Hi,

Ugh, I have a really bad cold & didn't sleep much at all last night. I even went back to bed this morning for 2 hours. I thought about a workout but barely have any energy so taking it easy for a couple of days. I'm going to go to work tomorrow but hopefully everything is sold out;)

Cookie - Not used to you checking in either, at 9PM no less:) The one thing I did do was finally planted my bulbs:eek::eek: I'm not sure if they will come up but it will be a nice surprise in the Spring & the ground was so soft.

Kristin - I think it was smart of you to get the flu shot you are probably exposed to so many germs. I'm falling so behind with my rotation but will just pick-up where I left off. Your doing a great job!!

Phatgyrl - I hope you feel better.

Good monrning,

The move didn't went so well:mad:. When DD and I arrived on Saturday, the place was a hot mess. I have never seen a bathroom that dirty!!! We walked out of the appartment. I told DD to call the manager and have him take a look and get this place cleaned up. I refused to clean up after someone elses mess (not after what I went through with my house last year:eek:). They did get some one in and clean the bathroom, but still didn't clean anything else, WTH? Sunday we called again, someone came...told us they would sent someone to clean the stove and frige. Yesterday they finally had the place clean enough for us to go in and clean and desinfect the place. That place was disgusting:confused:. Now it's nice and clean. DH, DS and I didn't get home until almost 11 pm. DD is set up about 85%, we still have to hang up curtins, pic and little stuff. I am so excusted from cleaning and all that stess.

Not sure what I will do today?

Awww Man :( I just lost my post:mad: I did personals and everything - Gah!

Well, to sum it all up. I went to my first WWers meeting yesterday and really liked it.

I got in a 35minute cardio this morning. Some power walking.

And I thanked everyone for being so sweet with your encouraging words about my post last week (post on anxiety/depression and the weight gain). Sending hugs to everyone:)

Evening everyone! Just finished Bi's and Tri's plus Core #1. I did the first set of bicep curls with 20#, but my form suffered on the last rep so I went down to 15#s. If I had enough time, I would have loaded my gloves, but that takes too long to do. I wish the gloves were easier to get the weights in and out.

I spent my evening going over my lesson plan and questions I might be asked tomorrow. I am prepped for my pre-observation interview and yet I am still nervous, lol. I am a nut. DH thinks I'm crazy. I cannot wait to just get it over with and see what my AP has to say. He's only ever said good things about my teaching methods and style, and yet it never gets easier, :rolleyes:

Belinda- that is just disgusting!!! Who does that? I am glad that the management cleaned up most of it. What a way to start in a new place. How'd you like Xtrain CBS? I love the burn sets dvd.

Amelia- I hate when that happens. . . Good job with your walk.

Deb- I hope you are feeling better. When I have a cold, especially with a sore throat, I will gargle with salt water frequently and it seems to lessen the cold for me. Not sure how much of it is a mental thing, but it works for me. Everyone is sick in my school. I feel as if I should go to school with a garlic around my neck, lol. Maybe an onion. . . I read somewhere that if you put an onion in the room it absorbs germs, especially the flu virus spores. I wonder how true that is. . .

pkatgyrl- feel better! Maybe you should try having an onion in your room (cut in half). See if it works.

I'm starting to think I do have the flu, I'm so achy, headache, slight fever, no appetitate or energy. I made it through a few hours of work & foodshopping now I'm so ready to crash & hope I feel better. I miss my workouts:(

Belinda - I can't believe you went through that again:( It should be a requirement that they either clean-up or hire a service:confused: Get your rest before you catch all these germs;)

Kristin - Good luck tomorrow, it will be a great feeling to get it over with and get good reviews! I'm running to go get the garlic & onion . . . Actually just read about the gargling with salt water will try it:)

Amelia - My husband's cousin (a guy) did really well on WW recently. It gives you something to look forward too!

Amelia, glad you liked the meeting. Not sure if you remember but I was supposed to be one of my sister's diet coach a few years ago and I used to go to some mtgs with her. Lots of good tips there and it was motivating.
Kristin, good luck today. I'll be thinking of you. A principal told me yesterday that she was suprised that some of her teachers didn't seem to put much prep into getting ready. What are folks thinking?
Phatgyrl, hope you're taking care to avoid the flu.

Deb, take care. How did the gargling with salt water help? Hope so.
Up with the darn dogs! Apparently my dh must not have let them out last evening, so now, they are ready. Of course, he sleeps right thru everything.
Want to take Wednesdays as rest day but didn't get to wo yesterday so if I don't fall back to sleep soon, it will be hard strikes. I even have a person in mind for my sparring partner!

Today I will do XTrain Cardio Leg Blast. I am sure I have to modify some of the exercises.

Cookie - yes, again! WTH, is wrong with people? Alesia took pic. It was disgusting. It is a requirement for someone to professional come in and clean the apartment before they hand it over:rolleyes:, what happend they forgot/not checked on anything, WTH? Like I said, I refused to touch the bathroom/kitchen. I waited until they sent someone over and cleaned up the nasty stuff. When they did sent someone over to clean the apartment on Saturday, someone did clean the bathroom. It was clean. I still cleaned it like 4times afterwards, lol. That's all they cleaned on Saturday. Nobody cleaned the stove/kitchen. We had to call again Sunday morning and get someone over to clean the kitchen? Really? how can they forget to clean the same studio apatment twice:eek:?? We raised some hell??? I mean, I raised some hell, lol!:eek: The manager did come with a cleaning/welcome basket, lol! I doubt they ever gonna give Alesia any more trouble, lol.:eek: I talked to the manager on Saturday and told him this place is a pig stall:p:eek: It's a very nice appartment and safe. It's right next to the Pentagon. She can walk to the mall, has stores and restaurants in walking distance. I love it;). And the metro is only 5 min walking distance. Can't beat that. The dog traing is going well. Have fun with HS today. I am not sure, I can do that one with all the high impact?

Debbie - so can't I? It is a requirement for someone to professinal come in and clean the apartment. I am so glad it's over. Yesterday Alesia got her new couch from Macy's, she was all excited. The place looks really nice. Love the location. Lot's of shopping and things to do when mom comes and visits:p She has 2 very nice gyms in the apartment complex:eek:


Kirstin - I liked it alot! Time went by fast. I noticed the pace is fast on those workouts, I had to lower my weights yesterday. Good job.

Amelia - glad your meeting went well yesterday.

Phatgyrl - feel better and take it easy!

Hey girls, Tabatasice Premix 1 done today.

Belinda-I loved XT CLB, really fun. I remember breathing heavy a lot:eek: I too had to modify it. I'm glad the apartment is all clean now...wow, what a hassle you had to go through. Hey, My DH got me an ankle supportive thingy that wraps around your foot and so far its helping with the PF. I wore it yesterday on and off then slept in it and no pain today:D I've got it on right now...think I will wear it to work tomorrow. I'm hoping it will help with the healing process.

Cookie- I almost did Hard Strikes this morning. Were you able to get it in? And who was your sparring partner?;)

Deb-Oh no, so sorry to read about you being sick.:( I hope your feeling better real soon. ((hugs))

Kristin-Nice job with your workout. How did your pre-observation interview go today? Im sure you were fabulous!

Evening everyone. My pre-observation interview went extremely well. My AP told me that he doesn't understand why I am nervous and he told me that I am one of the few teachers in the building that he truly respects and holds in high regard :D. He said my dedication to my students and to teaching is obvious. Well, needless to say, that made me feel AWESOME! LOL!

Tonight I did Xtrain legs Disc 5. I did not do the long premix. I did premix 1, skipping the barre workout portion. Maybe I will skill the standing work next week, and do the barre and rest of legs with rear delts premix. We shall see.

Amelia- I am itching to do tabatacise again, but following the rotation I have to wait a few weeks, lol. The only thing I wish they had on that dvd are premixes where you can do just one tabata of your choice. Warm up, tabata of your choice, and maybe add the core workout. THe way the premixes are now, to get to do some of the other ones at the end, you have to go through the tabatas before them. . . I don't know if I'll ever get to do all five, lol.

Belinda- Cardio leg blast is great, isn't it. I still have chest DOMS from Burn Sets on Sunday! These workouts are no joke, lol. DD is lucky to have you to raise hell for her. They probably thought a young girl moving in wouldn't say anything or know any better. Well, they weren't thinking Mama would show up, lol. Good for you!

Cookie- I'm surprised at how some teachers don't prepare and don't seem to care. With everything going on. . . I don't get it. We are giving midterms this week and a colleague called me on the first day of the midterm to ask me if the students could write in the book, where should they stop? How much do the sections count? All things that were covered at a meeting we BOTH attended. I don't get it. I rather be overprepared then underprepared. For me, that is the key. My students know I don't slack off, and so they have no excuse to slack off themselves. I expect them to work as hard as I do. The students I have this year really appreciate it. They appreciate getting tests back quickly and writing assignments too. It is nice. As stressful as this APPR and ELA test is this year, I am enjoying my job. My students are great.

Deb- did you try the onion? I wonder if it smells up the room, lol. I hope you are feeling well, if not better, then I hope you are not feeling worse. I am using hand sanitizer every five minutes at work.

Today was slightly better, except the bags under my eyes are getting real big:D I'm getting tired of chicken soup too! The salt gargle did work thanks Kristin!! Now if the brain fog would clear up . . . crossing my fingers to w/o on Friday.

Belinda - It sounds like your going to love the apartment too! It is perfect for Alesia. Can she walk to work?

Lori - What happened with the job?

Kristin - It must be a great feeling that you aced the observation. The salt gargle helps going to do it in a few minutes before bed.

Amelia - Tabatsize is the one that scares me the most:) but it's not in the rotation I'm doing;)

Cookie - Maybe when the dogs saw you up they thought it was morning;) Once my dog reached a certain age there was no getting her up!

Phatgyrl - Are you feeling better?

Today I did a weight watcher workout that I got from the meeting (it came with the starter kit I purchased). Its a 30 min interval training workout. Well, at least thats what I'm gonna call it:confused: The instructor had us doing 3mins of different exercises with weights and I was breathing hard...I pulled out this workout thinking it was easy:eek:

Kristin-Awesome compliments! I knew you would do great:) I too get very nervous during interviews so I understand. Nice job with xtrain legs! I agree with you on Tabatasice. I really enjoyed it but I do wish they would have made the premixes like how you were saying...

Deb- Glad to hear your slightly better. I also have my fingers crossed that you feel better tomorrow and can get a workout in.

Hello to everybody that follows. :) WWers is going well so far, I did have some 'withdraws' last night on snacking. Im kinda getting sick of fruit and veggies (zero points ) but I gotta press on...They said in their meeting Monday that it takes 21 days to form a habit and to break old ones. ;) Im on day 4:eek:

Amelia - I will got to WM today and buy an ankle spportive. Thanks for the link. Glad it's helping you. What is that WW workouts called? I saw one the other day in Costco? Wodering if it's the same workouts? Glad you had a great workout and got your butt kicked;)

Kirstin - glad your interwiew went well. So far I am liking the new workouts and they are fun.

Debbie - yes, Aleisa can walk to work. It's only a 8-10 min walk..if that. She also works in Boltimore 2x a week. Hope you feel better soon. Rest!

Good Morning:)

I don't remember when I checked in last:eek: I probably won't have time to read personals and respond to them right now b/c I have to get the kids off to school and lunches packed. No workout yesterday, 12 k on Tuesday and PS UB (minus back) and .....I'm not sure what I did for cardio...I think CF! Yeah, it was, cause my legs were sore on Tuesday from it:eek: I received the new workouts a couple of days ago:) I think today will be a tabata day.

I had the job interview yesterday and what a waste of time that was. DH even passed up a OT shift for it! The pay was only $11/hr....seriously? That's not even worth my time. By the time I pay a sitter myself, there would be no use. And it was 5 hours a day, not like 2 full days a week. Dribs and drabs. DH said I should just call them and say no thanks and spare them their time. I thought the wages was more then that. It's not want the opening said online, which makes me think I was interviewed for something different. Anyway..after that we went around and dropped off a few more resumes to some higher paying jobs. We've also looked into the other things I need to get my business up and running. Right now it's just a time thing.

Hey girls,

Went to the doc before lunch (not this afternoon:eek:got the times mixed up). He took xrays which showed I still have a heel spur in my right foot. I also got a steriod shot in my heel. My heel is still very inflamed :mad: I just want this pain to go away, it's been over 4 month. After my workout I could hardly walk last night. Doc told me not to do any high impact workouts, not evern yoga:confused: he thinks I am overstetching my foot. If I don't see a 50% improvement in 3 weeks, I have to go back for another steriod shot. Keeping my fingers crossed I don't need to go back for another shot:) That steriod shot was painful:confused:

As far as workouts go, I need to stop doing high impact workouts. I know Xtrain cardio is very high impact even her low HiiT, I still feel them in my heel with all that bouncing.:( I decited not to follow Cathe's 90 day rotation. I will do whatever I feel like doing that day, low impact;). For cardio I will do mostly walking either indoors or outdoors, I will use the elliptical or the bike until my foot completely healed. I know I am very stubborn when it comes to workouts, but I relized (a little late!):confused: I am not doing myself/foot any good.

This morning I did a 60 min ballet body workout, I know I shouldn't have done it:( but I did! I need to lay off yoga of any kind for the next 3 weeks.

Hey everyone. I am feeling tired today, but I scheduled my rest day for tomorrow, and with DS basketball game tomorrow, it would be near impossible to switch, so I pushed through HS. Five minutes into it and I found my energy, lol. That workout is awesome. It is intense, fun and short and sweet. The push ups/sit ups at the end really burn out my core and upper body.

This was the longest week of school. We started midterms this week. My subject was the first subject to give the midterm. Today and tomorrow is social studies. The kids were wired afterwards. We test these kids too damn much. Now with the evaluations in all subjects (except where there are state assessments, which is English and math) students take a baseline test in the beginning of the year, then a summative at the end. On top of that they have the state tests in English and math. Then midterms and finals. It is crazy. I told a colleague today that all this testing is killing the intrinsic love of learning for these children. I feel like a forced assassin of the love of learning. . . What are we doing?

Belinda- you really need to take it easy. Maybe just do upper body workouts? That stinks about the bone spur.

Lori- sorry the interview and the job weren't what you expected. $11 an hour does not get you much at all these days. Forget about childcare, geez.

Amelia- I never new weight watchers had videos. Good work. Sometimes what we think will be easy isn't because whenever we do something new the body is not sure what to make of it.

Deb- glad you are starting to feel better. Awesome that the salt water worked! My other DS is sick now :(. Cannot wait for spring, lol.

Hey Girls:)

Finally had time to catch up on personals. The baby is in bed and DS is settled away.

So I turned the job down. I told her that the pay just wasn't enough by the time I had to pay for child care for my own kids. She seemed to understand, I got a feeling it's not the first time she heard it. But then this afternoon, I got another call for a interview tomorrow afternoon. This one is at the car dealership and pays a lot better. Totally out of my element but whatever. I want to pursue the PT business but when it's time to go get a mortgage, the banks are gonna want something on paper.

Today's workout was xtrain bics and tris plus the 100 rep challenge, tabatize and super cuts:) See how many workouts you can try in one day:eek:

Belinda** I'm sure you could spin! Ha! DD's apt sounded like this one when we moved in. I still haven't cleaned the oven. I keep forgetting to get stuff. I had to clean the cupboards and the walls, it was far from clean.

Kristin** that's awesome about your review! It's always nice to hear good things. No child care for me! Lol it's not really what I wanted to do but I applied on anything that I could possible qualify for.

Amelia** nice workout! I really enjoyed tabatasize. The recovery wasn't much of a recovery!

Cookie** I'm guessing you've recovered from all that dog watching!?:p

Deb** minuses? Ha! It rarely gets in the pluses here! It was -35 Christmas time, I thought my skin was going to fall off. It was -5 the other day when I went for a run and it was nice. It's been snowing ever since. Hope you are feeling better!

Good Morning:)

I can certainly feel yesterday's workout! Ouch! My bum and my shoulders are hurting from super cuts and my bics and tris from the weight workout. I guess my chest, should, and back will be joining the club shortly cause that's what I plan on doing, plus a run.

I have a interview at 1:15. I'll try to pop back before that!
