GETTING IT DONE January 2016 - January 2020

Happy Monday!

Yesterday, DH and I realized that the 5K that we do with our friends every mid-July is only 4 months away. Wih that in mind, I ran/walked for 30 minutes tonight. My aerobic capacity is zero at this point, so I so do have my work cut out for me. I think I'll be able to blend running with the CrossFit training that DH and I are doing together, and fill in the time with some Cathe. Definitely pulling the exercise part of the plan together.

The diet part still needs work. Tonight DH ade pasta- which is fine for him, but goes straight to my hips! Yes, better planning to be done here.

Belinda - Good for you sticking to your plan! Did you measure those arms yet? ;)

Completely worn out from CrossFit tonight - 200m run, thrusters then jump rope - 4 rounds. From Sunday's wo and last night's run, my glutes had no thrust in them!

Belinda - Good job - on the workout and measureing your arms. ;)

Today did a very brisk walk with the dogs, and followed that up with BBL High & Tight - easy work for the tush. Rest of me doing ok - just tired tonight - so hitting the hay early.

Belinda - hope you enjoyed your rest day.

Afternoon!

Well I finally got something in this week.
TM interval run 2.36 miles 37 min.

Not sure if I told you about the ear infection thing and then losing my hearing. Well on the 10th I was put on an antibiotic for 10 days.
By the 18th I woke up in a head to toe rash! EEK! Itched like crazy too. Stopped all meds. which meant I was only on it for 8 days total.
Went to see my Doc and then an ear specialist.

Long and short: I am now on Flonaze and I hope that in the next 3 weeks the fluid in the middle ear will release its self. Argh!
It may take longer the Doc said but will check me in 3 weeks to see how things are progressing.

Rash is now flat and not itching. I sure hope this doesn't leave me scared. I look like a spotted leopard or something.

Well that's my week so far. LOL!

Heidi - I am doing much better as long as I rest my knee. How are you doing? Good job on that run. Hope the meds will help with your ears.

Tonight at CF was mostly rowing - rowing intervals, like rowing HiiT. Lots of calories burned on this one. Also got the dogs for a walk. Love these longer days when there's enough light to get it all in without putting the reflective gear on everyone. Yes, the dogs have reflective vests, too.

Heidi - Oh no! I do hope it all clears up. Did they suggest Benadryl or anything to help with the rash and itch? Impressed that you could to the TM and run. Hope you get better quick.

Belinda - Excellent job on yet another ubwo. The knee is still just a sprain, right? Hopefully it is starting to feel better.

Tomorrow is a rest day. Not sure if I'll check in. We have dinner plans with friends in the evening. So catch ya Saturday.

Sherry - rowing HiiT sounds like fun. Never done one of those. Fantastic job! I am getting an MRI done on my knee. I hope it's just a sprain.

Heidi - how are you feeling? Any better?

Hello and Good Morning!

Thanks Ladies! I am feeling better with the rash issue at least. Still can't hear but it will be awhile for that to clear.

Yesterday I did FitSplit Pull Day. Boy oh Boy I am feeling it today. :) All in a good way of course.

Plan for today is TM run/ also a walk if my Grandson comes over for a visit with my Son. :)

Sherry: I am with you on the longer days and having more time to enjoy the sun. :)
I took benedryl for the itching.
Nice job on your workout! I agree with Belinda on the rowing WO. That does sound fun!

Belinda: Awesome job on your Upper body workouts. Good luck on the knee!

Yesterday I did 4DS calves/shoulder and abs. Modified the calves a lot.

Heidi - I hope it clears up with meds soon. Good job with your workout yesterday. Hope you had fun with your grandson and son.

Happy Sunday!

Yesterday was an off day. DD had a ballroom competition, and she and her partner did extremely well. Looks like she's finally found a guy who also has a competitive spirit and is willing to put in the practice time. However, it involved sitting in bleachers for about 9 hours, which is excruciating. Good thing I love the kid.

Today was CF for DH and me. Great metabolic wo while working some serious weights. Completely depleted us, and that's a good thing, knowing how hard we worked.

Belinda - Great job on the 4DS! Have you heard back on the MRI results?

Heidi - Glad you are feeling good enough to get in wo's, and at least the itching is down.

Lots of house stuff to get done, so need to get rolling on that. Have a good one, and back tomorrow.

Happy Tuesday!

Yesterday was supposed to be a yoga day. DH went out for a run, and when he got back, we planned to do it. However, while he was out, I "needed to rest a few minutes". Needless to say, when he got home, I was out, and there was no moving me for awhile. think the weekend activities caught up to me. ;)

Today was much better - went to CF as planned. Worked on front squats today, and how heavy we could go. I do find the front ones to be some much tougher. Kept adding on the weight until I got to a 1RM that I couldn't do. Getting stronger and loving it.

Belinda - Keep up the great work! Hope all is well and you are on the road to recovery.

CF tonight consisted of intervals of jumping rope and walking lunges. Cardio wise, it just about did me in. Understandably completely exhausted at the end.

I forgot to check in yesterday. I did SBF core with the ball. That one was tough. Today I went to DC and got my hair done and spent time with my kids. Had a great day.

Sherry - amazing workouts the last few day's.

Happy Saturday!

Yesterday I was off work, so went to CF with DH in the morning, got my hair done (too), ran errands and went out to dinner with DH. But it was fairly early to bed because 2 CF classes that close together wore me out.

This morning I went to ballet, but boy was I stiff. Should have really stretched last night and done some yoga.

Belinda - You deserved that rest day, and a fun day with your kids. Glad you enjoyed it.

A lot to get done today, so need to get moving. Have a good one!
