Curious Question?

Not me...I thought about it, but I have a bad knee so I don't think I'll be doing too many squats with heavy weights.

Hey Tneah!

I'm still thinking about it . . . . I looked into getting those portable stands, but they're back ordered until early June.

At this point, if I have to choose between a squat rack and the new pull-up tower, I'll probably go with the pull-up tower, but I'm going to see if I have room for both.:)

I would love to have a squat rack, but we have some cybex equipment taking up space in my gym because according to DH "it looks good"x( I never use these machines-a delt raise and a shoulder press...he never does, so if we removed them I would have plenty of space. But as it is, no space, no squat rack, hum....unless I get rid of that stupid fluidity bar I never use and currently has all of my exercise bands hanging from it/:)

I actually bought a bench with a separate rack. It's the Gold's Gym from Wal-Mart. I had to modify the rack so it would fit my bar. It came with an olympic size, I had my dad cut it down. It works great.

I'm not. I can't squat with that much weight anyway because of knee issues. I am probably going to go with the weighted vest.

DH and I are probably going to give the pull up tower a try when it's available, though.

I'm not. I'm looking foward to the plyo legs. I think that one will really give me the results I want for my legs. So for me a squat rack is something I don't have any desire for.

Nope. I never liked putting that much weight on my back anyway, even when I worked out at the gym. I much preferred the leg press. I may do the weight vest, at some point, however.

Hi Tneah! You could use your Fluidity Bar for modified pull-ups/chin ups unless you're at a more advanced level! I thought about it but gave mine away instead:7

I ordered a Power Tower off of Amazon! I cannot wait to get it! It was only $129.00. It has the pull-up station, push-up bars and I can do dips and ab work on itx(

I am 99% inclined to get two stand-alone squat stands which I will also use for barbell chest work and maybe shoulders (if there are barbell overhead presses). First, they're cheaper than a regular squat rack, and second, you can put them away if you need the space.

Chris.

Chris, where are you getting these racks that you can put away after you are done?

I love to squat, there really is nothing like it to work that butt and round it out. I have a "white girl's bootay";) if left to its own devices, it would appear as a long rectangle thing hanging off the back of my thighs.;)

I got the gold's gym set from walmart with the bench and squat rack / bench press. I LOVE it. I will probably try out the plyo DVD too thought just to see what that's all about.

I was looking at it and it looks great! Too bad we don't have Gold's equipment here... :-(

I will definitely have a go at the Plyo-Weights option, as well as the squat rack leg workout.

Chris.
