Melanie - I have had three showers, and have everything I need. I still have a couple of decorations (glow-in-the-dark stars) that I need to buy off of amazon. I will try to post pictures of my belly and nursery, but no promises as I have had a hard time getting dinner on the table lately. I have all of my clothes sorted out and need to get stuff washed and returned. I have not packed my hospital bags yet.
I do not feel particularly virtuous about working out, I spend most of it talking to my child telling him that he needs to get out of my lungs. The not breathing stuff is big motivation, even when I have no energy.

Jen - So sorry to hear how much you are hurting, I have an emotional need for you to be doing well since you are just ahead of me. I hope the darvocet works well.

Christine - A second on the calcium, I figure as many antacids as I am chewing, I am getting plenty myself :D

Had a small breakdown last night over the conflicting childbirth information that I am getting. It makes me just want to give up trying to make any plans about what I want to have happen for childbirth. I plan on calling my midwife friend tonight so she can refocus me.

Susan - You and Kara look so beautiful. Congratulations again. I will be praying Kara gets over her jaundice quickly.

Jen - You officially are the most loved baby shower recipient in the world! I hope you can return some stuff so you can get some toddler things! Wow! And, I got the package yesterday. Thank you for the treat inside. We are going to go to Target today!
Susan- Haley looks like one awesome loving big sister. Wow. Glad you are well.
Priscilla- You are going to be okay, we will move together! Think how great it will be when baby comes and you know where everythign is and it is all clean!!!!

Dragonfly- Do not worry about people's opinions about birth. Do what you want. Once you are there, you may find that you desire a different experience, adn most times can make adjustments. Whether it is pain meds or not, etc. The only thing that can be risky is an in home birth if there is anythign wrong with baby, but there are great midwide birthing centers near most major hospitals. The funny thing, I remember every day of my pregnancy but barely remember birth. God bless the hormones that make you forget it all! All that matters is that you are happy and that baby gets out okay!

Dragonfly- My back is much better, thank you! I only took the Darvocet that one day although I do have it with me in case. James has dropped and is causing mucho pressure down below. Makes me very excited that I will be meeting my son soon!!!! I'm hoping he hangs in there another week or two! I agree with Christine, don't listen to everyone. Take the information in like a sponge and then filter out what is helpful to you. I thought I would be more panicked/nervous the closer I got to giving birth but I'm actually not. I'm just excited. Our emotions are a roller coaster right now so its okay to get nervous and panic sometimes.

Susan- I just want to cuddle Kara! She looks so sweet!

Christine- Whew! I'm glad you got the package in time! You are so welcome! Enjoy your treat!

Off to meet the pediatrician. BBL!

My best friend gave me a box of Godiva chocolates. Nothing has ever tasted so good. My son and I polished them off, not thinking he will go down for nap. He is amped from sugar, but it sure was fun.

Hi ladies. It sounds like everyone's been busy.

I'm back in the hospital now for duration of pregnancy. My cervix shortened to 1.5 cm and I have more definite funneling couples with dilation (about 1 cm). My platelets are at an all time low of 38K.......so I'm on hospital bedrest hopefully for 5 more weeks. :( The good news is I have internet connection, but I'm still 2.5 hours from home & will only see my kids maybe once a week (on weekends when they're not in school).

I wasn't as chipper this time around going in........I was downright depressed yesterday. I'll have to get the the right mindset. They have me an the ICU b/c there were no rooms left. The room has no mirror, no sink in bathroom, and the lights don't work from my bed. Urgh. I know attitude is everything....so I'll have to get that back in order. I developed a head cold but tested negative for Influenza A & B & strep so that is good news :D

Susan, sounds like you're doing great. Kara sounds so precious

Cee, sounds like you got everything ready

Jen, you did hit the jackpot, girl! I've only gotten outfits from 2 friends .....that's it....but these aren't my first kiddos so I'm not expecting anything. Love your belly. What are you measuring at? I also like the lettering & the belly cast!

Precilla, are your leg cramps better? Did you find a home you'd like to put an offer on?

Christine, I cannot wait until your in your new home & you can breathe again!

Waves to all mommies!

Melanie- Give me the address of the hospital. I am going to send you some goodies in teh mail. It will be fun. SOmethign to look forward to. Or to your home? And hubby can bring it? It will be great to pay forward some smiles. ADDRESS MAMMA!

You're so sweet, Christine!

How did your appt go yesterday?

Mel- A little something going in the mail tomorrow, hopefully! Hope it cheers you up. I put in some books, do not need them back, I have already read them! I know that it is so hard to be isoalted away from your family and how gloomy the hospital is, but when you leave it will be with bundles of joy! Hope the anticipation of something silly gets you through a few extra days.
My appointment was okay, nothing to write home about. Healthy but not allowed to fly. Having BH contractions a lot.

Melanie!! Sorry you are back in hospital! Being away a few days and I miss so much! Time just gets away from me. My mom is sleeping in the computer room so its tough to get in here when I have time. Things will get easier next week and I"ll hang out with you!

Thanks to everyone for the congrats! It means so much to me!
Jen-you hit the jackpot girl!! Lvoe the belly cast..sooo cute!!
Christine-btw..you asked. I did NOT poop..lol..but did pee all over the dr!!! glad your appt went well. Oh thats brx hx drove me nuts for months!
Hi Pricilla, Cee, Kristine, Wendy, Dawn and everyone!!!

Waves waves waves!

Melanie- I am sorry you are back in the hospital. You are right, attitude is everything but it is hard to get in that mindset. Especially when you were doing so great at home.

Hi Susan! Keep sharing pics!!!

Christine- That is so sweet of you! Maybe I will piggyback on your idea and send some silly stuff too!

Went to Target last night and got the last few things we needed like some mittens so he doesn't scratch his face and nursing pads. Now this weekend I just plan on washing and folding clothes and organizing. DH has both car seat bases in the cars and I will start slowly putting things aside to pack our bag. Looking forward to the weekend to just relax now that we don't have anymore showers or visitors!

Waves to all! Have a wonderful day!

I think I"m set on everything at home for the babies. Last week I got the carseats ready--installing the bundle me wraps inside the car seats (DH wouldn't have figured that out). I did tell him I wanted the van detailed prior to bringing the babies home.....it is full of dog hair b/c he hauls our german shepherd all of over the place with him. It's gross. I don't want dog hair all over my babies!!!! So.......as long as he follows those instructions.....we should be good.

Justin & Jadon's booster seats will need to go in the far back of the van & the bases will still need to be installed into the van. Hopefully we'll have a full month for this......my DH seems to be such a procrastinator... but I have no control over this & just have to trust he will get it done.

I have set up carepages to update my condition (and the girls)....if anyone is interested here's the website: https://www.carepages.com/carepages/monnietwins

My headcold is uncomfortable. My eyes are red & swollen and my sinuses hurt pretty bad. I've been taking tylenol for the pain. This is day 5 or so of the cold, so should be about 1/2 over!

Anyone have big plans for the day?

Melanie- Do not laugh but have you ever tried a netti pot? It is a little tea pot that you fill with warm salt water, adn you pour it in your nose. It flushes out your sinuses and loosesns congestion naturally. You can get really impressive snot globs out, in a rainbow of colors. It helps me so much, the hospital probably has them in the pharmacy. And it will bring relief. My doctor let me take Benadryl, will they let you? Feel better. We are going to go running, go to the post office (hooray!), and then I am going to endure my sister in law for a few hours. One of the highlights of moving is that she will be farther away. She has the personality of a rusty nail.

Christine~ I've never used a neti pot...but I've recommended them at work. The doctor ordered pseudoephedrine 30mg every 4 hours (I normally take 60mg every 6 hrs)...hope it works. I have some saline drops here too. I'm thinking the hospital pharmacy doesn't have neti pots.....but I could ask!

Too funny about your SIL. Someetimes familiy can be so difficult! Have fun. :)
