Getting Our Licks In!

I had the picture on my computer and just selected it from where it was saved after hitting upload a file. I don't see options to pull it off Facebook so I'm not sure what is going on Janie!

Last night was late by the time I was able to exercise (8:50!) so I did a quick X10 Cardio Blast. Tonight I'll do PiYo or Athletic Training, for some reason Athletic Training sounds tempting!

Hi everyone. Shifted back to Tuesday as a break day, so no exercise today. Back to the October rotation tomorrow.

Cindy: Love, love, love the pictures. Lucas is just adorable--well actually your entire family is beautiful. Three children between the ages of 2 and 7 or 8--no wonder why you are so busy. My hat's off to you for taking care of yourself and your family. My mother had terrible vericose veins. During the past few years she had a procedure (stripping, I think) done on each leg to get rid of them. She'd had them as long as I can remember and I'm glad that medical science finally found a way to deal with vericose veins. I've always worried that I would develop them too, but so far not. Probably one of the reasons why I exercise so much. Keep in mind that we are not all destined to develop our previous generations' health problems either.

Janie: hope your procedure went okay today and that you are feeling better in no time.

For some unknown reason the "Upload a File" is now working. I've changed nothing and it's now working. Hmmmmmmm. Glad it is.
Yesterday was my gum graft surgery and it went very well. Today I'm myself, just have to eat protein drinks for about a week and on to more solid foods. But no pain nothing, I was worried for no reason. Ha, who knew? Will wait a couple of days before I do any workouts.

Michelle, Hope you enjoyed your rest day. I can't believe I got myself in such a worried state about this gum graft. It was nothing. Yea!

Cindy, Great job on a quick X10 Cardio Blast. I'm going to purchase today PiYo. I can't wait! Just what the doctor ordered I think. And very short workouts until I can get back up to par with Cathe. I purchased it for $41.95 free shipping & new.

Today was HIIT 40/20 and STS ab circuits weights and plates. The best thing about 40/20 are those 1 minute breaks every 4 minutes. I was definitely huffing and puffing this morning.

Janie: so glad the gum graft was not a painful process. Sometimes the anticipation of something like that is worse than the reality. BTW, Cathe has alot of good short workout options on XTRAIN and some of her new workouts from last year; sometimes we forget about all those premix options that Cathe provides and she has been providing more and more of those with each new workout series.

Went clam digging and got my limit within 20-25 min. Will get more with Joey tomrrow and keep going until the 12th. Then there is a break from it for just a little while and it starts all over again. Fun Fun Fun and tasty meals to come.

Michelle, Great job on HiTT 40/20 and STS ab circuits weights and plates. You are right about the short workouts in XTrain, I did forget about them. Now I will have lots of short workouts until I can get up to par. Love when I confuse muscle, it seems to work faster for me when I mix things up. Faster meaning the next time I workout it's not so hard. Well, sometimes. LOL
 
I had not worked out for a long time, so I did half of MMA Kickboxing and the legs from High Reps. I can't find Muscle Max at the moment.

Quick checkin: 4DS High Intensity Step today. Cathe is push-up happy in this one. Keeping track of the new workouts in FB; looks like they are going to be challenging--we will all be HIIT happy.

Janie: Fresh clams, my husband would be in seventh heaven. Me, not so much. I'm okay with a clam chowder but steamed in the shell is not my favorite. How do you prefer to prepare your clams?

Caitlin: welcome back. It's been a little while since you have checked in but we are always happy to have you. It's great that you are getting back into exercising.

Update on Abel's drawing. It's getting there, but still have a ways to go. Taking a break and getting ready to do some clam digging. OOOOO, it's really foggy out there.

Joey and I got our limits on clams. So much fun together. It was quite the walk getting there and back, but we did it. And will do it again tomorrow.

Michelle, Great job on 4DS High Intensity Step today. I'm loving the new DVD's coming out. I like making clam chowder the most, and Joey likes clam strips. Soooooooo gooooooood!

Nice to see you back lovely Caitlin, Great job on doing half of MMA Kickboxing and legs from High Reps. Hope you find MM.

Tuesday night I did Afterburn 1-5, it felt great :) Wednesday I took off because my neck/shoulders were hurting, I'm seeing the chiropractor today to get myself realigned. Last night I did a quick Tabatacise 1-2 and it had me sucking air, man that's a hard workout! Tonight I need to clean the house but I may get in a quick workout, haven't decided yet and we'll see how time works out for me. Lots of chores to do this weekend with some fun snuck in here and there hopefully :)

Janie - You are so talented, I love that picture. Can't wait to see the finished product :) Clamming sounds like a lot of tasty fun and a good workout!

Michelle - Those breaks in Hiit 40/20 are so lovely and needed!

Caitlin - MMA is a fullbody kick start for sure, you didn't ease into it!

Went clamming again tonight and Joey I got our limits. It's takes longer to clean them than it does to get them. LOL! Oh but I'm sure will be worth it. Took our jeep down to the ocean this time. Made things much easier.
Almost done with Abel, should post a photo of it tomorrow. Yea! Then will start another one real soon.

Cindy, Great job on Tus. Afterburn 1-5. Wedn. a rest; hoping your neck/shoulders are feeling better. And for last nights Tabatacise 1-2.

Boy what happened to me? I forgot to check in for a few days. Friday was Yoga Max and a half day off for me. Yesterday was 4DS Lower Intensity Step and Weights, today was 4DS Bootcamp and weights. Had a nice dinner at my aunt and uncle's last night; my cousin, his wife, and 5 month old daughter were there as well. I really love my cousin-in-law; she is just fantastic. And it is so heartwarming to see my cousin so happy with his little family. It's been raining here but we got a break today so I was able to get a little yardwork in.

Laura: I am so happy for you that you went to the Daytona roadtrip. I'm sure it was hard but I hope it was rejuvenating for you.

Janie: love the picture. The little touch of color is really nice. You are so creative. BTW, I wore a piece of your jewelry yesterday. Also nice to have your energy so close.

Party Rockin' Step 1 today--the whole thing with no breaks--Woot, Woot! Worked at home today and went to the eye doctor. Haven't been in thrre and half years, my eyes haven't changed; DH has cataracts and will need to get those dealt with. Optometrist had two bichon puppies that I played with while DH was getting checked out. Both were very cute and for sale, but not my breed--I'm waiting for my golden retriever puppy.

Today was a walk on a very windy and almost rainy day at the beach. Rolly and I got home just in time before the rains started. Plan on doing yoga tonight.
Michelle, Great job on Party Rockin Step with no breaks. You are soooooo good! One of my dear friends is going through cataracts surgery in one eye. The next one is in a couple of days. She is doing just fine. Also for doing Yoga Max and yesterdays 4DS Lower Intensity Step and Weights. Also for today's 4DS Bootcamp and weights. Glad you enjoyed family, so important. Sending you more energy just because. xoxo

I'm back ladies! I'm sorry I haven't posted but I'm still sick with a sinus infection. Last Saturday after I worked out to Xtrain's Chest & BB's Shoulders my throat was on fire. Didn't go to work on that Monday but did work Tues., Wed. & Thurs. Left work early on Thurs. & went to the doctor. Stayed home on Friday taking my antibiotic & probiotics too. Didn't workout until this past Saturday. I did Xtrain's Chest & Shoulders + Rapid Fire #1 abs (just couldn't do BB b/c its so hard); Sunday was Cardio Leg Blast 1-6 premix; Monday was BB (Arms). I'm at work today & will try to do a cardio & ab workout. Something short & easy. Still sick.

Michelle: Glad you enjoyed family time & you always rock it w/your workouts.

Janie Sis: Clam digging wouldn't be a favorite thing for me to do but glad your collecting quite a bit of clams for your chowder & your strips. Do you bread the clams? The only way I can eat them is if their chopped up & breaded. LOL Your drawing of Abel is great & I know Allison's drawing will be too. Its really coming along.

Cindy: I did happen to catch the family picture. All of your kids are adorable. You & DH make such a lovely looking couple. I hope your neck/shoulders are doing better today.

I'm loving all the pictures of the new series. Can't wait to get my hands on them & do them. I actually went on Sunday to Dick's Sporting good store & only found the shorts that Amanda is wearing + 2 tanks that Cathe's wearing. I want to purchase the blue outfit that Cathe's wearing & can't find it anywhere. Frustrating. I remember years ago when I asked Cathe re her fitness apparel. She actually went to the store & sent me the top. I couldn't believe it. Cathe's incredible isn't she Michelle? You met her at the roadtrip.

Kathy Sis, Missed you a bunch! Oh dear, still sick...was hoping you were OK. Seems you are doing better now. Good! Great job on Sat. Xtrain chest and shouylders and Rapid Fire #1 abs. Sundays Cardio leg Blast 1-6 premix and Mon. BB (arms). Do be sure to listen to your body if you are still sick. You don't want to have a relapse.
From our clams I make lots of chowder, and clam strips. I use the left over almonds from milking almond milk to use on clam strips. mmmmm, they are very good that way. Wow! How nice of Cathe to send you a top. Amazing person for sure.

Last night I was just way too tired to do a workout. Slept from 9 to 5:30 a.m. which is unheard of for me. I guess I needed it. Tonight I'll be back at BB (Back) & the abs from BB. I'm finally feeling like my old self again. :)

Janie Sis: Your so sweet for missing me. I wish I was retired already & could walk along the beach every day just like you. :) Enjoy your clams!

Hi everyone. Yesterday was my break day, today I picked up with the second workout of week 2 of the Oct rotation: X-10 step (warm-up and step portion only) and Great Glutes. Kind of like a double-whammy workout. Tomorrow is one of the Gym Style upper body workouts.

Janie: don't get lost in a clam chowder cloud out there in Washington. It sounds like you could be at risk of doing so. How is the new approach to eating going? Obviously, you are eating a lot of clams.

Kathy: I was started to worry that we might have lost you from our group. Sorry to hear that you have been seriously under the weather, but I'm kind of relieved at the same time. I don't know how you manage to exercise when you are feeling so badly. I'm in "wash my hands like crazy" mode to help fight the various germs that seem to start circulating this time of year. Having met Cathy a number of times, I can totally believe that she went to the store, bought the top, and sent it to you. That sounds just like her. It amazes me how thoughtful she is (also very inspirational). Exactly what brand are they wearing in the new videos? I might have to go to Dick's as well. LOL!

The brands they're wearing are Under Armour, Lucy, Lululemon & Nike. I found the Lucy tanks at Dicks, however, can't find the blue top & capris that Cathe's wearing. That's the outfit that I want. I've searched everywhere. Maybe I should email Cathe & have her send the outfit to me. LOL
 
This week has gotten away from me! Had a busy and active weekend and this week has been the same. Lots of raking (nice way to exercise and enjoy the fresh air), Monday was PiYo Sculpt, Tuesday was P90X3 Agility X, Wed morning was PiYo Core, Wed night was X10 Step, and tonight will be P90X3 CVX and cleaning. I've been doing some organization around the house and that's been great, always more to do but I'm making a dent. Lots of baking also, I roasted about 8 pumpkins and have a lot of puree now :) so it's pumpkin time at my house.

Kathy - How awesome she sent you a top, I'd cherish it forever :) I hope the sleep helped you out and great job letting yourself get what you needed.

Janie - You are in clam heaven! Have you received PiYo yet? I can't wait to hear what you think about it. As always, beautiful work!

Michelle - Way to make it all the way through Party Rockin Step! I love when I can see my improvements :)
