Gigantic Bellies & Healthy Babies Check-In Oct 11th

Melanie, I hope you are having a better day today. 5 weeks will be here bofore you know, that's when my parents arrive to visit me as well. It's all worthy!
Answering you question, we did find the house we want and we put down the earnest money and got approved for the loan, at this point the builder has few days to finish it (yard, the fence and sprinkle system), then to inspect it and hopefully close in a month from now. We are very excited!
My calf cramp is gone, I'm folowing your advise and drinking more milk, eating yougurt etc..

I'll be back later, I got sidetracked!
Hi to all the fabulous preggo ladies!

Precilla~ I'm so excited for you & your home purchase! Is it a brand new house? It sounds like you're so close to being there! I'm glad your calves are feeling better.....those cramps can be painful!

Woo hoo! It's 65 degrees here! It feels so nice! It's supposed to be 60 or so tonight. This is like winter in Florida for us! I feel like making soup and baking FINALLY! Plan on washing the rest of James's clothes and writing my thank you cards. Probably sticking pretty close to home after all the excitement the last two weekends.

Priscila- What a relief that you have found a house! That stinks that you have to move right before your LO is born but hopefully you will get some time to settle in! It's exciting to move into your own house. Enjoy!

Melanie- Hope you are hanging in there...I know the hospital is DEFINITELY not the same as your home and I hope it goes by quick for you!

BBL!

Urgh. This head cold really sucks! I feel like I cannot even work on projects....all I want to do is sleep......but I cannot breathe well enough to sleep. Can't I just hibernate the next 5 weeks away?!?!?!?

Hi Ladies!
Kara's bili levls were up to 15 yesterday so we have her on a bili blanket around the clock. I also have to supplement with formula...which I DO NOT LIKE! But so far so good. I start withthe breast then give her an oz of formula. She doesnt love it and its giving her gas..but gotta do what ya gotta do! I take her back tot he dr on Monday. Other than that she is fabulous!! You pregnant gals just wait...Melanie knows...but the love you will feel is overwhelming! I am the luckiest person in the world..so soo happy!
Mom is gone, and Im actually glad. Im ready to get in my own groove.
Melanie-Im so sorry you dont feel well! You just hibernate away!!
Pricalla-awesome about your house! When will you be moving?
Jen-it was in the 40s here this morning..high is 60...I love it! I know you are loving the cooler weathere there! Maybe you can get outside for a walk to enjoy it.
I weighed 124 this morning....137 the day of delievery...so I have about 10 pounds to work off. Im not in a hurry though. Im feeling good physically, I go to the dr in 2 weeks and will ask about exercise.
Dh made lunch and its ready. I"ll check in later!

Melanie- I'm sorry you are stuffy! That is so hard.....just rest and take care of yourselves!

Susan- Yay for getting in your groove! I'm sure I will feel the same way after our visitors leave when James is born. I can understand the frustration about supplementing with formula because I don't want to have to do that but will do what I need to do!

Well I washed and folded the rest of James's 0-3 mo clothes and towels. Now I am washing all the blankets and did some more organizing in his room. I think I am officially nesting....I just want to be somewhat organized when he decides to make his appearance.

Susan, sorry about Kara's billi numbers. I'd feel the same way about supplementing with formula--but it''ll be shortlived. 10-lbs is really really really good. That'll come off naturally in next couple weeks.

Jen, yeah on getting some nesting done. Do you think my DH will do some nesting?

Dr's did chest Xrays, and blood work today. Apparently they never checked for H1N1 when i was admitted......so now they're treating me with that, and antibiotics for bronchial/pneumonia type symptoms. Not fun...hoping to feel better realy soon so I can work on some projects.

Waves to all!

Hello!
Melanie-how ya feeling?
We have had a nice day today. I was able to get my house pretty much clean and back in order. Its weird actually having energy again..and NO BUT PAIN AT NIGHT!!
btw-Jen-how is your butt
Since I am nursing on one breast sometimes while I supplement for jaundice I am pumping the other to keep up production. HOpefully on MOnday I will be done with formula. OMG....my nips are so sore! I don't see how some women pump all the time.
Well, the mac and cheese is about ready! hope everyone is doing well.

Susan, your nips will get more hardy......I promise. Keep up the good work, momma!!!

I feel absolutely awful. My sinuses are in so much pain, teeth, head, face, eyes. My throat is sore from breathing out of my mouth continuously. Urgh. I'm praying that this will get better really reallly soon!!!!

Mel- FEEL BETTER! I am so sorry, but am glad you are in good care and not home alone!
Susan- I pumped almost three months. My nips hurt so much. You can probavly understand why I am goign straight to formula this round. No way can I do it again. I will go to heaven for round one on teh breastfeeding attempt. I know Kara will be off formula for you soon, adn that will make you feel better in so many ways. WAY TO GO on only 10 pounds. Muscle Max might be your claim to fame! I am aiming for the same goal. I have gained about 17 pounds so far. I am thinking once we are all in the same house again, I will pack on some major weight, with stress much lower.
Jen- Hope you are relaxing! No showers, woo hoo!!!!
We have spent the day cleaning out the house. Ahhh. We went for a long run this morning, almost 10 miles and I am pooped. Big sleep planned tongiht. My fmaily makes me so happy, cannot wait till we are all together again full time.
Hi to all the preggos, I will get more personals later!!!

THanks for the nip support girls! Ive been usig lanisonoh and it seems to be soothing a little. Im waiting with 2 VERY full breasts for Kara to wake up!
Christine-17 pounds is awesome! With all your running you'll be back at your fighting weight before you know it!
Melanie-you poor thing!!! I wish there was something I could do to make you feel better!

Christine- I know what you mean about being around family. It's the best cure in the world. I love spending time "nesting" with DH right now, it just soothes my soul.

Melanie- You poor thing. I hope you get some rest.

Susan- (Knock on wood) not having too much butt pain but I know its there lurking in the shadows cause I feel it. I have found a trick for getting more done around the house. I stop and rest and ice my butt/back area and it has helped immensely!

Made some soup cause its cool here but never got around to the cookies. DH helped me finish James's room and now I just have some small thing to organize and then that's about it. We have some things to return to BRU and potentially buy and then we wait......

Thanks for the get well wishes, ladies. I was even willing to try the neti pot --but they don't have it here. None of the nurses have heard of it....I was going to order it by amazon (and pay extra to 1-day it) along with some soft kleenex....but due to weekend & such it won't be here until Tuesday and I BETTER be feeling better by then!!

Jen, you'll have to update us with nursery pics.

Christine, you're amazing with your weight gain. I haven't gained any net weight in past 3-4 weeks....still holding stable at 40-lb weight gain....which I'm pleased with twins. I'm hoping not to go over 50-lbs.....but serioiusly, at this point I don't care as long as girls are healthy & strong.

Susan, the first few weeks of nursing is the hardest.....until your nipples get nice and placid. Do you have sores on your nips? BTW, love the "nips" terminology.

Just had my nebs, cough syrup with codeine, tylenol. docusate, and Miralax. Whew. I cannot believe how much meds I am on. :( Waiting until 930/10 to take my Ambien.

Chat with you beautiful ladies tomorrow!!

Ahhh..my first morning coffee/computer time in a while!

Kara is doing so well at nights! I put her down at 10:00 and she got up at 12:30..I nursed/burped/changed (she pooped twice during nursing). I have her bassinet next to my bed so I nurse her in my bed..anyway. We fel asleep cuddling, so I didnt put her back down until 2. Then she woke up at 4 and we did the same thing. So far shes been getting some good sleep in from now til about 9. Knock on wood but Haley NEVER did this well. Sleep has always been our manin issue. SHe would grunt whenI put her down and we had horrible nights from the beginning. I really think this bassinet is helping. HOw its shaped kinda wraps around Kara and cuddles her. Anyway, I know I"ll have horrible nights..but so far so good.

If I wasnt so old I would have another one soon!!!

Im tired of bleeding. I think this lasts about 2 weeks, right?? After no period for so long this sucks!

Dh just left to go hunting for a couple hours. We might venture out for the first time today. I need groceries and have a little cabin fever. I want to try out my sling too.

Melanie-hope you got a good nights sleep. SUrely will all those meds you'll be on the mend!! No, no sores on the nips thank goodness. I had nips of steel with Haley, so surely they will be ok in a day or so. The darn pump is what made them sore.

Jen-I hope the butt pain stays away!!! I love soup on cool days. I plan on making a pot of something today. WHat kind did you make??

ok Im off to do a little online shopping while I have a few. bbs

Melanie I forgot to start a new thread ...again!!
