'Morning!
Sorry for not checking in the past two days, but I have been thinking of you ladies! Had a late BOE meeting on Wednesday and last night I got in at 8, and just about passed out on the couch. Woke up at 3 this morning tho.
Belinda, I'm really liking xtrain and think the fast changes in exercises and lack of repeated sets makes things move along quickly. Some of the exercises are different, little tweaks, from prior ones so I'm very happy with it. That was a lot of steps yesterday.
Amelia, I try to do my meal prep at one time also. For me it is usually Sundays. If I wait til the evening to start dinner, we'd all be eating air. Are you doing the 90 day undulating or the one w/lis? I'm sort of doing a combo of both but I'm fearful of tabatize.
Kristin, I really dislike this time of year. Leaving home in the dark and coming back home in it again. For a combo anniversary, birthday, and Christmas gift I got a car starter. When we bought this car it was the one feature it didn't come with and guess my dh remembered my interest in it. Since I'm really grateful for it the past few mornings, I've decided to renew his contract for another month.
Lori, when we first moved here I knew no one but met a lot of folks thru the my kids' schools. A running club is fun. Fleece sounds good.
Just got a message of low battery and I still haven't bought a new charger yet so hope I finish...
Phatgirl, welcome! I find Cathe really motivating and challenges me like no other. What are your favorites so far?
Deb, the e-book is good and you can print from it. Your work sounds very busy. When do you expect it to slow down?
Did legs this morning. Still feeling it from two days ago and then 100 rep hip thrust challenge. Glad the series came out when it did - for me it helps to start w/new year.

Xtrain Bi's & Tri's (32mins) + LIS Yoga Relax premix 1

I did the yoga because my calfs are real tight and its making my PF worse

Cookie - I'm doing the 90 day undulating with some yoga thrown in a couple of times a week for my foot injuries. Nice job on Legs, I've got that scheduled for tomorrow morning. I too am glad the series came out just in time for the new year!

Deb-Nice job with B&G's, thats a toughie.

Yesterday's workout was Amy Bentos slo mo challenge ex back and Kari Anderson's abs. I planned on going for a run outside but that didn't happen. The baby is up early enough today that be should be having a nap within the next hour so I'll head to the basement then. I really need to do legs!

Ameila** I go to the lulu site everyday and look at the sales...cause one never knows!:p I've been eyeing two coats for running outside in the cold and my size sold out. When I got up today, try size was back! I bought it and when I checked (just to see) my size was gone. So there was only one in my size. I don't like the sound of your coworker either. I don't understand people who are so self absorbed. I thought about it after...if she was such a wonderful runner (or a sensible person) after I told her I had ran two marathons you think she would have added something to the conversation..she didn't ask a question or add anything really. If someone told me they did a tri, I'd make a conversation. Out of that. But I guess b/c it had nothing to do with her and it made her 10k seem minute, she didn't want anything to do with it. The more I think about her, the more I couldn't be bothered to see her again:eek:

Kristin** our realtor was going to take 2.5 but MLS is 4 which in our case will be about 13 G. I have a certain amount that I want to walk away with so we don't have a whole lot of room to play now that we will have to pay out that much money. Now that I'm talking to you about this, I'm just realizing how happy I am not to have to hear my mil chime in on the situation. When I was home and dh was away I'd have to listen to her and most times it didn't make any sense. She was afraid we were going to come out owing money:rolleyes:.Even my own mother didn't talk like that and she can talk about some foolish stuff. My mil is do paranoid, it's irritating.

Deb** I think you'll find better sells at lulu in the u.s then in Canada. When I read reviews on some items people talk about what a deal they got. And then it's listed on the site for even more. It's almost as if it goes to the u.s market first and then the price is reduced earlier then here. But it's a Canadian company...I don't get it. But apparently it's being made in china now so I suspect the quality is gong to decline a lot!

Cookie** your up early!!! And I thought that getting up at 6 was early. Guess I shouldn't complain.

Yesterday I did D40. Today I will go for a walk with the dogs.

Lori - I do have 2 pair of fleece lined running pants, love them! LOL, about your DH co walker and his GF. What was she thinking? I agree, on "I don't care" :p sometimes it's hard to do. Oh well! Happy Birthday to your DS.

Amelia - good job keeping up with your workout. Take it easy on your foot, girl. Othewise you end up like me.

Kirstin - sounds like Tabatacise isn't for me, hah? Too high impact looking at the clip..I was like."Oh, boy:rolleyes:!" LOL! Thanks for the tip on the dics, will try it. If we ever sell or buy another house, I wouldn't get a realtor. Ours made 10.000 for nothing! DH and I decited we would go straight through a lawer next time. I am not gonna pay a relator that kinda money twice, lol. They get a cut when you sell and buy a house. DH's old Army friend is a realtor and he also got a cut when we sold our house in El Paso and bought our house in WV, WTH? 3 different realtor's got money from us, isn't that crazy? I had now idea they all getting a cut? Isn't that something? Like I said, if we ever sell or buy....I would go through a lawer instead. Lessons lerned, right? LOL! Have you talked to a realtor already? Here in WV they have crazy realtor rules too, once you take to one you can't talk or buy from another one. That's nuts, hah?

Debbie - good job on B&G yesterday. How are your legs today? I need to make an appointment for the doc next week.

Phatgyrl2 - glad you like xtrain. How long have you been working out with Cathe?

Cookie - sounds like xtrain is an awesome program. Can't wait to start after my recovery week. I am not sure, if I want to start another 3 month rotaiton? We shall see.

Hard Strikes done!! A great workout! Bayer since Sept originally but I hurt my knee in Oct. so I had to take it easy but I am back with a vengence.

Yesterday ended up being a forced rest day:confused: couldn't walk or stand on my foot:eek::mad: I guess, I been walking/putting to much pressure on my foot. Now I had enough with this foot probleme:eek:


Today is my last STS workout, I will do D36:eek: YEAH! Another round.

Lori - how was your son's bday? Hope you all had fun.

Phatgyrl2 - wtg on Hard Strike! Take it easy on your knees, girl. I found Cathe in 2006:D I got all her workout dvds:rolleyes::eek: how many do you have? And which once are your favorite so far?

Did all out this morning. That's one I think Shape will have in its magazine next December as one of ten best of the year. I don't think anyone but Cathe does a low-impact high intensity workout of such high quality. Taking dd back to college today.

Good Morning:)

We are up early again this morning but I went to bed earlier so it's all good.

Yesterday's workout was a different one. When I got started I didn't know what I wanted to do. I did 15 mins on the TM, AB single premix and that barre workout in the low impact series. I've never done that one before. My friend borrowed my DVDs once and she tried all of them. She loved that one so I figured it was time to try it! It was good but I don't think I'm sore...yet. I'm thinking ill go for a run later today if its not to cold.

Belinda** I have to keep my eyes open for more pants now. I'm sure they will go on sale at some point in time. Lulu sales are usually Thursday mornings but they could update the site at any time. I need the ones with the splash of green;)

Cookie** nope...no 17 miles:p I'm trying to decide if I want to do another marathon in aug. I'm not as strong of a runner as I use to be. I just don't have the time to be running long distances anymore. When dh was away I didn't get outside to run very often cause I had my own kids plus babysitting my nieces. Not to mention when I get a job I won't have that much time on my hands.

Phatgyr12** nice workout! I can't wait to get my DVDs. I have a mail slip now...it could be one of three things! The other two are for my son...is it bad that I want it to be for me? Lol

Hello everyone. Yesterday was a rest day for me. Came home after work, cleaned up and cooked dinner (doesn't sound like rest to me, :rolleyes:). My cousin slept over and we rented Prometheus. It was a good movie, but glad I didn't spend $11 to go see it in the movies. Anyway. Did more cleaning today, laundry, lesson planning and then I got in my workout. I did Supercuts with the core #2 premix. Core #2 bonus is my favorite. I feel teh burn in my abs like never before. I did Core #2 earlier in the week and had AB DOMS, which I hardly ever get anymore. It seriously hurt to laugh, lol. Anyway. . . I am officially starting the 90 day rotation tomorrow. Anyone else in?

Lori- it is an outrageous amount of money for a realtor. . . but if it gets the house sold faster, maybe it is worth it a little bit? I don't know. I am afraid to do for sale by owner around here, because I don't know the laws very well and I don't want the house to sit for months, you know? I am not planning on puttin git up until at least the summer anyway, maybe later. BTW- I hope the slip is for you and you get these dvds soon. They are wonderful.

Deb- Tabatacise doesn't come up until week five of the rotation. Then it is in four weeks five through eight. I am planning on adding on each week. So week five I will do tabatas 1 & 2. Week six will be 1, 2, and 3. Week sven 1, 2, 3, and 4. Until week 8 I will do all five (I think :eek:). We shall see. Are you going to do the 90 day rotation?

Cookie-Work this week wasn't bad at all .. . it was only three days. It is just hard getting up in the dark and cold. I LOVE my students this year, though. Friday, instead of leaving exhausted, I left with a big smile on my face. My students appreciate all the SMARTboard activities I create and they are just wonderful. Out of 150 students on Friday 3, a total of 3, did not have thier homework. It is an amazing year so far!

Belinda- I am afraid to sell it by myself because when I put it up I don't want to wait and see if it sells, I want it sold to move on. . . but we shall see. I do have a lawyer friend I can ask for advice. . . hmmm. . . Yea on finishing STS. Did you go up in weights again? Boo on your foot. REst it!!!

Phatgyrl- I love HS. It is my new favorite boxing/kickboxing dvd. Are you starting the rotation?


Okay off to shower. . . We are going bowling with friends again. Lol. I am going to bowl higher than my 7-year -old this time. . . that's my goal, lmao!

I'm so happy I can finally workout! Yesterday I took a yoga class, it's funny because everyone gave me a big hello & you could see they were wondering where I was . . . slacking LOL:p Today I did Muscle Max, didn't have time to do 1 RM if I don't I'm winging it. I like that Cathe lists her weights & I usually have to go under so it could work.

DH is getting sick but we're going to grab a bit to eat.

Belinda - Congratulations on finishing STS now I hope you take the rest week especially for your foot:)

Lori - The manager at our gym was telling someone she always wears Lulu & everyone was asking her where she gets it. You should go for the marathon your are in great shape for it.

Kristin - Bowling is fun hope your arms aren't too sore for it;) I don't think my rotation includes tabatacise.

Amelia - Does work calm down for you this month too? Maybe not with Football?

Cookie - I'm so glad you can print from the e-book. Have fun taking DD back.

Phatgyrl - Are you doing one of the new rotations?

Xtrain Legs done this morning. I did standing and the floor parts. It was a fun and zero dread factor workout for me. So far Xtrain is awesome...short and sweet:D

Tomorrow is All Out premix #1. Can't wait to do this one:)

I will try and caught up with you all tomorrow:)

Amelia, I think you are going to love the low impact hiit. At least I did yesterday. At first it didn't seem hard but I was glistening at the end.
Kristin, the homework ratio would be reversed in our district! I am a pathetic bowler and I'm sure your sons would howl w/laughter at my game.
Lori, I agree w/Deb - you should do a marathon. I'm going to have to check out lulu it sounds. Maybe that will be my reward for eventually completing xtrain 90 day rotation. Hope the mail was for you.
Phatgirl, hardstrikes didn't bother my knees - hope it didn't yours. Can't remember but may have done part of it on a rebounder though.
Deb, I bet you were missed at the gym. How are your inlaws?
Yesterday got some sourdough bread at a wonderful bakery! Yummmm. Unfortunately, I liked it a little too much. Working it off today with chest, shoulders, back and a walk.

Lori - I wasn't gonna buy anything this month...whent to Victoria Secret yesterday and end up spending $100! What's wrong with me? After that I went to Costco and bught I think those cute workout pants, I think they Lulu! Which pants are you talking about? Can you post a pic?
Kirstin - it may be different in NY? I hear you on wanting to sell your house.
 
Debbie - yeah, on getting a workout in yesterday. I will take a rest week, my feet will thank me.

Yesterday's workout was MM UB, PH abs and 15.2 k run outside. My legs are a little tight this morning but not sore. I think today I will do a shorter cardio and legs.

Last night we watched the chimpanzee movie. Anyone see it? It is amazing now much they are like humans. In the meantime I like how they watch the babies get into harms way (like climbing trees) and be like "oh well, he'll learn not to do that again when he lands on his head". Why can't we do that?! Lol. Our kids aren't so quick to learn! Or mine aren't anyway.

Belinda** I read something not that long ago about someone buying lulu at winners. I don't know if it was actual lulu, knock of lulu (cause its made it china now....knock off central) or lulu with defects. They have so many pairs of pants and they discontinue a lot of it. That's why its all the rage cause if I buy a pair of pants I really like, I need to stock up cause they won't make anymore like it. And it's the same with colours of things. I have colours of tank tops you can't buy anymore. That's why people can put it on eBay for more then it's worth. What are the pants called? Oh and your talking to the wrong one about not spending money. I don't even have a job.....

Deb** everyone at the gym probably thinks your New Years resolution is to get back at it;) When I went for my first run here, on New Year's Day I figured people were thinking that I was out for my resolution. Shortly after dh and I went for a drive and there was a girl running,he said "oh...new years resolutions":confused: Proved my point!

Kristin** it's a lot of money to pay someone to walk people through your house b/c there really isn't a whole lot they can do to convince them to buy it. They either like it or they don't. DH could have sold our house if he was home. He's a good salesman.

Did the elliptical for 40 min at the gym. I could have gone longer but I hit the switch on my ipad. Oh well! Still had a great workout. I really enjoy going to the gym again. The commissary is right next to the gym on base, so we go grocery shopping afterwards. LOL!
 
Lori - I read on another fitness site, that Costco's workout cloth are from Lulu? I think the cute, I bought some last year and the fabric is holding up nicely. I am thinking getting the jacket too? Not that I need anymore workout cloth.LOL, I don't have a job...and still spend money. I didn't see the chmipanzee moveie? I did see a movie with Marilyn Monroe called "Monkey Business" that movie was so funny:eek:. They had chimpazie in the movies too. One of my old time favorite movies. You can watch it for free on amazon.

Hi ladies. I had an awesome night last night. The bowling was fun, although I totally was pathetic. I bowled lower than my kids. . . no joke. I won't even tell you my scores because they are so embarassing. After bowling we went back to our friends' house and I had a few too many drinks. We were there very late. I woke up around 6 a.m. very dehydrated and with a bad ass headache. I drank two full bottles of water and tylenol and went back to sleep. The morning was rough, but I felt better. I think because I got up and drank all that water and took Tylenol. . . it saved me.

Anyway. . . I started the 90 day rotation today with Chest, Back and Shoulders, Disc 1. I did the first premix, to add the core workout, and I also added on some cardio, CF Low Impact Tabata premix. Overall, I burned 685 calories, which will help offset my cheat night last night. Once I was "buzzed" I ate everything in sight. I lsot all self control. . . pizza, wings, more wings, popcorn, ugh!

I loved the weight workout on this disc. It was hard, fast-paced, and I loved how we didn't repeat any moves. The eight rounds went quickly, but you still lift heavy. I had to go lighter on the prone back flys though. They were really hard. This workout was great! The music was fantastic too. No lyrics, but not that rock guitar like from TBT.

Belinda- nice job on the elliptical. How is your foot holding up? Any better? Costco carries lulu? Oh no, you shouldn't have revealed that, lol. My DH is a regional manager for the food demo company that does the demos at Costco. . . I'll have to ask him about this and then start throwing hints, lol.

Lori- you are right, it is a lot to have them show the house. People will like what they like, no matter what. The Chimpanzee movie, is that the Disney movie? It is on Demand now and I had not heard of it, but I watched the preview and it looked good. Did your kids like it? BTW- my younger DS doesn't listen to any warnings I give him. .. every once in a while I let him "learn on his own" because he is so stubborn. Lol. Then I feel guilty. :rolleyes:

phatgyrl- what did you decide to do today? Do you plan your meals for the week?

Cookie- sourdough bread fresh from the bakery. .. mmm mmmm. . . that sounds divine!

Amelia- how'd you like All Out? I thought it was fantastic from start to finish. I liked the transitions from floor to step to discs, it made the workout go even faster.

Deb- did you do the 1 RM? I never finished. I figured what is the point if the cards aren't avaliable yet? I am not going to take the time to try to calculate it in my own, lol. :eek::rolleyes:

I did yoga and xtrains 22 minute HIIT. I try to plan my meals in advance but I want to get better to avoid eating all that junk at work. Now I have to work on that gallon of water a day.

I decided not to workout today & go all out with the rotation tomorrow. I'm still going to take some classes at the gym because I hate to pay & not use it. Kristin your right I realized that today that the cards aren't ready so I pulled out my STS 1rm & will try and figure something out.

Belinda - Tomorrow I'm planning to do some of my returns & hopefully won't get tempted to buy too:rolleyes: Is the base gym close to your house?

Lori - DH & I were just saying how packed the gyms are, your right it's the New Year's resolutioners. I said to him I wonder why they stop, he thinks they get too sore:D How do you like running routes in this town?

Kristin - When the weather is cold it seems like drinking & snacking go hand in hand so we can get through it;) This week it's going to warm up . . . so excited. That was some calorie burn!

Amelia - I like to hear short & sweet;) The reviews of X-train sound awesome.

Cookie - My in-laws are doing good . . . fighting a lot but I guess when your married over 50 years that happens:) Yum, that bread sounds good. Do you like the shorter workouts?

Phatgyrl - Meal planning is great. I'm trying not to overbuy because I tend to do that & things go bad. I'll just eat the same thing for a few days.

Belinda, the awesome bread was purchased in Providence, RI. My sourdough recipe is from King Arthur Flour, and there are a lot of recipes for free on their website. I highly recommend the sourdough popovers - OMG I had to make them every morning while my dd was home. There's directions for making your own starter also on their site.
Amelia, are you already thinking of baseball season?
Lori, not sure about the regs in your area, but some folks get their realtor certificate just so they can sell their and then buy another. So did you look up a running club?
Kristin, bet you beat me in bowling. Pathetic does not even begin to describe me, but I now enjoy being so bad since then there's no expectations for me to be good! However, I'm not like that in many other things. I decided to no longer play Scrabble or Boggle once I noticed I always wanted to win.
Phatgyrl, are you feeling the aftereffects of xtrain? I do most food prep on Sundays and it saves me so much time during the week. I even write down what the menu is for the week so I don't have to think about it, plus then I have fewer science experiments in the fridge.
Deb, are you jumping on the train today? Will you use classes in lieu of some of the cardio workouts?
I'm feeling exhausted today. Watched Downtown Abbey (til 11:00!!!) and then did cardio leg blast. Good way to start the week and I knew I couldn't get the time in later in the week for this long wo.
