A nice day for staying inside. We slept in this morning--isn't that what Saturday mornings are for? It felt so good to feel completely rested. Been doing a little cleaning, reading, exercising (Afterburn today), and walking Ripken. We just came in a little bit ago from a short walk--it's raining with maybe a little sleet mixed in. Sounded like something frozen was coming down with the rain. The ground temperature is in the low 40s, so there must be cold air aloft.
As sister noted, we are once again registered for the Glassboro Roadtrip. Just doing the registration process is a mix of agony and fun. Sister gets extremely worked up over the whole thing--she is very entertaining. DH and I also have reservations for a trip to Tortola next month--11 days at Long Bay. We have a direct flight from Dulles to St Thomas and then will take the ferry to Tortola. DH has been on the internet for the past 2 weeks, maybe 3, looking at places and checking availability. We finally settled on Long Bay in Tortola and made the reservations yesterday. We've been to Tortola before for day trips while staying on another British Virgin Island--this will be the first time that we actually stay on Tortola. I'm looking forward to it. Just have alot of work to get done beforehand.
Janie: you are almost through the first mesocycle. How exciting is that? What cardio are you doing with it? Glad you are having some sunny days out in the PNW. You guys sure have had a wet and snowy winter.
Laura: I'm glad that you and your family are safe and sound. Snow over the hood of the truck--EEK! I guess experiencing that much snow can be a mix of delight and dread. But it's good for the ski resorts, right? And I am so relieved to hear that you are feeling like you are getting back to normal. Did you ever find out how you landed up rolling your vehicle or is that just one of those things you will never know? Gentle exercise sounds good to me. I am going to do a yoga and stretch week next week before I start Cathe's February rotation. It is good timing because I will be on travel to Camp Lejeune for most of the week.
Loving my Kindle Fire, by the way. I have read more books in the last month because it is so easy to go the library online and get books. Love it! That's my next stop once I am done checking out the forums.
