Did BC x 2...

Okay, I did it out of curiosity. Just wanted to see IF I could do it, and how I’d feel while going through it.

I did BC warm-up, 8 cycles + 8 cycles, cool-down. It took 1 hour, 53 minutes. I burned 944 calories total, 35% of them from fat.

Used a 35-lb. bb, a 15-pounder, 12s, 10s and 8s. Modifications: did airborne jumps instead of airborne jacks, and went down from 35 to a pair of 12s by the second go-round on static lunges. I was very winded on that cycle and didn’t want to put a bb on my back. I was scared of losing my balance and falling over with 35 lbs. on my spine. Other than that, I did the workout as is.

I started feeling like I was hitting the wall by the start of the second fourth cycle, which was about 1 hour, 20 minutes into the workout.

Next time I do this, I’m going to eat starchy carbs an hour before. I had two servings of beef and veggies. TWO. Also did that just out of curiosity. I had a feeling just veggies for carbs would affect me in a not-so-good way (I’d feel it fast, and soon) even though I doubled my servings.

This was an experiment. Yes, you can try it at home. I did it and so can you. Just feed yourself before you do.

No, I am not resting after this. I need to shuttle my kiddo to his gymnastics class. Time for HIS workout. My day's FAR from over.

whoo hoo! Go Pinky :) I'm going to give this one a try soon, too!

Hey Pinky,
Thanks for sharing!! GREAT JOB, and happy to hear that you are planning a next time:7 Bootcamp is one of my favorite circuits, but the thought of doing it back to back made me think "do I really wnat to do it twice"??? After reading your post it makes me think "Okay it's not that bad I can do it":D

Thanks,
~Nicole

Yowsa! I'm impressed! Now you're making me want to do it just to prove that I can. Oh man, I'm way too competitive. LOL

Wow, Pinky. That's great. I've been trying to decide if I'll do BC back to back, or split it into two different workouts.

I decided last night that I'll need to add more starchy carbs to my diet this month if I'm going to do this rotation. Generally I don't eat too many of them, but if ever I cut too far back my energy level is too low to put in a really good, energetic workout.

Thank you for be our BC guinea pig. ;)

Congrat's Pinky, way to go, I have already started to add in more carbs and protein into my diet for this rotation, I usually don't do rotations except for my own, but this one is just a little bit more advance then what I've been doing so, I figured why not. ;-)

DANG, girl, you are my idol!! Just reading the August rotation was increasing my heart rate to dangerous levels so I'm going to do the March Fat Loss Rotation and watch in awe as all you diehard crazy people (crazy in a good way, of course) make mincemeat out of this rotation and become stronger because of it! Someday I may attempt it.....

Way to go PinkY! You Rock! And thanks telling us to eat first! I know the last time I did BC 2 weeks ago when we all did it, when I started I didn't want to move. But by the time I was done, I felt like I could do it again! So here's hoping!

Great Job Pinky! Thanks for testing this out for us. I wasn't sure how I was going to do this (AM and PM or all together), but I guess I'll do it the way you did.
I'll remember to eat some oatmeal, protein powder and PB before I tackle this one.

Hey Pinky way to go! This is the one part of the rotation that I can't stop thinking about. I know how I feel after one time go around. So, you really think to eat before you work out (an hour before)? I would have to get up at 4A. Maybe I'll switch BC x2 until after dinner. My dh will have to watch the kids though. Hmm, I'll have to think about this.

How hungry were you after that work out?! I'll be thinking of you next week.

Thanks for inspiring us.

Wow, your brave! I am going to do Boot Camp twice too, but I will take your advice and eat more of the carbs beforehand. I think I am going to KPC twice...that would be fun too, huh? Plus I would love to burn the extra calories.

Way to go Pinky!!!

I did Boot Camp twice last night and it wasn't soo bad. I was getting tired on the second round after those power kicks. I also had a harder time getting through the upper body the second time around because of all the slacking on upper body weight training, but I pushed through and it is definetely doable...

How are you feeling today? I am wondering how sore I will get, or if I will even get sore.

Beverly

Thanks, all. Beverly! You did it, too! Alright!}(

My legs are sore today. I don't know if my core and upper body will start feeling sore later, right now they aren't but they might bite later.:) Not bad. I did this on a day where I wasn't feeling all that, and by the time I started feeling like I was hitting the wall, I kept telling myself "one more cycle, one more cycle..." over and over until I was done. It's all in the mind, right? I finished the second round of terminators, all of them, thinking of Alana (Alhambra) in her American Idol presentation the whole time.:) She was amazing! I was even able to go up from 8s to 10s on those last rounds of triceps and biceps, something I didn't expect I could make happen.

How hungry was I? Well, I downed a protein shake ASAP (200 calories) and slowly munched on a serving of soy nuts after that (190 calories). While at my son's gymnastics class an hour and a half later, I ate a power bar (210 cal) and my very late dinner around 9:30 last night had about 400 calories worth of food. I wanted to get back what I burned since I'm not really looking to lose anything. I woke up at 3 a.m. feeling a bit hungry, hungry enough for a small snack, but I drank bottled water instead (the whole bottle at my bedside) and went back to sleep. If I had skipped dinner, I would've been ravenous and wouldn't have been able to go back to bed with just water in my system.

I'm learning things about myself from yesterday's trial run. It was great playing guinea pig. I knew those veggies wouldn't cut it, I just had to prove it to myself. I've already done that for heavy weight training and wanted to see how far such food would take me when doing circuits. Oh... when you guys do this, maybe you should repeat the stretch, too. Looking back, I think I should've done that as well.

Pinky

Congratulations on doing BCx2. I'm looking forward to it. I was so excited when I read the rotation for this month as I love a challenge. I did the first day today and did extra pushups on the end (all straight legged). The added jumping jacks gave me extra energy. I did them just before the powercircuit to "I need a Hero"...which doesn't quite have the right beat but it definitely energized me.

Thanks for your kind words about doing the terminators. The energy from the Catheites really inspired me to go for it.
