Will check in tomorrow for personals! Good night!

Hey ladies! Just a quick post! FIL made a gorgeous bassinet.

It's beautiful, Jen. Now, that's not a waste of money. That earns heirloom status :)

Melanie, I hear you on the toy assembly. It's mind-boggling. DH didn't actually look at the manual. I guess my telling him that indeed it *does* come off, read page 41, was enough motivation for him to do it. I have to wash it tonight. First day of kindergarten -- what a milestone for you both :) From what I hear, you'll be more emotional than he is. Good luck to you both!!

I am not exaggerating when I say I've done no less than 15 loads of laundry since yesterday. I love the smell of clean laundry, but since I'm using the All Free & Clear, there is no smell. I feel I've accomplished nothing!!

Thanks ladies! We are in love with it and amazed at what he did! FIL has always been great at building things but in the last few years his work had started to decline with age so I think DH was really impressed! Definitely not something we would return! MIL said that she has not bought off the registry because she was going to wait until after showers and see what we need for baby that we did not get which is great!

Susan- Sorry about the butt pain. I found myself turning every hour last night which seemed to help except the fact that it kept waking me up so I got jagged sleep. Oh well, better than no sleep.

Melanie-Awww... good luck with your little one starting K! We are here for you! He will do great and so will you!

Allison- I bet you feel great after getting all that laundry and cleaning done! I know I always feel more organized and productive.

Hi to all the other preggos! It's seems to have slowed down on here lately....hope everyone is doing ok.

Morning!
Hope everyone had a nice yesterday. Haley was fine until 2 or so then started coughing non stop and nose running non stop. No fever so its problaby just a kid cold. Finally got her to sleep at 10 then she woke up snorty at 2. I was up anyway with the butt pain! Who needs sleep, right?
Jen-the bassinet is beautiful!
Melanie-Im sure Justin will have a great day. Let us know how drop off goes.
Allison-oh I love the smell of fresh laudry! I got some All free and clear too for Kara's stuff.
Im running behind this morning so I will bbl.

Haley has no fever but has I am keeping her home today. Shes all snotty and I dont want her getting all hot and sweaty at school today. So I won't be studying today..I need total silence to read! I"ll have to double up tomorrow.

I go to the dr at 2, so dh is coming home while I do that.

Waves to everyone
Dawn-any action yet?

Melanie- Both your boys are very handsome! The contrast of the mood in the pics are priceless! Jory's face is like "Mooommm, why are you taking my picture?" and Justin's face is right up in the camera saying "Cheese! Take my pic mom!". It's adorable!

Susan- Yay for no fever! I hope she feels better! Have fun at dr!

Jen- I thought the same thing about Mel's boys. Jory was so over it while Justin loved it! too funny!!!

Haley is feeling fine so thats good.

Thanks gals. I'm very proud of my kids. :D And I"m proud of myself too, I barely cried.....just a tad bit....not enough for even a tissue!!!

I just got a package of identical twin girl clothes in the mail from a friend I made on a twins forum group!!!!! Oh my goodness!!! I feel like it's Christmas!!!! Everything is in excellent condition....many items are Gymboree, Gap, Carters.... There's even a pair of itsy bitsy Gap tights in striped colors...

Melanie-that is awesome!!! Oh I bet the tights are too cute!!

Waiting on dh to get home for my dr's appt. Today I get the strep b test.....nothing like getting everything down there swabbed....I just can't wait!

You girls have been chatty these past 2 days. I'ts crazy, it took me a while to read all the post.

I finally had my Glucose test this morning. I hope everything is fine because around 4 am I woke up super hungry so I had a slice of bread with cheese and turkey bacon ahh and a small piece of pound cake. Then, I was worry for the rest of the night/ Oh well...

Jen, the bassinet is very cute!

Melanie, both of your buys are handsome, that pic of Jory looks like a magazine cover, very cute!

Allison, post some pics when possible. We'd like to see the nursery. You should be counting down ha?

Susan, I'm glad you're feeling better. I haven't tried Ambien (is that prescribed?) Sometimes, I take 1-2 benadryl and that help me sleep soundly

Wendy, I read that your father is slowly recovering. i'm glad is getting better and I hope he fully recovers soon. Hugs to you

Dawn, which week are you in now?

Hi Cristine, Kristine, Cee, Raciela and everyone else!!

Hey
Back from dr. I am dialated 1cm. I had a few contractions while there. He said if I happen to go into labor this week he would try and stop it..but if it were next week he would let it happen. Its just a waiting game!

Hi Pricalla-Benedryl makes me wired usually! Its not that I am not sleepy..I am VERY..its just my butt pain keeps me up. Im sure your glucose test will be fine! Yes, Amibien is rx. I have never tried it though..Melanie uses it.

Priscilla- Your test shoudl be fine. My doctor sai dthat it was fine to eat, your body would adjust as needed if things were already functioning normally. I did my glucose test last friday. I felt nauseated the rest of the day. I am more of a crunchy salty protein girl than the sugary goop of the test.
Melanie- Whew, I did not realize you have a house full of so many ages, that must be a real handful. I feel your anxiety about school starting. Jimmy started his first day of preschool today and I was full of angst. It is only 2 mornings a week, but the four hours felt like an eternity. I have never been away from him longer than an hour. I was lurking in the back of the room and he saw me and said "MOM, I told you to please go home." Guess he loved it! It was great to pick him up and see he did well. A few months of the peace and quiet and then here comes baby!
Susan- Wow! Here comes baby!
Jen- What a sweet gift from yoru in laws. I hear both you and Dawn about not wanting the other extra stuf, though. My son HATED the swing and hgh chair as well as all other bulky items. He did love the exersaucer, though.
Dawn and Allison - hope you are feeling well!
My hubby drove back last night. I have never seen him cry in the 10 years we have been together and he was in tears yesterday morning before he left. This is harder on all of us than we thought. Jimmy, our son, is handling it better than us! There is a good chance I will have the baby down here, and hope that we can induce so that my hubby can be here for it. Off to nap. I have no energy to work out today. I got the weights and step out and opened up a pack of Red Vines instead. Mmmm.
See you preggos later!

Priscilla- Also, my doctor recommends Unisom if you want an over the counter med. I take it a lot, otherwise I toss and turn all night from aches and worries. AMbien is a prescription, and is easily and often prescribed. I prefer Ambien over the Unisom, you do not wake up as foggy.

Christine, that is too funny about your son sending you home!!!

Today was uneventful, EXCEPT that the bus had engine trouble & was 45 minutes LATE!!! Urgh!!! Little Justin is tired & will hopefully sleep well tonight.

Precilla, Ambien is a controlled substance,....therefore may be habit forming. It is category "B" in pregnancy, just as safe as Tylenol........but is not first line of treatment due to habit forming potiential. Both Unisom & Benadryl are worth a round before asking for Ambien.

Susan, yeah to some cervical excitment.

Speaking of excitment,.....my new dual va ja ja/back supporter arrived in the mail today. I"m hoping it'll help my back for my long days (as well as keep my vaginal vericose veins neat & tidy). I have another day off.....but did way to much physical work today & can definitely feel it in my neck & back. I finally went through Justin/Jadon's clothes bins....I"m embarrassed to say that there were bins of summer clothes that my boys didn't even get to wear b/c I was so nauseated most of the summer. :( My "tote room" is neat and tidy.....but at the price of achiness for this mommy. :(

I know I need to rest more & not do so much physcial labor. But I keep on telling myself that NOW is the time to do this stuff b/c in a few weeks I"m going to be gigantic & not be able to move!!!! I seriously think I need to be sedated sometimes, b/c my urge to "do things" is so much part of my personality.:eek:

Christine-I know your heart was aching to see your dh cry. Im so sorry you guys are going through this. Good thing Jimmy keeps you going. He's a hoot! Im glad he had a good day at school!

Melanie-I am the same way about wanting to be up and getting things done. And in a way you are right..in a few weeks you won't really be able to or feel like it. Try to get stuff done, but DONT over do it girl! Did Justin enjoy his day?
Whoo hoo on the new hardware!

Haley is snotty but has had no fever today. She'll be going to school tomorrow. I have a lot of reading to do and a dental cleaning at noon. Oh and I need to pre-reg at the hospital. Busy busy

Hope everyone has a good night! What I would give for an Advil and a Corona!

Hey, WAIT! Susan can't have her baby before me. I'm supposed to be next (and man, am I READY!). Just kidding ;) My last 2 appts, my OB said my cervix was softening but he couldn't "get in high enough" to see if I was dilated. Bah. Tomorrow is my 38 week appt; I'm hoping for more progress!!

Melanie, what a fun package to open! I agree with the others -- your older son looks like, "Augh, Mom -- AGAIN?" while Jordan's face just radiates with excitement! I'm like you too -- just want to get stuff DONE. I still have a list of things I want to do before Boy comes...don't know if I can do it or not! Suddenly, September 20 seems very close. I realized today it's only 12 days away (WHAT?!).

Priscilla, I hope you passed your glucose test. I'm going to try to finish the nursery (for the most part) tomorrow and will take pics :)

Christine, I'm sorry this is so hard on you and DH. I hope you guys can induce to make sure he's there for the delivery; I would think he'd be really hard hit if he's not there with you. Too cute about Jimmy telling you to leave LOL I need to get my DD in a preschool program; aiming for winter. She will likely do the same to me. Turkeys!

Susan, sorry to hear Haley is feeling sick again. So, if you go into labor next week, are you ready??!!

Anyone else experience weird tingling and numbness in their hands and arms? It's freaking me out! Just started a last week and it's really annoying. I googled it; seems it might be carpal tunnel syndrome, which is common in late stage pregnancy. Never heard that before! Since my OB appt is tomorrow, I'm trying to be calm.

My mom and I took DD to the Carter's outlet today to do some shopping. Mom was very gracious and treated DD to 2 bags full of clothes, plus a monkey costume for Boy's Halloween, a fleece Christmas outfit, and a first Thanksgiving outfit. We picked up 2 pairs of shoes at Target too. DD made out like a bandit! And now, there's MORE laundry to do LOL
