Does anyone else hate hi-lo?

I tried doing some hi-lo today after not doing any for like a year. Now I remember why I stopped. That constant jumping around makes me feel awkward and just, I don't know, annoyed somehow. I so prefer step, bootcamp-style, kickboxing, treadmill, anything but straight floor aerobics. Thank goodness there's so many other choices nowadays!!

Yup, I'm not a fan. I enjoy running or step or something like that. Otherwise, I feel like I'm just jumping around my living room, and that just seems goofy! :p

I'm not a huge fan either, but I do it occasionally. I feel like a big spaz.

Peter: Oh my god, Brian, there's a message in my Alphabits. It says, 'Oooooo.'
Brian: Peter, those are Cheerios.

Oooohhh I can't stand doing hi-lo. I'd rather run or step or kickbox! I feel like a dork and it reminds me of the 20 minute workout....fo mo, three mo...

Yeah, no fun for me. I feel like a dork and it's just really hard to do. Plus some areas jiggle painfully.

Hate it too...Who thought of "sashays" (sp) anyway?!? I always feel like I am hopping around like a maniac...but not as gracefully as the dancer in "Flashdance"!!!

I do it once in a great while, but like you all am not wild about it. I think because it reminds me too much of "back in the day" when aerobics was just startin out...ooo I guess THAT dates me:p

Yup. I do, too. It makes my sternum hurt, I guess b/c the tempo is faster than with step or KB. I rather loathe it and will do most anything to avoid it, lol. That said, I've forced myself to do MIC a grand total of twice and I have yet to do SJ&P all the way through. I'm glad Cathe doesn't have too much of it, and I'm a cardio junkie and LOVE step, KB, drills, etc.

yep.

i found my heart rate didnt go up as much, and i never got a great workout. spent too much time looking at the counter to see when the workout will end.

too much out there to waste time on hi-lo.

I used to hate Hi/Lo, but now I really like it! I don't know what changed for me...I just really like how it challenges my whole being.

I find it to be harder on my body than step, kickboxing, or even plyo type jumping, so I don't do it very often.

Give me any step routine anyday!!! I can do it without too much difficulty, but hi-lo? Fuggettaboutit!!! It just doesn't happen! I trip over my feet and feel like I have just grown a third left foot!!!

I don't like it either. I wish I liked it more as it would offer a break from stepping. I'd rather walk on the dreadmill than do hi/lo.

I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't like it either. I feel silly. I was doing a workout with hi/lo in it and my husband came home. He walked past me in the middle of it and I smacked him right in he head:eek: !Oops! I told him he walked into my arm. I'm sure I looked ridiculous bouncing all around the living room.

I'd like to find a hi-lo that I really like (not so much "hi," but lots of intensity using big ROM and maybe a med ball for upper body intensity). I don't like jumping around on the floor at all (except for some plyo work like P90X). I definitely don't like it when it's 'dancy."

I kind of like Amy Bento's new hi-lo workout, but she annoys me a couple of times when she adds on without notice, doing a move we've learned, then putting on a whole series of stuff I can't follow as she introduces it. (I wanted to smack her when she did that!).
