Oh Laura, I say go for it. I think these are the only ones out of all of my Cathe videos and I have them all that I use. I just did the PUB/PLB total body workout this morning but of course this is 1 of the premixes from the dvd. I think that this series is so intense. I guess that is why it is called the IS Series, LOL.

Thank you... I was just thinking if I would of read further down, there was a post by someone debating between CTX & " I " Series....
Thank you so much =)

I love the IS. There's a ton of good, tough ab work in them, the cardio sections are intense (save for the Cardio & Weights and believe me, you need the break!) I really love the variety - there is so much! You could probably mix and match these really easily if you get the dvds. You can if you have vhs but it's more difficult (that's what I have and I wish I had dvd).

I really enjoy the CTX series too - later perhaps you can invest in those. I love it for when I have really busy weeks coming up - each tape is 45 minutes - 1 hour and you get a full work out in.

:)

I don't think you could go wrong with the whole Intensity series. The Pyramids, Bootcamp and Imax2 stand out as my most favorites. I eventually got the Terminator DVD as it uses parts of Imax2, Cardio & Weights, Bootcamp and Muscle Endurance for 3 longer, circuit style workouts. The Pyramids have given very good results, and is a great weight training technique. ...good luck...:)...Carole

They're all great. I never use Cardio and Weights, but I do sometimes pop in the abs section. And I like the CW all step premix for a warmup to a leg workout. If I were using VHS though, I would probably not get CW. It's kinda too easy.

Mogambo, I'm with you, C&W isn't one of my favorites. Either too easy or the music. But the ab portion is great. On the Terminator DVD, in one of the workouts Imax Extreme. It is 2 int from Imax2 then a cardio and one of the weight segments form C&W then you repeat a number of times. I usually substitue Rythmic Step for the C&W portions...:(...but the rest of Intensity is awesome!...Carole

I love ALL the ones I've tried. I haven't tried IMAX2 or BOOTCAMP yet, but I love the rest. I just recently previewed IMAX2 again thinking I would give it a try this week, but I am such a klutz with footwork...still it looks like fun, so I may give it a whirl anyway.

Edited to add: I credit PUB/PLB and Muscle Endurance for breaking a little plateau I was on and I've definitely seen improvement in both strength and endurance since starting these workouts.

Personally, I love C&W. The less intense workout hits the spot for me. Cathe has so many intense workouts that this is a great change of pace. Don't get me wrong, it is intense, just not as intense as her others. There is no dread factor in this workout for me, which is what I love about it. And the music is great. I especially love the ab section which is not only intense but the song is great. I sing THAT song all day after I've done this routine.

I have to admit that I've had the intensity series since it came out and I have never done Imax2. I don't care for Cardio and Weights type workout. It's funny, but I find myself doing CTX, PS series or PH more than any other Cathe tapes. I like PUB, but found PLB a pain to keep changing the weights on the barbell all the time. I'd constantly be pausing the VCR so it made the workout longer than it was.

Cardio & Weights always puts me in a good mood. :) It may be a tad less intense than the other IS workouts, but is still intense enough to get the heartrate up and get a great, sweaty workout.

I love all of Cathe's Intensity Series! I have the DVD's and they are terrific! I use them all the time! Great results too!

I love all of them too! Cardio & Weights I usually do on a day when my energy level is not quite up to snuff, but it's fun.

Like others, I too love every single tape in the Intensity Series. I think this series along with CTX are Cathe's best!

The only Intensity workout I don't like or do is BC. I've watched this workout about three times already, and I know I've done most of the exercises in there, which should make BC doable. I am not into full-body workouts and do circuit-type workouts only when I have extra flab to whittle. Other than that, I stick to good, old-fashioned split workouts.:)

Yes, most definately, I love them all!

The Intensity Series is my first and only Cathe workouts. These have a huge fun factor, and never boring. Cathe is very pleasant, joyful while working hard. The music is upbeat and motivating. The length of the workouts is perfect for me. Furthermore, these dvds are chaptered to the max so the possibilities with premixes and programming are endless.

I plan to do these workouts for a long time. I've owned this series on dvd for only two weeks, so it's too soon to comment on results.

I, like you, was aprehensive at first about purchasing these workouts. My reasons were because they are expensive, compared to some other workouts, and I had barely heard of Cathe prior to FitTV.

But I eventually took the plunge...and I am so glad I did. They are worth every penny!

The only 2 I don't do is BC, for some reason I don't like that workout and IMAX 2 because I have trouble with learning choreography unless it is very basic. (Hopefully that will change when I get the new DVD's!!)

You gotta try boot camp from this series. Muscle endurance is alsogood, as is cardio & weights, which is kind of like the firm tapes. But you have to get boot camp!
