**Control The Damage Dec Month**

Hi ladies,

My glutes and legs are screaming today! After CPR this morning I did my 65 Squats with 65#'s....thanks to Wendy for sharing the Squat-A-Thon site on FB!! 20 hip thrusters, 20 hip lifts, 15 wide squats, 10 plie squats!

Wendy-ITA, not nearly enough rest days in the squat-a-thon! Hope you love Asylum as much as Laura and I. You gotta do Game Day!

TG-wow, I had no idea about Shaun. Oh well, I still enjoy sweating to his w/o's and he's still very nice on the eyes. Too funny about the CD alarm.:D At least you did something, no X on the calendar for today!

Laura-At least you have presents to wrap...I have no tree, no lights, no gifts, and I haven't even sent any cards. I think because my girls aren't coming I'm just not in the spirit yet.

Good Afternoon Ladies.

Crappy sleep again so I'm tired. :( I tried to nap but even that didn't work-odd for me! :confused:

No work out as of yet and jury is still out as to wether or not it will happen. I'm considering taking a total rest day as I haven't had one in a while but that's not garunteed yet!

TG:: I am doing Cathe's Low Impact Series rotation right now. You are just jealous that you can't have Shaun T. to yourself! We all are!;) LOL BTW, here's a link to where the Squatathon is posted if you are interested! :)

Laura:: I only have a couple weeks left of my current rotation. I'd really rather not try anything new (like Speed & Agility!) until I am done or I will only be asking for trouble! :p It's going to be hard enough to resist digging in to the new work outs as it is! :eek::confused::eek:
 
Hi Girls:)

Thought I'd check in before I go to bed. I've been kept busy the last few days. I had DS's PTA meeting yesterday and I put my workout off so long that it was a bust. Today when I got up I did 6 miles on the TM and I did some of my own leg work with some cases of drink I found cause there's no weights here!

Ok...so you guys didn't know/think ShaunT played for the other team? I always suspected it...not surprised. His S's were to S'e....lol:eek:. I always think its a shame when hot people are gay. Should only be for the uglies...I'm joking!!!!! I have a cousin who is gay and whenever I see his pics on FB I think "what a shame". Maybe I just think they would have made cute babies....:eek:. I'll shut up now. Someone just browsing will pop in here and get all nasty with me.

Wendy** no nap and you didn't sleep well either? OMG....what is going to become of you:eek:. I need to do that squat thing when I get everything set up cause my behind as disappeared.

Laura** I guess I'm not alone. Although I wouldn't recommend moving this time of year. My friend was complaining tonight that her tree wasn't yet...I told her that atleast her tree wasn't half way across the country. I'm hoping DH will have some boxes unpacked by the time we get there and some things set up.

Diana** how is jerod feeling? Seems like he has been sick for a while. Sounds like you've had some good workouts! Can't wait to get back into a routine!

TG** see what you started with the whole ShaunT conversation:p. hope your over the devastation!:eek:

Good Morning. :)

Took a full rest day y'day and slept through the night. Coincidence?? I'll bet not! I think perhaps it was a sign that I was over-training! :( That being said, I am definitely going to re-vamp this squat challenge to be a bit more "friendly" for me so stay tuned! ;)

Today's work out, speaking of squatting, will be AB and 50 squats!YEOWCH!!! :eek:

Lori:: I had always heard that about Shaun. It's a definite loss for the ladies but I'm happy for him b/c he's happy and that's what matters! :) Seriously....Me with lack of sleep and no nap is NOT a good combination! By dinner time last night I was in one seriously FOUL mood!:mad: Very creative way to get weights in! Good for you!

Not much going on here, just enjoying my coffee. I think I'll get a run in soon. Wish I could run outside instead of on the TM but its to cold out and all I have is crops.

Wendy** maybe all those squats are making you restless. Seems like a lot of squats to me with not much rest! Cause if I were doing them I'd probably stick to the same weight instead of lowering it. In saying that, I think I'm going to try those squats when I get situated in the new year. I also thought about figure competitions when I get situated but I'm not sure if my family would survive my diet:eek:

I will bbl to report my workout. I have my work Christmas party tonight and I also need to go to work and talk about my boss about my vaca pay and pension.

Lori:: You would rock a figure comp! Go for it! I've always wondered about them and would've probably already given it a shot myself to see what it's like but I KNOW I won't be able to handle the diet. NO WAY JOSE! :eek: I think the squatting is exactly the culprit for my issues as of late which is why I am changing my plan of attack for this challenge. I don't want to but I have to. I can't live like this. It's not healthy or fun! :( You aren't working but you still get to go to the Christmas party!? You must be a kiss azz!:p;):D LOL

Ok, no more wasting time. Getting the work out done EARLY today!!!!!

Hi Ladies,

I went to the Daughtry and 3 Doors Down concert last night with my cousin. The concert was awesome, we had great seats and a fun time!

Today is a weight day and 70 squats for the squat-a-thon. My chest and shoulders get worked a lot in bootcamp. Back, Biceps, Triceps and abs will be done during lunch today. I'm working from home but have conference calls from 8-12.

Score-30% Kohl's coupon!! Using that sucker on some Christmas gifts for my SIL and MIL. We also need some sheets and towels. I hppe to go shopping tonight.

Lori-how is it that you still have your treadmill? Any word on the folks that wanted to look at your house while it was being packed? Glad you had that "drink case" to use as weights! You certainly know how to adapt! I totally think you could rock a figure competition! Jerod is kind of getting better....slowly though. He's on antibiotics now for a sinus/bronchial infection.

Wendy-you don't seem to take many rest days in general anyway. Your body obviously needed it. I upped the weights for my squats and will see how that goes. It looks like only 2 rest days in the whole month. Wow, I can't believe you haven't ripped open your new w/o's. You are doing great with your rotation!!!

TG-Nice w/o this morning! By the way, Wendy ordered Combat. Did you check out the squat a thon link? Feel free to join in. I have the typical pear shaped body and tend to do a lot of leg/glute work since this is my problem area. The squat a thon is right up my alley!

Laura-what are you up to today? I've gotten away from the A2 w/o's, need to get back on those soon.

well had a ruff night .. my Tootsie girl was sick - HOPING it is just something MY DH FED HER (raw deer meat .. ugh) .. but her tummy is messed up bad and she was throwing up .. so I was up and down w/her every hour last night .. she was pittiful .. she only threw up once .. but her tummy is BAD .... we had the outside dogs in the pool room so the doggie door was cut off - so I had to get up w/her -which I went outside in the freezing cold too .. b/c I wanted to see what was going on w/her .. poor baby!!

I changed my workout 10 times last night - ended up doing trisets - LB .. then was going to pick the first round of each chpt on the UB . ended up donig EACH chpt .. so my workout was hour and half :confused: :eek: so far so good on the doms!!! they prbly are coming tho .. but since i did such a long workout ysty - that frees today up for a rest or short cardio! :D:D:D

Lori - you WOULD ROCK a figuire contest - and I think you could handle the diet - GO FOR IT!!!!

Wendy - I would NEVER do the diet that is required for a competition .>HA .. no cabs :eek::eek::eek: OH THE HORROR!!!! :p

Di - I am jealous .. LOOOOVE Daughtry and 3 doors down ... wow .. I know they rocked out!!!! I got a 30% off Kohls coupon too - AND Kohls CASH .> WOOT WOOT .. going to tmrw to finish my shopping - on vaca and taking DH to finish up!!! :D

~AB warm up~
~One legged squatting sequence from Butts n Guts that uses hi-step with 3 risers per side. I had to add 2 reps per leg on to make it 50 reps each and held my 8# UGI ball for resistance.~
~AB work out~
~40 mins of Kundalini Bliss Hips Yoga.~

Have fun shopping!!!:D I've decided to take a complete rest day from everything but yoga once per week. I may or may not do yoga on my rest days but that will be all I do if anything. It's just better for me that way. :) Enjoy your 70 squats today!;) What weight work out are you doing with them? TY re my rotation. I'm sure trying to stay on track the best I can! :)

Laura:: Healing vibes for Toots!!!! Poor girl!:(It's not the lack of carbs in meals that I am worried about regarding the figure comp. diet. It's the lack of CABS!!!!!!!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::p Nice work out! :D

Hi Girls,

Back to report my weight workout is complete for today. I did GS Back & Biceps and GS Triceps. I did the GS warmup, using a 65# bb did 15 wide squats, 15 plie squats, repeated once, then did 10 squats with a down 3 up 1 count for a total of 70 Squats!! Didn't hit abs yet, perhaps tonight or tomorrow. I'm down 3lbs....yay for Insanity and drinking tons of water.

So ya'll got 30% coupons, and I thought I was special. Spend away ladies!

Laura-oh no, hope Toots tummy feels better. Guess you worked out enough yesterday for 2 days worth of w/o's!!! Enjoy your rest day while the DOM's creep in.:p

Wendy-I hope to get some concert pictures posted on fb this weekend. Daughtry is so good looking....and 3 Doors Down totally rocked the house!

Back to report - DOMS - eeouch - bis -tris - shoulder blades and a bit into my inner thighs :D I knew I was due some!!!! thinking today a rest day - my eyes are dilated .. well coming down from dilation .. and my head is hurting - so will make sure to workout hard before my shopping spree begins .. ;)

re: eyes - oy - :( - not too bad a report - but not glowing either!!! :( to be expected .. nothing can be done anyway .. I will just go w/the flow until I cant see the flow anymore!! then I will figure it out from there :p gotta follow up w/my reg. dr for my chronic migraines - seems due to OLD AGE hormones I will prbly getting more of them :mad:

OK . . workout for me .. driving home in the dark w/1/2 dilated eyes :confused::confused: NOT GONNA BE FUN .. wish me luck .. my head will be pounding for sure when I get home!
 
Good Morning:)

Checking in with peace and quiet. I woke at 7 to blow my nose (I'm brewing something) and I figured there was no use in going back to sleep. So I'm enjoying my coffee and checking in just like I use to:eek:

The work party was ok last night. There were a few people I didn't know. Our manager also has a slow clearing business on the side and he invites those guys as well and he pays for that side of the tab (I think...I don't think he would be that dumb) It was nice to see everyone and to say good bye to them.

This morning the cleaning ladies come so I think we will be leaving the house and I will do my workout after lunch. I sent DH to Walmart yesterday and had him pick up some weights for me. I just couldn't do it any longer:p. I just wanted 15's cause I could do pretty much anything with that but the place was cleared out so he got 20's and 10's. I'll either leave them here for when I come visit or send them to my moms for when I visit.

Wendy** yeah...I don't think all those squats is real wise for one month. It also can't be easy on the knees. I'd probably try it but revamp it somehow...maybe every second day or something. I think if I were to do a figure comp...I'd have to get these terrible boobs done first...and that's not happening anytime soon!

Diana** good to hear he is feeling better. It's certainly been dragging on and I don't think it matters how old your kids are, it's never nice to see them sick. Are you doing the holiday melt down again? I bet the daugtry concert was great..I really like him.

Laura** geez Louise....those poor dogs of ours! And how many do you have!? Lol. My dog is still next door with the girl who is renting our house:confused:. We had to leave him there and she didn't care. Aft Christmas we will have him flown up, I don't think we can take him now. Something to do with people taking to much luggage Christmas time. We will have to sedate him for sure!

So I haven't heard anything on the people who looked at our house, I guess it will sell eventually. And listen to our luck. We were hoping to get rid of the car b/c the RCMP only ships one car. I took it back to the dealership about 6 weeks ago, hoping that someone would take over the lease. In the meantime we sold the snow tires. Yesterday we find out that we can't even break the lease (I thought we could for a price) and that we are probably going to have to get it shipped. So not only do we have to pay for that...but we also have to pay for new snow tires!:mad: I was so mad! When Dh said he sold the tires, I don't know why I didn't chime in then. I guess I thought we could get out of it some how.

Anyway....I may bb to report my workout!

Some nice thigh/glute DOMS to report this morning!

The rotation calls for Low Impact Challenge today but IDT I'm feeling that so I'll probably run or do Cardio Supersets instead...and 55 squats!

Lori:: I'm thinking that the back to back to back days of squatting with heavy weight like I had been doing may not good but I'm done with that. I will go heavier on days with less reps perhaps but when the reps are higher I am going for lighter weights for sure like I did y'day! There is a name for the type of leg training where you use light weight/high reps several days per week. It's used to slim down the legs. The name of the method escapes me right now but I did it once a long time ago and it worked so here's to hoping it works again! :D Nah, IDT you need boobs for a figure comp but if you want them anyway then why not? ;) Sorry about the leased car and snow tire fiasco. That stinks but I'm sure it will work out in the end!

Di:: Nice squatting! Glad you had a great time at the concert! Yay for the weight loss! You are doing great! :D I, OTOH and gettng no where fast. Every time the scale appears to be creeping in the right direction, it suddenly shoots back up. :confused: Ugh. :mad: Whatever. :rolleyes:
