Good news and bad news

Hello all!!!

I have some good news and bad news.

The good news is that after being laid off for 2 months - I GOT A JOB!!!! YAY!!!!! :D
And it is a job I really wanted too. In fact, I think it is going to be better than my old job. Everything about it is great. I start next Monday.

More good news: I am moving out of my parents and I got an even better apartment than the one I gave up 2 months ago. YAY!!!!

So things really do workout for the best - ya just have to hang in there.

Now for the bad news: TriStaters - I will not be seeing you on April 3rd. I wil be at my new instead. I am sorry!!! I am sad I will miss out on meeting all of you. Hopefully after I get situated there I can take a Friday off and finally get to meet you all. If there are still plans to go to the RT brunch on Sunday that weekend, I can meet you all then, but hopefully I will get a chance to do so before that.

Anyway - thanks to everyone who kept me in their thoughts back in Feb. when I made that sad laid off post. Now I am happy to make this got a job post YAY!!!!
 
May your new job be just overwhelming enough that you know you've taken on the right challenge for you! Congratulations!
 
Wonderful news about the new job. It's so hard to read about Cathe friends and spouses out of work...It's nice to see some good news.

Congrats on your new -- and better -- job and apartment!!! That must be such a relief, and I hope everything works out for you.

Don't worry about missing the TriStaters' get-together on 4/3 -- I'm sure there will be others.

As for the RT brunch, to clear up any confusion, a few of us may get together for brunch and meet up with the RTers AFTER the RT is over. Not sure if we're still doing that but we'll know better when it gets closer.

Don't worry about missing out on the chance to hang with our merry band of thieves...there'll be other opportunities..you've got much bigger fish to fry!!

Great News!!!! I am soooo happy for you. You must be so relieved. This is a great thing for you and you can use it as a great growing experience.

Don't worry about tri staters- I live close enough that if you ever get a day off just PM me and I'll be happy to meet you at Cathe's.

It is very good to hear that people are getting jobs when all we seem to hear about is doom and gloom!!! Congratulations :D And double congratus that your job and apartment are better than before!!

And thanks for clearing up that RT brunch question. I had seen something floating around about going that Sunday, but that definitely makes sense to go after the RT is over. I will keep my eyes open.
