Good Morning girls;)

I just finished today's recovery workout and will now check in.

Here's today's workout:

Turbo Fire- Low HiiT 20= 20 Min
MV= 7.50
CB= 205

PiYo- Drench= 48 Min
MV= 7.0
CB= 459

Yes, PiYo Drench did live up to its name, big time. Wow, never thought I'd get so sweaty from that sort of workout but man it hit all areas and left me Drenched, LOL!! Good stuff though, glad I got PiYo as a stretching and alternative workout for recovery, just as a break from intense stuff or whatever or even as an add-on. PiYo can be used for lots of different needs I can see this being one to use alot. Well, I had a good recovery day workout I wanted it to be shorter and work on stretching and this dd. Have a great blessed day girls.;)

Belinda- No worries on changing up a workout and doing something else instead. I do that no worries just do what you can and whatever feels right. Nice workout today with JS Belly, Buns & Thights = 15 min + Fat Burning Cardio =30 min and 10 min abs I think you got everything you needed to do in a very efficient timely manner. Great for you, way to go girlfriend!!! You are awesome, now go spread some of that around and have a great blessed day!;)

Debbie- Good for you listening to your body and resting today and skipping cardio if your knee is not feeling it. I like that you are playing it safe and allow your knee the time it needs to heal and feel better. Way to workout smarter, Take care and enjoy your day.;):)

Chris- sorry to you are having problems with one of your sons. I hope everything will workout for the best and all will be well with him. I'll pray for him and for you to allow the best possible outcome from all of this. Take care girlfriend. Roxie- Hey great job on your 1.88 mile walk yesterday. Sorry that your still having some pain and issues that won't allow you to run. I think its best you don't run given the pain and stuff so just walk in the mean time. You may want to consider seeing a doctor to find out what is causing this and get it taken care or or at least find out what's going on. Take care of your leg/knees not sure which it is but be careful. Have a blessed day and be well.;)

Hi Girls...

I just read through all your workouts for the last few days, you guys ROCK! Seriously!

Debbie, I'm doing Xtrain weights this month too, and really am enjoying the workouts. When I did Body Beast , the program emphasized doing heavy weights and very little cardio. In fact, in the muscle building rotation, there's NO cardio. In the Lean Rotation, there's ONE day of cardio a week. That one cardio is like a metabolic weight (light weight) workout. Maybe you could concentrate on the weights and just throw in one low impact/high intensity cardio a week? Cathe has some excellent low impact/high intensity workouts. Just a thought. I had good results from doing that, actually. And then it would give your knee a rest.

Belinda, nice job with JS , you did EVERYTHING instead of just tabata. WIN WIN! right?

Roxie, Sorry to hear your leg is bothering you still. Is it just one leg? was it always just one leg? KCM has great upper body focused cardios and weight workouts if they bother you.

Nora, Congrats on finishing CLX!!!! That's awesome!! Did you see any results or changes? That's one workout series I've always been on the fence with. But I hear such good things about it. .... Glad you are enjoying PIYO

Oh, Belinda, I just ordered the new workouts in DVDs. I really don't have a good place to use my computer to work out with. So I never get the downloads.

And today I did Xtrain Chest Back Shoulders + Core #1. ...

Thanks for all the nice words and prayers for my son. He really is a good kid, but peer pressure and curiosity get the best of him. Plus he's a little bit of a thrill seeker, AND the middle child. Never good combos.

I walked 1.90 miles tonite and did my planks at work.

Chris-yes its the inside of the left calf. I am trying to train for a Color Run 5K in September but at this rate I think I am going to be out 35.00.

Nora-I called the doctors office and they said it should have been less painful by now and I should probably see someone they also suggested stretching before my attempt to run.

Belinda-good job with your workout.

Today I did Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's and had a great workout. I had an excellent workout and upped my weights a bit.

This is what I did:

BICEPS
Dumbbell Curls - 21's - 1 set 10 reps; 20's - 2 sets 10 & 12 reps was my failure set
Simultaneous Rotational Curls - 15's - 1 set 10 reps; 2 sets 16's - 10 & 12 reps was my failure set
Concentration Curls - 22# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 11 reps
Hammer Curl Double Arm Crazy 8's - 12's - 24 reps

TRICEPS
Tricep Pushups - 3 sets (Love these!)
Lying Tricep Extensions - 12's - 1 set 10 reps; 13's - 10 & 11 reps
One Arm Kickbacks - 10# - 2 sets 10 reps; 3rd set 12 reps
Dumbbell Overhead Tricep Extension - 15# - Did all the reps and pulses Cathe did. Really felt it.

Can someone tell me why Greg is in these workouts? Have you all noticed how he's in the back hardly doing anything Cathe says to do? He is so focused on lifting as heavy as he can he looks like he's going to hurt himself. And when he does the warmups he just moves around like he's in slow motion. Why is he even in these workouts? Al at least does what Cathe instructs and does the warmup/cool downs correctly. Cracks me up.

Chris - I used to train like you did with BB all the time. I hardly did cardio and always got great results. My problem right now is other than upper body weights, I can't do lower body anything. My knee is feeling much better so I'm hoping by next week I can start again. As it is now I'm only doing two days of cardio. Weights has always been better for me versus cardio. I never lose weight or get toned by just cardio.

Roxie - I sure hope your leg gets better. Have you tried different shoes?

Belinda - Have a great workout with STS girl!

Nora - I'm just getting a bit frustrated with this knee thing. I just want to work my legs again. Nice workout as usual, girl! You rock!!! :)

I did Cathe's Total Body Trisets Upper Body Express, KCM's YBB Waistline and then walked 1.90 miles.

Debbie-I only own Asics and they are suppose to be the best for running but I am thinking about going to the running company. I also don't understand why Greg is in those workouts he has sloppy form and he looks bored.

Debbie- Wow, another amazing workout for you with Burn Sets Bi's & Tri's that was just inspiring. Sorry about your knee being a pain bugging you right now. Unfortunately these things have their own timeline to heal which makes it tough to know. Hang in there and just listen to your body. My right knee is still messed up from four months or so ago injury. As long as I don't have my weight on it as in doing pushups from knees etc its fine, doesn't hurt. So I avoid what hurts is all I do. Take care and be well.;):)

Today I did To The Max Triple Tabata. I have work tonight, so it was a good 30 minute quickie!

Belinda, thank you, my son is getting into football now and I am encouraging it. he just needs to be pushed in the right direction, I think. Good going with STS the last 2 days. Are you doing a rotation?

Debbie, Yes, now that you say that, you were always doing heavy weights and less cardio. I understand about the leg problem. How is your shoulder doing? that had bothered you to for a while, did it resolve?

Nora, Excellent job with Fat Blaster and PiYo today! I appreciate the good thoughts!!

Roxie, inside the calf doesn't sound like shin splints, you're right. I would say keep up with the stretches they told you to do. Do them 2-3 times a day at least. You are so dedicated to those planks! Your core must be getting so strong!
 
No workout today. Again, letting the knee get better. It is feeling good and I don't want to push my luck.

Chris - The shoulder is doing ok. It still have issues but I am not in pain and can seem to lift fairly heavy again so I am happy with that. I am very careful, if I feel any type of pinch or strain I stop. So so far, so good. :)

Nora - Knee is doing much better. I hope I'm good to go by next week. Nice workout yesterday! Sorry to hear you are still having issues with your knee.

Belinda - You should know me better by now! LOL! No, I haven't seen a doctor. It takes a lot to make me go see a doctor... :)

Roxie- LOL!!! on your comment about Greg. You are exactly right, he looks bored. I don't get why he's in these workouts? He lifts way too heavy and looks like he is on the border of injury. I don't get it. Hope you can figure out what is going on with your shin.

I banged my right already injured previously knee into a wooden chair oh boy did that hurt its swollen too. So I opted for no impact today to play it safe, not sure I can workout tomorrow or not may just rest.

Distance= 5.30 Miles

KCM 30MTF- Muscle Up 2B Fit- Workout #1= 28 Min
MV= 6.0

Wow, this was my first time with Muscle Up and its awesome love old school weight lifting. Two thumbs way up on this one Kelly's got a winner!

Total calories burned = 557;)

I'm not feeling up to doing individual personals. I will say that all of you are awesome and I enjoy our cyber friendship via cathe. Keep up the great job on your workouts and if its a rest day for you rest be well and enjoy. Have a blessed day!;):)

My leg was fine all day until the drive home then it started to hurt so I decided to do Turbo Jam 20 minute Cardio Party and it really hurt after so I guess I am just going to have to give up exercise and rest it I want to start running in 2 weeks.

Nora-take it easy with that knee.

Debbie-I don't know what Cathe was thinking, alot of people said she was mad at Alan so she hid him in the background but he is so much better then Greg.

I am still here I am in DC with my kids. Yesterday went to a beer tasting at the National Zoo in DC, we got free tickets. Aleisa and DS were working, while DH and tasted beer. I am not a big beer drinker A lot of beer had flavor (fruity) wasn't for me. Before the event DH and I walked around the zoo. We had so much fun. Not sure, if we are staying another night? We took the dogs with us.

Debbie - you are right:eek: I should have known better. Did you preorder Cathe's new series? I did:roll eyes: I am so close, to cancel my preorder. I know, I can't do her high impact cardio. What was I thinking? I don't know, why Cathe doesn't review her background exercisers? In STS the guys had horrible forms when the lift. The one girl, acted kinda funny in front of the camera:roll eyes: I don't think Cathe needs a huge cast, JMO!

Today I decided to do Pyramid Upper Body and had a great workout. I like that one once in a while, it's fun. This is what I did:

Chest Flies and Press - 12's/15's/20's/15's/12's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Pullovers - 12#/15#/20# (did not go back down, this one bothers my upper back)
Double Arm Row - 10's/12's/15's (did not go back down, same as above)

Rear Flies/Lateral Raise/Front Raise - 3's/5's/8's/5's/3's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Kicbacks - 3's/5's/8's/5's/3's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)
Overhead Press - 10#/12#/15#/12#/10# (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Hammer/Traditional Curls - 8's/10's/12's/10's/8's (12/10/8/10/12 reps)

Roxie - I'm sorry to hear about your leg again. Just rest it and you will be good to go. Have you iced it at all? Maybe that will help? Cathe was mad at Al? OMG. He at least had good form and did what she asked.

Belinda - No, I haven't ordered Cathe's new workout series. I doubt I will. I love Xtrain but there is so much I can't do - too much high impact. But I love the series so I'm glad I got it. I am actually shocked Cathe didn't notice Greg back there acting like such a dope. I agree about STS as well. I think I know which girl you are talking about, I thought the same thing.

Good afternoon!

Yesterday was yoga day for me, since I worked Wednesday night. I did the warm up for Step Moves and then did Yoga Max Premix #1. I have crazy DOMS in my core and legs today from it! I'm always shocked at how sore yoga makes me when I do it out of the blue like that.

today I did Xtrain Burn Sets Upper Body Premix. We're leaving for New Hampshire on Monday, so I will only work out today, and Sat and Sun. So I wanted to get in upper body, lower body and a cardio. That was one tough workout!!

Debbie, I saw that Greg today in the workout I did. He is just stupid. He doesn't even do the things Cathe is. Why the heck did she pick him? Because he's good looking? So. There are tons of good looking guys that CAN do moves. .... WTG on PUB! I almost did that one today for Upper Body.

Belinda, DC sounds like fun! Enjoy!!

Roxie, Probably a good decision to do rest for your leg. Rest and stretches. And I'm sure you'll be ok quicker than if you don't rest it.

Nora, Hope you feel better! I love KCM's Muscle Up too! It is good basic old school heavy weights. My favorite!

I am back home. Had a lot of fun. Today I will finish M2. I am trying to figure out how to finish M3 before we leave in 2 weeks. Maybe I will double up? I really don't want to bring all the weights in the RV :roll eyes:


Debbie - I did preorder:roll eyes: I am still on the fence about those for the same reasons you mentioned and I do have enough workout dvd's. I am sure, those dvd's will be fun. And I hardly use Cathe's older dvd's anymore:eek: They just collection dust:( I hope, Cathe will show some clips soon. I have so many other workout programs/un open dvd's I should do them first before buying more. I need to stop buying.

Good Morning,

I didn't do anything yesterday but my planks and today I did Total Body Stretch and some ab work and later I will do my planks. I plan on just doing yoga and core work and watch what I eat we are going to the lake with DD and her DH's family all weekend so I need to look good in a suit.

Debbie-I haven't iced it because I don't know whats wrong with it. Alot of people requested Greg in Xtrain and now the new series I don't get why.

Chris-I am hoping yoga helps it I really want to do the run.

Belinda-sounds like you are going to be busy this week with workouts.
 
Hi Ladies!

Today I did Xtrain Legs ,the premix with all sections, standing, chair, ball and floor. Ouch! .... I modified the clam shells, I can NOT stay up on my elbow for those, it hurts my shoulder too much. I used a band around my thighs, and just opened up like a clam, and kept my hip on the floor. I also couldn't do the ball work all elevated, but I hate ball work, so I did what I could.

Have a good weekend, everyone. I'm doing my last workout tomorrow before we go Monday for a week.
