Commit to get Fit & Lean January 2016 - 2024

Hi,

Today was a walk at the gym. It was so cold out. We took the tree down, the ornaments were falling off because it was so dry. The last couple of years our trees have not been good, this year it didn’t seem to have the nice tree smell.

Belinda - It was a good day to take a rest, so cold out. I thought about staying under the covers all day;). I had a feeling blanket might not work, I’m sure it’s their ears.

Cookie - I’m happy you are both starting to feel better. It’s seems like sometimes cold hit us hard. I’m happy to hear your DH pulled through:):D

Goodnight:)

Good morning,

Today I did Lift, Move & Restore Functional Total Body. Liked it a lot. We have 6 inches of snow.

Debbie - those thunder blankets help a little, not much. DD put one on Cooper in Fl when people fired those fireworks, it didn‘t help Cooper. He ran inside the house for cover. I didn‘t put a tree up this year.

Cookie - did you see my question from yesterday? So happy your husband pulled through, lol

Need to pack my bag for the hospital on Wednesday. BBl

'Evening! Essentrics today. I've decided I'm not walking below 20 degrees. Today it was 11 and the wind chill felt 10 degrees less. I'm just not a cold weather person, sorry.

Deb, we took the ornaments off today, and our tree wa really dry also. We try to leave it up til Three Kings Day, and barely made it. And, like you, we keep on track with watering it. For someone who is so easy going, my dh is a major wimp when not feeling well.

Belinda, I didn't have food restrictions the night before surgery. I just couldn't eat or drink after, I think it was like 8 pm, and nothing the day of surgery no matter what time it was scheduled. So each time I just had a light meal the night before. The tape they used to hold the shield on has to be gently removed. At least on me it ripped the skin. Had eye drops to use days before and weeks after each surgery. No exercise for about a week after each one and had to see dr first for approval, and then light weights for a couple after.

Hi,

Today was a leg workout & walk at the gym. We had about 2 inches of snow so not bad, just too cold. We are going to FL in 2 weeks to visit my Dad, family & friends. I wish it was this week.

Belinda - It sounds like you liked the new Lift, Move, Restore & Functional TB workout. I will try and do one this week. The good thing is your surgery will be done when the weather isn't great and spend time indoors.

Cookie - Great job with Essentrics. You are better than me I have now said I won't walk below 40 degrees. The wind chill has been really bad this year, maybe that is why or getting older;)

Goodnight:)

Evening,

I was hoping to get a workout in, never happened. Been on the phone trying to figure out if I am scheduled for surgery or not. The last 2 day‘s all appointments been canceled due to the weather. Fingeres crossed!

Debbie - yes, I liked LMR TB. They are on the lighter side from Cathe‘s others. We got a lot of snow. Hopefully the surgery is onetime tomorrow.

Cookie - thanks for all the info. The nurse called and told me I had no food restrictions. Sorry the shield ripped your skin. I have no idea what will go on after the surgery. I have a follow up appointment with the surgeon on Thursday. I was not giving eye drops, except the once’s I use daily for dry eyes. I assume I can‘t lift weights under a week. I will follow my doctors orders.

Good night. I will check in tomorrow or the next day.

'Evening! LMR TB today. Like it, and could feel the met effect in parts too. DH told me temp was almost 20, so we bundled up and got in a mile. I got home and saw it was 18 and figuring wind chill was 2!!! Now I'm checking windchill in advance and never trusting him again!

Deb, lucky you going back to FL! How is the work there coming along? The wind chill has definitely been bad. I was never as cold as the past 10 years. Constantly freezing!

Belinda, bet rescheduling all those surgeries is a mess of a job! Think there was a no weight over 5 lb restriction til I saw the dr 10 days post surgery. I also had to see dr each time the very next day. Hope you can rest tonight and good luck tomorrow, if that's the day.

Hi,

Today was a walk at the gym & STS 2.0 UB1. It was so windy here, a big tree fell in our backyard, it was in the woods but closer enough to see it from our deck.

Belinda - Good luck with your surgery tomorrow, hopefully it is on time. That was a lot of snow.

Cookie - Great job with LMR TB. I'm sure you were happy to be home after your walk. It's supposed to be windy here all week:( This is the most we have walked indoors in years.

Goodnight:)

'Afternoon! TG I'm not in CA with the wildfires, the midwest or even the mid and central part of NY, but one degree with windchill is cold! Did JS Interval Sprint looking at the wind blowing like crazy. I cannot imagine being unhoused. Have another meeting and then book club tonight. I'm debating doing it from Zoom since it is lightly snowing and so cold out!

Deb, yes, it has been cold and windy for a while already, and looks like it will continue. Glad that tree wasn't closer to your house!

Belinda, been thinking of you today and sending lots of healing vibes your way.

Quick check in. My surgery went well today. I didn‘t feel anything except the bright lights. I am light sensitive .It was kind interesting how they do the surgery, I was awake the entire time. I was giving meds to relax and lots of drops to num your eye. I am home and resting. I can‘t see well ,my glasses don‘t fit Ober the eye patch. I have to wear a eye patch. I am seeing my doctor tomorrow.

Hi,

Today was a walk at the gym & zoom yoga. It is still so windy here. We have a couple we know in CA, he said he's ok but I think he is real close to the fires. I believe they rent but must be so scary.

Belinda - Happy to hear your surgery went well. Take it easy and rest up. Is it hard to sleep?

Cookie - It's seems like crazy weather all over the US. Great job with JS interval sprint. It is even very windy in FL.

Goodnight:)

Evening! Dentist appointment , visit Apple re laptop battery, work and functional Pilates won loved this one!

Deb, thinking you might enjoy the functional Pilates workout in the new series. Glad yiur friends are ok checked in’s/one of mine and she was saying how bad the air quality is.
Belinda, very happy and relieved all went well. That’s terrific. Please rest

Hi,

Today was a walk at the gym & some legs and core work. I ran some errands and was in a store and they were playing Christmas music. I thought it was strange, are they late or early LOL.

Belinda - I hope you are feeling better, my thoughts are with you.

Cookie - I don't think Cathe ever did a pilates workout, I will try on the weekend. It was hard to run errands in the cold, I think you probably felt that way too.

Goodnight:)

Debbie - thank you. I have to avoid strenuous activity for the 2 weeks. Lots of resting, which is tough for me to do. I am allowed to take short walks, my neighborhood is slippery. That’s out of the question. I have no pain. I do have some flickering going on, which is normal. Colors are coming in beautiful, I still see blurry. Also very normal after surgery. It will take a few weeks for the new lens to adjust.DH is a good nurse, lol.

Cookie - thank you. I still see very thing blurry. I am allowed to take of the eye shield, wearing my glasses. After awhile I the shield back on, I am noticed my eye is flickering. Did that happened to you too? I was given the instructions not to do sports for the next 2 weeks, avoid strenuous activity’s for 2 weeks. No bending over for 2 weeks or lift anything heavier than 10 pounds. I can shower, wash my hair as long as I don’t get any water into my eye. I could wear makeup just to be carful around the eye I had surgery on. I think I will leave the makeup off for now. I was giving glasses to protect my eyes, I am using them for the shower, lol. I also have some sunglasses.

Great job on your workouts everyone. I will check in soon.

'Evening! Essentrics today. Am hoping to get a walk in tomorrow. Today's weather was warmer and less windy than the rest of this week.

Deb, that is strange about Christmas music playing now. Maybe they're just being prepared for next year, as you said.

Belinda, glad you're following dr's orders and resting. Those restrictions sound similar to mine, other than I wasn't supposed to use the laptop or idpad for a while.

Hi,

Today I walked at the gym and did STS 2.0 Supersets workout. We are going to dinner tonight.

Belinda - Happy to hear you are recovering. I'm sure it is hard for you. It's good to take a break from exercising you will come back more motivated.

Cookie - It was warmer today, still cold. I'm hoping to get in an outdoor walk tomorrow too.

Have a great weekend:)

'Afternoon! Cathe's Kickboxing Cardio Crush today. Getting ready to go for a walk since the weather has stopped snowing and items is a bit warmer. Windchil is only 18, so it almost seems balmy!

Deb, hope you enjoyed your dinner last night. That Supersets workout is a great one!

Belinda, glad you're resting. After all you have been through, it should feel good.

Evening,

I spend most day in the ER. I am getting chills last 2 day’s. This morning I got this wicked headache. I couldn’t move my head. I am running a fever on top. The doctors were worried it had something to do with my eye surgery. My eye feels great. Just to rule it out they ran all kinds of tests. They ran a IV Thyenol and fluid IV. Helped a little. My head is killing me. I have Covid. I am on Paxlovid. My eye is feeling great.

I will catch up in the morning.

Hi,

Today was a rest day. We just received a dusting of snow. My SIL in TN had about 4-5 inches of snow, they don't even have snow plows for the streets.

Belinda - I'm so sorry you were in the ER and have Covid. My thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery. Feel better.

Cookie - Cathe's kickboxing cardio crush sounds fun. You are brave going for a walk, but it did seem warmer.

Deanna - Hi

Goodnight:)
