Today I will do 4DS Cardio Power premix #9 (KB & BC DVD) + Muscle Max ab work and maybe 20 min. yoga!! My legs are so sore, I need a nice stretch:D

Hoping to squeeze in a good workout today. I need to get a good cardio workout in and legs from yesterday. I didn't get cardio in yesterday but I wasn't suppose to anyway:eek:

I went out with the girls last night for supper...had a great night! The girls sitting across the table from me kept asking about my workouts b/c they noticed how toned my arms are:eek: I don't really like people asking me those kinds of questions cause when they do, everyone else decided to turn and listen as well. One of my friends wants me to train her after Christmas...should be interesting. It probably won't even happen actually. She as 3 small kids and a busy life...while I work shift work and have a 2 yr old...won't be easy to get together.

Anyway...I will come back later and report my workout!

Good morning everyone 4DS KB/BC cardio done this morning. Thank goodness. I had to leave off the last 3 rounds of BC because I was running out of time. Will do MM abs tonight.

Anyway have a great weekend everyone. Enjoy the snow!!!!
 
I did the KB/BC cardio premix this morning and MM abs. For the last 3 bootcamp drills, I was hurting! I hate that one where you hold on to the step and hop back and forth over it. I know I don't keep my knees in tight- shoot, I'm lucky to get through it! And MM abs kicks my butt.

Hmm, sounds like I'm complaining but I'm not! I am enjoying my cardio days much more now that I'm not doing them all the time. :) Have a great day ladies!
 
Well DH apparently decided before he went to bed to unset his alarm and not even try to get to work this morning. I thought it was set and woke up and kept laying there wondering when it would go off and finally looked and saw it was almost 6:30. So, to finish up my workout and be able to get into the flow of my day, I just did the 4DS Boot Camp Cardio and MM abs.

All the schools here are closed today and we're supposed to get some more snow this morning. So far it looks like we're on the low end of the predictions. Not sure if I'll get out today or not.
 
Good Morning,

I will do BM2 timesaver MM abs and instead of doing back and biceps tomarrow I will do those tonite and then do chest, tris and shoulders tomarrow since I still haven't done those. Did the leg work and was feeling it at the time but I don't feel it today.

Debbie-why does my back hurt after the leg presses am I doing something wrong any suggestions?

We here in Kansas have ice on top of 4 inches of snow driving to work ought to be interesting.
 
Snow day

Well - I am snowed in today. I did get up and do the cardio premix this morning. I followed that up with shoveling snow for more than a hour. (needed to clear the drive so my hubbie could pull in when he got home) I'm cold and pooped now. I will do abs and maybe some stretching afterwards.

My hrm was not working properly this morning and ticking me off! I knew I should have opted for a pricier one. sigh.

I bummed myself out last night because I cracked and ate a bunch of chips and salsa. I should know better. They weren't even that good.

I hope everyone stays safe and dry today! We’re supposed to get freezing rain and snow later in the day. I still haven’t grocery shopped so I have to get out there and do it on the way home!

Yesterday I did the 4DS Leg premix (that has the calf section) + the step segment of SJP. I didn’t feel up to doing the floor work on B&G so I’ll tack it on tomorrow’s workout.

I’m also swapping out today’s and tomorrow’s workouts. I did the back & bicep mix from Gym Styles (twice….yikes!) this morning. This weekend I have to do a longer run of 8 miles so I’ll tack on the Muscle Max abs I missed this morning.

The noticed the premixes on the Hard Core series are kind of choppy and there isn’t enough transition time between exercises. One second Cathe has a 25 lb. dumbbell doing rows and the next second she’s standing holding a 35 lb. barbell, lol. I just kept hitting “back” to restart when there wasn’t enough time. Oh, and I’m so happy to say I matched Cathe on the weights both times through, yay!

LEGS
Round 1
Squats (warmup): 50# - lots of reps and different counts

Front Squats w/wedge: 60# - 2 sets/12 reps
Dumbbell Deadlifts: 25's - 2 sets/different reps and counts

Round 2
Dumbbell Plie Squats: 25# - 1 sets/16 reps; 40# - 1 set/16 reps

I really wasn’t feeling like I was working to my potential and needed more so I went back to beginning and repeated those exercises with heavier weight.
Squats-70#
Front Squats-70#
Db Deadlifts-30#
Db Plies Squats-35#

Leg Press: 25# - 2 sets/12 reps

Round 3
Low Plain Lunges: 15's - 2 sets/10 reps

Leg Press w/Ankle Weights: 20# DB & 5# AW - 2 sets/12 reps

Round 4
Step Outs w/Purple Band the repeated and did it with my Silver Band

Squats: 70# - tons of reps w/different counts

Then I did the Butts & Guts floor work stopping at Pizza Press and added in Firewalkers w/medium band and bonus Glute Squeezes…

Good morning and happy Friday! I ended up doing KCM's new boot camp this morning with kettlebell swings where her weight work was. Good and fun! I wanted to do the squeeze stronger waist and abs work, which is a bit longer, and I was running out of time, so the last few rounds I skipped the swings and went right from cardio drill to next cardio drill. I liked her drills -- a bit different from Cathe, so a nice change. That squeeze stronger waist/ab work is really good!

Good morning everyone!!!

Today was suppose to be an hour of cardio but I woke up with a headache and low back pain from yesterday's workout. I stretched out a bit and felt a little better so I decided to do a half hour of cardio and then do the calf and ab work that I didn't do yesterday. Worked out good, my legs and low back loosened up and I feel better now.

I chose Cardio Coach #3 and did really well with it. Pushed myself and that felt great.

Cardio stats:
35 minutes
29 minutes in zone
208 calories burned
2.1 miles travelled


Then I did the Calf work from 4DS Shoulders and the Ab work from Cardio & Weights.

Total stats:
55 minutes
34 minutes in zone
291 calories burned


I want to be snowed in!!!! Dammit, we didn't get anything but FREAKIN' RAIN!!!! I'm so sick of rain!!!! :mad:

Roxie - You may be using too many risers for leg presses. Try using one less and see how you feel.

Yes! The snow is heading for us, 12-14 inches expected (I'm in Mass.)! My boys are crazy excited, PLUS they canceled school for today. And it hasn't even STARTED snowing at 11:30am! Lucky kids!

I did 4DS: Bootcamp and MM Abs. BC kicks my butt every time! After "suicides" , my DH looked at me and said, "You don't look so good, honey". :p MM Abs had me moaning a bit too, the Jackknifes into ins-and-outs... OH MY!

Sorry your head and back hurt, Debbie. I have had bad sinus headaches this past week, and they're no fun...

I just finished the 4DS Chest, Shoulders, Tricep premix - TWICE! :eek: OMG! I skipped the triceps push up the second time around and also on a few of the rounds I couldn't squeak out the last rep or 2 the second time around either (and I was too lazy to drop my weights). My arms are tired! I swear they are still shaking that I can hardly type!:D
 
Wow...I usually don't do kickboxing for cardio so this "Cardio Power" premix was a real challenge for me. I did really well with the kicking and bootcamp portions, but failed miserably when it came to punching. I simply couldn't think fast enough to get my punches out as fast as Cathe. I hope I will improve with practice because I felt a bit frustrated with myself. Someone please tell me I can improve and there is still hope. Should I do a slower cardio kickbox or one that doesn't require as much brain-arm coordination? Any recommendations. Help!

Hey Robin, do you have Cardio Kicks? It is one of Cathe's earliest (maybe the earliest, I'm not sure) kickboxing workout. It reminds me a bit of hi/lo during a few segments. Anyway, she does some simple punching drills at the end that might help you get used to the speed of the movements. If my memory is correct (and I think we just did this workout in the rotation), they aren't complex punch combinations at all. HTH!
 
Hey Girls,

Just finished my workout. I did 20 mins on the TM and Cardio Power Premix. I was going to do the leg workout I missed yesterday but Im not into it. I think its to hot in the basement and its zapping my energy. I opened the window but then the snow started drifting in:confused: so I closed it again. Hopefully I will get a leg workout in tomorrow or on my rest day, of course, it doesn't help that I hate working legs! LOL

Hello Everyone :)

It's snowing like crazy here in N.J. too. I am soo glad I'm home on vacation this week.

I got in a great cardio workout today. KCM's new Kickbox workout. I did W/O 1 & 2 combo, and the 14 Minute Core section. That was a fun workout.

Enjoy the snow all of you who are getting this wintry blast :)
