Good Morning Ladies.
You are just hearing from me now b/c I had to take DH's car for service this morning and the dealer is almost an hour away. I went straight there after dropping DS off at school at 7:30 and just got back around 10:30.
Today's work out will be Combat 45 as per the rotation plus lunges and maybe even another 100 rep challenge!
Got in touch with the place that called me for an interview. I am going there for 10am on Friday. Fingers crossed!
Laura:: What kind of run down do you want because I am not good at remembering details of work outs.
There are 5 combat (martial arts kicking and punching, etc) work outs. I have 4 of them and they are all good. They range from 30 to 60 mins. Combat 60 Live is my favorite. Combat 30 Live is the one I don't have. There are 2 HiiT work outs both 30 mins in length. One is called Power Hiit and the first half of it uses weights and second half does not. The half that uses weights is a mix of upper and lower but the real focus is upper. The part that is not weighted is all lower body. The other one is Shock Plyo HiiT and it is all non weighted plyo moves. Then there is Core Attack which is a KILLER 20 min ab routine. Upper Body Blow Out is a 20 or 30 min upper body routine that uses weights and body weight exercises to fry the ub in no time flat and also includes a cardio factor! Lower Body Lean Out is 20 or 30 minutes of intense non weighted leg work...mostly kicking and plyo. Fries the legs and sky rockets the heart rate! Last but not least is Stretch and Strengthen which is 20 minutes. First part is all Katas (I can't really explain what this means. Sorry) and then they move into traditional stretching. Is that what you were looking for in terms of a run down? If you have specific questions that I didn't answer, please ask.
Jacque:: Congrats on the scale victory! I love those!!!
So here's my story...I was laid off from my job last March. I admit I took it easy until after I came from my family summer vacation in August but when I started hitting the help wanteds I hit it HARD and have consistently come up empty. In the meantime I had decided that now was the perfect time to pursue something new so I started scouring the local community college's website. I found a 2 yr applied science degree I was interested in but after doing the math, I decided that it wasn't worth the risk in this job market so even though I would have loved to give it a shot, I passed on it. Then, after talking to my DH I decided to give PT'ing another shot. I tried it several years ago and fell on my face when it came to finding a job...mostly coz I was afraid to even LOOK for one!
Anyway, I ended up finding a PT certification program that the community college offered where you actually learn in a classroom setting so that's what I did. I passed the tests but they also require you do a 30 hr internship with a trainer or trainers in order to gain real life experience before they actually "certify" you and that's the point where I am at today. I have continued to look for an office job because a) unemployment tells me I have to and b) i will likely need to work atleast another part time job when I first start out as a trainer because no one gets a full schedule as a trainer right away. It takes time to find clients, etc. Sorry you asked?
TG:: Di takes melatonin and swears by it.
Lori:: What kind of setting is the childcare in? A daycare?? God Bless you if you can do that!
I actually went looking for f/t work in daycare centers when I was first trying to get back to work f/t after being home with DS for a few years. I only did it b/c I had been at the gym babysitting for three years so I figured it was my best shot at a job at that point. I never even got an interview though so I guess my reputation preceeded me! LOL
Aww gee ty for the compliment!
Now only if it were that easy!
Di:: Hugs! Hope you feel better soon! Glad you found the Diabetes class helpful. What does DH think? Yes the phone is costly. I almost didn't get it because I was going to be charged $400 for it!
I called to ask for my cancellation charge on my contract coz I was thinking of trying to find a better deal with another company and before ya know it, the price of the phone came down.
A struggle ensued after that to actually GET the phone
but now I have it and it's awesome! Totally worth it!!! You need to get it!!!!!!
Ok, been on here way too long! Gotta get off my azz and do something constructive!
BBL!
