**Control The Damage Dec Month**

Good Morning. :)

This morning's work out was COMBAT Kickstart (30m), 75 squats w/a 50# BB (25 each of standard, plie and narrow/front stance) and Yoga Beauty Body (45m).

Today's agenda is all about shopping...food and Christmas!

So we had thrown out our tree after last Christmas because I hated it and had every intention of buying a new one during the after holiday sales. Well that never happened so up until last night we didn't have one!:confused: Thankfully DH stopped on the way home from work and was able to find the EXACT tree I had wanted! We put it up and it's beautiful! We don't even have it decorated yet but I don't care! It's perfect! I'm so happy!:) The rest of the house decorations are up. I need to go to Kohl's today and see what kind of ornament deals I can get with my coupon so we can decorate the tree. There weren't enough ornaments from the other tree to begin with but as it turns out we ended up having to throw most of them away coz they were shot. Hence the nekkid tree!:p

Diana:: I'm w/you on catching up on rotations in 2013! I have 4 to do ATLEAST!:eek: Thankfully I don't need to endure CEC's as much as I used to but DS does still like it so I continue to grin n bear it on occassion. Great job with your 100 squats today and good luck with tmrw's!:p Thanks re the CPR cert. It's really no big deal. It probably should be a bigger deal then it is though!

Laura:: Awww I'm so sorry you are sick! Tons of Airborne and/or Vit C always work to help combat sickness for me! If it can't stop it then it definitely shortens it's life-span so don't give up the fight!!!! Sorry you n DH had a fight. :( Feel better soon!!!!

TG:: Aren't kid's B'day parties so much fun!? :eek: LOL :p

Lori:: I totally admire the way you are handling this whole moving situation on the heels of running your household by yourself for six months!!! You are my hero! :)

O.k....so when did I stop whining? Cause I'm about to pick up where I left off!!! Not a real great two days but yesterday was much better.

So after we finish dinner Sunday night my BIL was heading back to work but he came in to tell me that my tenants "friend" ( I'm starting to question this girls self respect) was trying to back a 18 wheeler into my driveway. We just had the driveway fixed last summer b/c my BIL brought some kind of machinery in over it and sunk it when they went down over the edge. My fil went out and told him he couldn't park a transport truck in my driveway so he parked on the side of the road for the night. Now....when we got up the next day, it was still there. Mind you...it was right in front of the kids bus stop. I was so ticked! So that was that.

The other thing that really *issed me off yesterday was my in laws pawning off my children. Keep in mind my mil starts crying every time she thinks of us leaving but yet they haven't spent anytime with them the last few days. They were suppose to watch them twice yesterday and instead they asked my bil's mother to watch the baby was they could watch the girls skate. Oh was I ever mad!!! They knew I was up to my eyeballs with things to do and no one offered to watch the kids so I spent the morning getting things done with a baby in my arms. It's gotten to the point where I'm really ready to leave and I don't have any sympathy for tears. Might sound harsh but when I sit back and watch what's happening around me, I can't help it! You'd think they would be getting every second in that they could but its the opposite.

Then I called the airline about taking the dog and no live animals can go until the 12th of jan. Then I felt horrible about that. Then dh called and said he might not be able to get Friday off....that kind of did me in but he ended getting off till 1 so that's good. It looked as if wed be flying all day Thursday and then driving for 3.5 hours after.

My workout yesterday was 4 miles on the TM, today was HR and 5.5 miles. I think tomorrow will be afterburn. I have most of our things packed...def paying for excess luggage.

Wendy** yeah I survived it all and so did everyone else. I was starting to worry that someone might not survive! Lol I was all concerned about not having a tree up yet and you girls are just getting organized! You've been busy! I don't know how you survived CPR and a party with no nap:eek:

Diana** the girls aren't coming for Christmas this year, are they? I think I asked you that before. I'm sure you'll miss them.

Laura** sounds like you had a awesome trip. I don't think there are ever enough hours in the run of a day to get everything done!

TG** someday I'll be partying with my boys:p. DD is 16 now...guess ill end up partying with her first!

I don't know when I'll be back!!!

Hi Ladies,

I didn't not workout yesterday...:mad: and I ate junk all day:mad::mad:. I've decided not to weigh myself until after Christmas, it's just too depressing. I'm back to doing circuits for a bit to help offset the desserts of the season! This morning I did HSTA but did not have time for the Chest work...conference call for work. I still feel good about what I got done. Also, I'm considering training for a HM that is on April 7th! I'm going to email my training buddy and see if she's interested.

Today I'm sticking to my planned meals. Started off great with my oatmeal, prot powd, chia seeds, cinnamon and almond milk!

TG-what fun to be able to party with your kids. My two older boys will sometimes hang with us, they are 24 and 22. Nice job on CC!!

Lori-you're not really whiner...even though you certainly deserve to be right now. Is DD coming with you, or will she finish out the school year where she is? That's a tough decision for sure. With everything going on you are still keeping up with your w/o's...much better than I. I don't have any excuses either.

Wendy-sounds like DH got the perfect tree. We need some new ornaments too but I'm not biting until after Christmas. I'm also getting low on wrapping paper, after about 5 years of not buying any. I will be hitting up the after Christmas sales for sure. I'm also looking for a new angle for my tree topper. I just haven't come across any that I really like.

Laura-you've just been running yourself ragged lately so I'm sure your immune system is low. You need to rest, and have some chicken soup, the most wonderful cure all around. I've got this belly that's making me crazy, hopefully Xtrain will blast it away!

Hello. :)

This morning was Christmas and ornament shopping-a success on both counts!!!

The ornaments I picked are all silver, light purple, and light blue. Some are shiny, some are a matte finish and some are sparkley. I have balls, icecicles and a few other shapes. I also bought a silver bow tree topper and silver bead garland. Should look really pretty when it's all decorated! I'm so excited to FINALLY have a NICE tree!!!!:D

This afternoon was my work out:
Combat Power HiiT (25-30m), 80 wall squats with stability ball (20 reps each with a set of 10, 12, 15 and 17.5# DB's) and last but not least...Yoga Max (30m). :D

Diana:: I too am squeamish about the scale this time of year and have not ventured on it much and don't plan too either until Jan 2nd to see how much work I have to do!:eek: We will do damage control together with all of those rotations we need to conquer!;) There was a ton of paper where I bought my ornaments today. I wanted to buy some just incase but DH seems to think we might have enough. Guess that meas I need to get to wrapping so that I have time to buy more paper if he is incorrect!!:rolleyes:

Lori:: LOL-IDK how I survived CPR class and a party w/o a nap either! I napped today after lunch and before my w/o btw!:p Can't wait for you to get to Cold Lake and get settled so maybe you can relax a bit. So is your daughter staying behind as originally planned??

Hi Ladies,

I forgot to mention that I did 156 Squats today during HSTA....and you can bet you heiny these are counting towards the squatathon! I'm actually ahead by 6. A hundred from yesterday and 50 for today. Guess that puts me back on track with the squatathon rotation! Yah Me!!:p

Today's work out is Combat Kickstart again. Nothing else is called for but I may add on some yoga/stretching anyway. ;)

So my tree looks awesome! I'm soooo happy! I just have to go back to the store today to p/u another strand or two of beads to finish it off! :D

Gotta do the last bit of Christmas shopping while I'm out as well...something for my FIL and his S/O, a gift card for my neices and nephews to purchase a group gift that they want and something else for my DH (the hardest part!:mad:). If I have time left before I have to p/u DS I will probably start wrapping too....

Diana:: Hey now, that's cheating!:p Are you going to do the ab challenge in January? I'm not. I may do a lunge challenge though coz that's what I had voted for! :)

Thank goodness for my brother yelling for me to get up:) got up at 5:10 brush teeth washed face and IT WAS ON lol......got to do something. I did CC #1 revised 36 minutes all uphill and abs. Tonight, doing back & biceps:eek:

Fit Mommy: Are you liken the Les Mills Series. When I preordered I only got the basic package, so I ordered, the others minus the gloves; I should have them today. Juuuuuust maybe I can view 'one' of the workouts tis evening. Nice workout.

This morning will have to be a shorter w/o as I have a Dentist apt. before work today. I tried to figure something out last night but never came up with a plan. Perhaps the new bodyrock site (dailyhiit.com) will have something for me.

Wendy-so do you love Combat so far? It looks super fun...i'm going to keep an eye on groupon for it. I got turbofire 50% off on groupon. I would definitely be down for lunges, guess I didn't know we could vote. I'm so happy you love your tree....and you need even more ornaments to fill it.

TG-Can't believe you get up so early, and are so chipper too! CC is a great way to start the day.

Lori-Is today your travel day, or is it tomorrow. How are the kiddo's doing with being displaced for a couple weeks before you head to Cold Lake? I wish I had your composure. Hope everything is going well for you.

Laura-how are you feeling? You may just need to pass on a few w/o's and let yourself recover. You don't want to be sick for Christmas.

Diane: Seriously, can you walk? After doing all them squats :):rolleyes:;) I am a morning person always been I love..... love the mornings. I usually get up at 4am to get started with my workouts. However, by 7:30pm me and Tank our in bed chilling:cool::cool:

Today's work out was Combat Kickstart, Ab Circuits No Equipment Abs & 85 squats (55 pulsing squats holding a 15# DB and switching stance every 5 reps).

I was back out Christmas shopping again today and I finished my tree. I will post a pic on FB! :)

TG:: How did you order the extra Combat work outs? I have been trying to find them for sale separately and can't. I emailed customer service and they told me that I can't purchase them separately...or atleast that's what I THINK the person was trying to say...:confused:. Please let me know how you did it!

Diana:: So what's this new BR site you mentioned?? I must go check it out tonight!:D I am loving Combat so far! A groupon for BB work outs? Really?? I didn't know that! TY for the tip for future use!;)

MAN - I have been one sick slug - it hit me like a ton of bricks - have strep - and started z-pack TUE - I am just now getting back to work - I mean my tonsil n throat hurt Mon night - then by lunch TUE I was DRAINED - then got a fever and WHAM it knocked me on my butt - I have been downing airborne and zicam too - at least it is not the flu (nock on wood) .. needless to say no workouts to report - most I have done is get up from couch to kitchen to blow my nose 1000 times! :( I feel a BIT better today tho .. thanks goodness! I am back at work today .. ugh ..

DI - I am with you - between the nonstop food fest - traveling -and now this stupid stupid strep throat and cold - I am not weighing or worrying about it until after Christmas - I HOPE to feel good enough to get easy workout in tmrw tho ..

Wendy - so you are just now getting the tree up? when do you take it all down? I will take mine down day after Christmas!! Our temps have plummited - I think that weather is to get to you too . . tonight the low is to be in the 20s .. for next few nights - bbbbrrrrrrrr

Lori - are you moving??? wasnt sur what day you were moving - good luck - and safe travels!!

TG - WISH i was a morning person - I am the night owl!! I am not ILL in the mornings but I am NOT happy either .. LOL .. but at night I thrive!!

OK .. gotta play catch up today - exercise for me - and maybe I can get some sort of workout in tmrw!! if not . . I am not stressing .. I am just glad to be in the world of the living .. LOL!! have a great one!
 
Yesterday, had a change of plans. I went Xmas shopping. No workout this morning, after shopping stopped had a few drinks. Today is our in-house Xmas party and HOPEFULLY we can go home YAY. I’m headed straight to Kohl’s. See you all tomorrow and have a wonderful day.

Hi Ladies,

Today is a vacation day for me and DH. DH has to have a blood draw and then we are going out to breakfast! After breakfast we will be doing some shopping for the kids stockings. I also need to pick up some groceries, mainly baking items. There are lots of treats to be made this weekend.

DS1 is leaving in the morning for Oregon and will fly back home on Christmas night. It's going to so weird not having him home for Christmas and not seeing my little girls. I'm so happy I decided to go visit them in January for their 5th birthday.

Yesterday I spent too much on the dailyhiit site that I never got in a workout. Later today is looking good, perhaps full body weights and a cardio. I ate a ton of junk and had a delicious calzone for dinner last night. Back to the "good" diet on December 26th.

Wendy-yay, glad you found a good deal on the remaining combat discs!

Hello Ladies. :)

This morning's work out was Combat Plyo HiiT (30m), 90 squats ala' Leaner Legs (all of the first barbell squatting segment and a portion of the one legged db squat segment) and 30m of yoga/stretching (half was some of Lose Weight Feel Great and the other half was my own stretching routine).

The DOMS in my upper body has finally eased and there was no punching in today's work out so I should feel even better tmrw....BUT tmrw is another new Combat martial arts routine though so it may not last long! :eek:;)

Today I have to go to Kohls for a quick gift and that's it! Then I am DONE and can concentrate on wrapping! :D

Laura:: Um, we've been known to have our tree up until the end of January!!!:eek: I was never motivated to put up the tree before the last minute b/c I hated the puny ugly thing but now I have a new tree with new decorations and I LOVE IT so hopefully from now on I'll be motivated to get it up sooner and maybe that'll lead to taking down sooner too....or maybe not!:p:eek: So sorry you are sick. What a bummer time to feel like crap. Get well soon!!!!!!!!!!

Diana:: The only baking that's getting done around here is one batch of chocolate chip cookies for Santa at my son's request. I just can't have that stuff in my house coz I'll eat it all! Now if it's a dessert that is leaving the house, that's fine. I'll do that but baking to keep in OUR house? Not very often at all....I checked out the new BR site quickly. I am sure I will delve deeper into once I come back around to that mode of work outs....along with Z's new site too! :)

TG:: I know that BB Coach! She used to post on Cathe's boards right? I forget what thread I knew her from. I can't place her exactly but I know her face for sure!

Good Morning:)

Everyone ready for Christmas....LOL...I have to laugh cause I'm soooooo not!

We arrived on thursday and the flight wasn't to bad. The kids were very good. We weren't suppose to switch planes but when we landed in Toronto they asked for us not to get off of the plane so we sat there and waiting for them to clean up around us. Then they boarded everyone else....then they ended up having a mechanical. So we got off anyway. I had no clue how long we were going to be there for but thankfully they took us off of one plane and right on another. We were an hour late arriving but that wasn't to bad. We spent the night in a hotel and then a 3.5 hour drive yesterday to get here.

I spent the whole day yesterday cleaning the house. There isn't much room. It was so frustrating from time to time....thought I was going to start crying but then I'd talk myself out of it. That doesn't mean I won't cry today though:eek:. No workouts to report as you can imagine! We still need to get the rooms straightened out, DD a bed, and groceries. That should sum it up. The baby is in the room with us. There's only 3 bedrooms. I can't believe ill have to do this again when we buy a home! But I'm sure ill be more excited about it then.

Saying good bye to my family and friends was tough. As I was dog Christmas things yesterday I was thinking "I can't wait for Christmas to be over". I don't think I've ever thought that it my life....but I've never been away from my family before.

Diana** I'm not sure how the kids were dealing with all the commotion. I think they baby was thrown off with change of scenery at nap time but he would quickly adjust. And DS wouldn't let me out of his site. I always had to sleep with him. I bet you are gonna miss the girls this year. It's good that DS gets to visit them though.

Wendy** what are you guys buying now. Is it something that takes up little room! Lol cause thats what I need. I wonder if its an option for me to use to TM in the garage and store the weights under my bed....I could probably pull it off then. Or Santa is gonna have to get me a gym membership!

Laura** are you feeling any better!? My goodness.....it's not a good time if year to be sick!!!

TG** you gave me a good idea for tonight! This girl is wrapping and drinking:)

I should be able to start checking in more regularly soon. Right now it's just the hussle of organizing ...oh and Christmas! I said to DH.. One if these days ill meet some guy girl whose husband is going away for Rcmp training and ill say " Dave went away when the baby was 4 months, I had two other kids and then they moved us in the middle of winter and we only had a tiny house" lol....I have no choice but to laugh
