I feel your frustations, while I have never had problems with Dvd's I have had problems with multidisk plays and I refuse to buy another multidisk player because I tried it twice and I ended up taking them both back. Besides, I have to get up after each movie anyway, I just can't sit that long.:7
I think if you bought something that is defective, it should be replaced and I do remember seeing a lifetime guarantee on the Cathe home page. I don't know if its still there, but I remember seeing it when they first changed the look of the home page.
To me, I don't care if its a $5 DVD or a $40 DVD, if I paid for it and it is defective, I would expect to have it replaced...like you said it is just good business sense. Hang in there, I have a feeling that SNM will do right by you.
