George Foreman grill...

One of the best inventions to come down the pike in recent memory. Me and DW are on our 3rd already..just grilled up some salmon for an early dinner before work.

Any other GFG believers out there?

Jerry

I agree. I also went thru 3 of them and this time I bought a T Fal grill from amazon and I like it better. It has a temperature control, comes apart for easy cleaning and so far the nonstick has held up better. Can't live without these little grills.

For me the George Foreman grill comes in handy for grilled cheese sandwhiches which my little girl loves!!! Only takes a few minutes and I never burn them!;-) I guess I should probably try some meet on it huh!!! :9 Salmon sounds delicious.

Other than shrimp, I really didn't care for seafood too much, simply because I couldn't get enough flavor. This summer, I found a terrific spice rub for fish that made all the difference in the world.

It has helped DW and I add more fish to our diets!

I "George" all the time. Mostly just the chicken breasts but one of my favorite less-clean things is to heat up some of my BF's sinful mashed potatoes (I avert my gaze as the ENTIRE stick of butter goes in the bowl) on it. It makes a little browned crust that is soooo delicious!

I have one of the older ones that doesn't come apart for cleaning and I do ok with it but I suppose I'll move up to one that has a temperature control, etc.

Sorry, I own the Aroma Health Grill featured on HSN. It's dishwasher safe, full covering, and doesn't need to be folded over. I got it a great price too. I love it!!

And, I'm the ONLY one in my family including sister and brother in-laws families that doesn't own a George Foreman Grill. They all swear by their GFGs and wouldn't get anything else.

Hi Jerry,

Would you mind sharing the name of the spice rub? My DH and I try to eat more fish, but neither of us are big fans, so anything that would help it taste better would be great!

Thanks in advance!

I love my GFG. I have the newer one with temperature control and the removable plates. I love it. It really helps me to eat healthy. I eat lots of chicken and fish.

We've never had one of these before, but now I'm considering getting one! I was just looking at Amazon, and there are so many different models. Can you all recommend the ones you like best?

Are the newer generation ones with the removable plates better? On Amazon, some of the reviews said they that do clean up a lot easier, but other reviews said that the easy clean-up comes at the expense of not grilling the food well enough.

TIA!
Leanne

I love my grill, even though I have the 3 burger one, the kids can even cook on it. Andrew loves making bacon and Katie hotdogs. I wish I could get the larger one with the interchangeable plates.
Kmart had a special with a waffle maker as well. I don't use the waffle maker that much, though.

I went through 4 in less than 2 years and when it was time for a new one, I bought a Cuisinart grill.....LOVE IT!!! But, essentially it's all the same idea, and they are awesome!!!!

I posted this earlier but I will say it again. I have had 3 GF grills and loved them all but I bought the T Fal and like it much better. It has a temperature dial, comes apart so you can immerse it in the sink to clean and is even dishwasher safe tho I haven't tried that. I think it is about $60 from amazon. The nonstick coating is also wearing much better. I found that a problem with the GF grills. Anyway I really couldn't do without it.

Leanne,

I bought the George Foreman GRP90WGP G5 Multi Removable Plate Grill. It has removable plates for grilling, waffles and baking. I have only used the grill plates though. It also have temperature control. It cleans up so easy. I have not had any problems with not grilling the food well enough. I really only make chicken, turkey burgers and fish and an sometimes a sandwich on it. All have turned out perfect. I really couldn't live without out.

I love my George! I'm getting ready to buy my 2nd--my first lasted almost 10 years but it's pretty well worn now. Thanks for this post, I had no idea there were so many options now! :)

Hi everyone,

Thanks for the input about which ones you like! I'm going to order one today! We're trying to increase our protein levels and I'm really squeamish about cooking meat, so hopefully this will make things easier!

Thanks so much!!
Leanne

Um, can you believe I've had a GF grill for 3 years now and have used it maybe, hmmmm, lets see....twice? Yep. I'm that lazy.
