

I walked hills on the treadmill and did back. I just didn't have the energy to do much else. I've also vomited 2 days in a row now. I haven't done that in weeks. I thought by week 20 I'd be over that.

Melanie- Have a wonderful day off! BTW, I look forward to reading your posts......... until now;)

Susan - That is sooo sweet about your DD rubbing your belly. That's one of those moments you'll always remember. When you said you ate protein pancakes do you use whey protein powder? I didn't know that was safe during pregnancy b/c that's probably my biggest craving is a protein shake but I haven't had one b/c I thought I shouldn't.

Jen - Sorry about the achy back. Isn't it nice to think that there's such a long way to go? I think about that when I drop something knowing that before long I'm REALLY going to have a hard time picking it up. I'm tempted to leave things on the floor now just b/c I don't want to bend over and get it.

Priscilla - The weight gain thing is sooo tricky and unpredictable isn't it? I've gained about 10 so far and I'm not sure how much is baby and how much is junk food.

23jimbean - 9 miles! You go girl. Aren't you exhausted for the rest of the day?

Hi to everyone else!!

Just got done with LIS..I feel so whimpy..I had to go down to no risers. I don't remember gettingt his winded with Haley..but I was TEN years younger too!!!

Melanie-enjoy your play date and your oats..YUM! How do you cook yours?

Hey wendy you snuck in on me. My protein pancakes consist of cottage cheese, oatmeal, and egg whites....they are quite yummy!! I actually have never tried any protein powder in shakes or anything. I was going to try it last year but couldnt find any that didnt have artificial sweeteners. I am very anti that stuff. Sorry you have been sick. Hope you feel better today!! I too have gained right at 10 pounds according to my home scale...so I guess its normal if we both are at the point, right!

Good morning ladies,

Wow, you are all chatty, I cannot keep up with that ;).

Well, I am only 6 1/2 weeks but the nausea has hit and I am already tired of it. Speaking of tired, I have such a hard time getting up in the mornings.

Ok, enough whining, I have my first Dr.'s appointment tomorrow, I can't wait.

Not sure about my workout today, maybe a walk on the treadmill, if I am not to tired, so we have to see.

Melanie - Enjoy your day off!

Wendy - Sorry you have been sick the last couple of days!

Susan - Oh well, you worked out no matter with how many risers, good job!

23jimbean - I am amazed by your workouts!

luprisi - Great on the no weight gain ;)

dragonf1y - Yeah, you must be so excited to find out the sex soon.

Sweetpea1 - Sorry that you are hurting so much, hopefully it will ease up a little bit.

Good morning to everyone I missed.

Kristine :)

TEN pounds? I always gained that in my first trimester and was closer to 20lbs by 20 weeks. We're all so different, aren't we?

Susan, I just simmer my oats (forever) as directions say. Is there another way?!?!?

Wendy, was I too graphic for you?!?!? LOL

I didn't poop at all yesterday, but today I did. I didn't hurt at all. It was an easy glide,......and super super long. I must be cleaning out. My 3 year old looked at it and said, "Wow! I've never seen poop THAT BIG!". You see he was excited for me. ;)

HI Kristine-congrats!!! We'll be looking forward to hearing all about your pregnancy!

Melanie-that is the way I make my oats also, but some use a crock pot, others soak in water overnight. I usually make a double or triple batch so I can eat them quick a day or 2. Congrats on your movement!!!!! You can always count on your kids to be impressed uh!
