Oh my, GS is kicking my butt this week! DH and I are so sore, every morning we ask each other, "what are we training for"? We did all three workouts in three days and upped our weights. DS and I are still doing one body part per day, and yesterday we did the biceps from LIHI, and that section rivals the GS biceps section. I did Imax 3 yesterday in the a.m. Today will be KM and I think I'll have DS do the lower body portion of BC, as my upper body is fried! I'm going to stick with doing a different series for cardio each week. Tomorrow will be LM.
Diana, England sounds fantastic! Will you be going to other countries in the future? Sounds like you're making some great friendships in your travels. Way to stick to your workouts too, that's not easy when you're away from home.
Beth, I'm with you on the hour long workouts. It feels like a cheat if it's too short. We did CBS last week and DH used the step instead of the ball. He has to be really careful with his shoulder too. You should have heard us whining during GS BSB last night, we sounded like two grumpy seniors; "oh my back, ouch my wrist, Cathe is evil". DH has to drop his weights during crazy eights, I had him laughing so hard with my whining.
What are you reading for book group this month. We're doing two, one I just finished called The True Story of Hansel and Gretel (I highly recommend NEVER reading this book) and the other is The Book of Unknown Americans, which so far is really good.
LL, the worst feeling in the world is a missing child. We lost our DD in Disney for 10 minutes when she was little. I still don't like to think about it. I hope your DH is all healed up from his surgery. Dry sockets are a nightmare!
DD's puppy went in to be neutered yesterday. They told her to call at two, and when she did they put her on hold for a long time and then the doctor picked up the line and said they didn't think he was going to make it, he wasn't breathing on his own and they would know more in 48 hours. Of course we jumped in the car to go see him and I asked her to call them back and make sure we could see him. Again she was put on hold for 10 minutes (DD is near breaking down) and they finally pick up the line and tell her "whoops, our lines were crossed when you called, Owen is fine and you can pick him up at four". Owen is now curled up on my feet, chewing his Kong, like nothing ever happened.
