I will do 21 DF UB Fix this morning.

Wendy - nice job on RWH Upper Body Circuit yesterday. Yes, I do the containers:)

Christinae - thank you! The cherry blossoms are ver beautiful. Yesterday my eye were swollen :( It was all worst it, lol! Step Heat is a good workout, good job.

Last night I took off because I was super tired. :)

Tonight was RWH Legs and man, this workout is SO.GOOD. I love how I feel afterward.

Christine-Thank you! Oh I am TERRIBLE at learning step routines! I mean, it takes me FOREVER. Loads of stopping and staring at the screen with a question mark over my head. Sometime I never get the move so I substitute something else instead (Lame, I know.) I remember Step Heat and for YEARS the last combo lost me!! Finally I gave up. Out of Cathe's, I have mastered the step in Cardio & Weights and 4DS Low Impact Step.

Belinda-Good job on 21 Day Fix!

Belinda - So interested to hear you are doing 21 DF. What do you think so far? My dh has been saying he wants to get his eating on track - I bet he would like the simplicity of the different containers...maybe I should look into it for him.

Wendy - Haha - we are two peas in a pod. I remember getting SOO frustrated trying to learn the high impact step from 4 DS. I just about kicked the TV I was so confused! In particular, I can never tell what side of the step Cathe is on -- the "toward the TV" side or the "away from the TV side." Maybe I have some kind of step dyslexia....I just do knee ups until we get back to the part of the combo that I know! I figure, as long as I am moving, it's got to be doing something, right?

Did 4 DS bootcamp today - that is such a good workout and it goes by quickly. All the jumping scares my cats though....I think they are under the bed right now :)

Took a break from videos uyesterday...but I did walk back and forth to my job, 25 minutes each way.

Christina - I love 21 DF:) The containers are helping me a lot with my eating. It's a really eye opener:) Do you have a coach?

Hi everyone. Sorry I haven't been on for a few days. Sunday was gorgeous outside, but my allergies kicked in big time. I couldn't breathe. I was literally sneezing every two minutes. Ugh! I did not even work out. I was able to walk the dog, but that was it. The last two days I could not work out either, between work and my son's baseball games, I did not get home the last two nights until after 8. Anyway, I did a jog with the dog today and then picked up with STS again. I did M2 D16, CST. I have to say, some of the weights were too heavy for me, especially the tricep work. I find that with certain muscles, once I struggle, I cannot get the weight up, and that is especially true with triceps and me. I had to lower my weight for the tricep extensions and then again with the side leaning overhead extensions. Oddly enough, I was able to do my 1RM for the kickbacks. Weird.

Belinda- were your eyes swollen from the allergies too, lol. Even though I suffered on Sunday, I was happy to feel sunshine on me. Loving the spring weather this week :).

Cookie- well NY parents have spoken. . . wonder if the governor can hear us now. I don't know what your opt out numbers are upstate, but here on Long Island, most districts are reporting at least 50% opt out. A student of mine before break saw me in the hallway on my duty and said I looked down. I said yes, I am feeling down and he came back with, "Man got you down, huh?" I nodded. Well, today, he sees me in the hallway again and he raises a fist in the air as he says to me, "I stuck it to the man for you, Mrs. Antinoro." I asked, "What man?" He answered, "Cuomo." I was surprised that he would know what is going on being as though he's a 13 year old kid and he really has no parents. He is being raised by his grandmother because his mom is in jail and the grandmother refused to come to school for a meeting last year. He said he watches the news and every time he hears something that Cuomo wants to do to teachers, he thinks of me and thinks it isn't right. He said I was the best teacher he ever had. . . made my day! Heck, made my year!

Christinae- LOL at your cats hiding when you are doing all the jumping with 4DS BC. I wish I had that problem. If I don't fence my dog, Baxter, in the den when I do a workout (he's a boxer), he wil jump right on me and get me to the ground. . . he's so quiet when he does it too, lol. I'de rather he hide in fear, haha.

Wendy- I get so frustrated when I can't get a step routine down. I prefer the athletic step routines to the dancier ones. I really love PRS 2, and have been on the fence about getting the first one because I heard through the forums that the routine is so complicated. The first time I did Athletic Step, I fell, lol.

Is Deb in Montreal or in Florida again? She is one lucky girl!

Last night was RWH Chest, Shoulders and Triceps.

Kristin-I remember everyone talking about how easy Athletic Step was choreo wise and I was BAFFLED by it. PRS2-I think I've done that a handful of times. Not mastered completely, but not standing watching the TV a lot either. Maybe I should do that this week! I love that you inspired a student so much. :)

Belinda-If I would have attempted a workout it would have been a HUGE FAIL, LOL. :)

Christina- I LOVE KNEE UPS lol. They are the choreo challenged stepper's BFF!!! Wow, I haven't done BC in FOREVER. I kind of forgot about that one.

Belinda, that's a lot of steps. Do your allergies bother you at this time of year? Mine go crazy. How's the Zumba?
Kristin, how did yesterday's first day go? When our kids were young, our friends pretty much were the parents of their friends. Now we're back to the ones we had before and only a few of the parents. Life really does revolve around the kids -oh and their sports.
Christinae, OMG I haven't done step heat in a while. I remember the first time doing it - got a massive headache trying to figure it out. That was a while ago tho. Take it easy, you sure don't want any complications.
Wendy, congrats! I really enjoyed it. When in May do you anticipate the next release?
Got in abou 12 miles yesterday, 4 before work, a couple during day, and then the rest last evening. This morning just 100s. Have a long day today with ending with a meeting from 4 - 8! Of course, it is w/o
 
Well, I just posted the above post, since it looks like I didn't do it the other day! Gosh, I am losing it.
Belinda and Kristin, my allergies also have been bad, but thankfully so far Tylenol Sinus works well for me - better than any sinus prescriptions have done.
Belinda, I'm guessing using the containers limits your portion size. Am I correct? What have you noticed in regards to your portions when you don't have the containers with you?
Kristin, we're an urban district, so our opt out numbers are lower. Since we have to worry about ayp anyway, it isn't something we've actively promoted. However, our surrounding suburban districts are above 50%. That's fantastic about what your student said. Kids notice who cares about them.
Christina, I have two left feet and have never even tried PS2. Like you, I do step ups a lot when I can't figure out what's going on. I do like the peg-leg mambo combination on 4DS. Funny about your cats hiding under your bed.
Wendy, do you like kickboxing? I can handle that so much more than step, which I'm better at than dance routines. I'm just one uncoordinated person. But I love kickboxing.
Deb, hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Eight miles today! Now, just finishing up dinner and cleaning the kitchen. Hope I don't fall asleep before reading the paper.

Hey everyone. I was tired, but I got my workout in. I did STS M2 D17, Legs. My legs are fried. My dvd got stuck in the last trisets, so I had to do them, without Cathe. I thought about just quitting for a moment, but I pushed through. Glad I did. I am up to 32# for DB Squats and 40# Db (single dumbell) for Plie Squats. :D

Cookie- the AYP and losing funding is a myth. No school has lost funding for not meeting AYP to date in the country. Plenty of districts didn't meet AYP last year. Tisch threatened it earlier this week, but then came out today saying that she would fight if gov't tried to punish districts with $ because it would be punishing the students. She was on Tuesday night with Chris Hayes on MSNBC with Diane Ravitch. I was happy with how that went. . . he did not let her spew her BS. He called her on a few things. She tried to say this was between the union and the gov. As if she wasn;t at public forums two years ago with parents, refusing to listen to what they had to say. Even now. . . some districts have 65-70% opt outs and she says it's the union. Our union told us not to get involved in the opt out movement until a few weeks ago. LI Opt Out and NYSAPE organized over two years ago to oppose these ridiculous tests.

Wendy- another step routine that made me stop and rewind a bunch of times was IMAX 3, the first combo, lol. I think I had a hard time with one of the segments in Low Impact Challenge as well, lol. One of my favorite "easy" step workouts is Low Impact Challenge. Another is Step Moves (for when I don't want a full hour or too intense of a workout).

Good morning,

I will do 21 DF Cardio Fix today.

Cookie - I don't have allergies. Something triggered my sinus at the cherry blossom? My sinus have been bad lately. I need to check out Tylenol Sinus. Yes, I am using the container. They really are not limiting my portion size. They are teaching me to eat clean and the right amount of food . A few day's ago, we had grilled chicken. I added 3 red containers with cut up chicken. My husband was amazed at how much chicken I get to eat:) I have more meat on my plate than he did :p If you eat the right food (clean food) you get to eat a lot, IMO :) Before the containers I wasn't eating enough protein and too my carbs. What have I noticed in regards to my portions when you don't have the containers with you? Well, I make healthier choices when eating out. We went to a restaurant (Irish Pub) with the kids in DC 2 weeks ago. Everything on the menu wasn't 21 Day approved:D So I ordered a egg omelet with salmon, no bread. If I want something that isn't 21 Day approved, I only eat a bite or one piece. I am more in control now than I was before. The idea is to make healthier choices with food. Since doing the containers, I have hardly cravings for sweets. I eat one piece of chocolate on the weekend as a reward, but that's it. I do get to eat 3 servings of fruit a day, maybe that helps. Even my husband is eating a lot healthier. The containers are just an eye opener for me. I am not hungry on the containers, I am always full :)


Kirstin - I agree, IMAX3 is a tough combo :) WTG, pushing through your workout yesterday. RS is a lot of fun. You don't have it?

Wendy - amazing job with RWH Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Don't feel bad about learning step routines. I stopped buying step workouts, like you it takes me forever to learn :) Once you know the routine, it's a lot of fun :)

Hi Ladies!

Last night was Low Impact Challenge Premix (the one that is 36 minutes.)

My left knee is telling me today I've done too much impact too soon. Shall rest tonight to see if that helps.

Kristin-You lift some heavy weights! Well done! Oh, Step Moves. There was one part that drove me insane. I should preview it and see what it was. ;-) I did better with the Low Impact Step Challenge last night but not nearly perfection yet, LOL!

Cookie-My next book, The Definition of Icing, comes out on May 27. :) I'm super excited about this one-I think people who loved Waiting for Prince Harry will love it (it's another Dallas Demons Hockey Romance) and Harrison & Kylie are in this one. :) Good job with all your miles!!

Belinda-You're right about learning the routine-once you do it's fun. It just takes me a veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnngggggggggg time to learn them. :)

Hey guys. Just finished RWH LI 1 plus abs 1. I don't know if that was very wise after doing legs yesterday. My legs are super tight now, lol.

This weekend we are going to be getting beautiful weather. DS has bb games both days, but I'll be happy to be out in the sun. I have papewrwork to do, but I got called in to jury duty and have to serve on Monday, so I can bring my paperwork their :).

Wendy- LICH is a tough one to learn, I think. I had a hard time with the last combo, steping diagonally over the box and then back, that move bothered me.

Belinda- RS is one of the few Cathe workouts I never bought, lol. I don't have RS, Slow and Heavy, Pure Strength and the first set of step workouts.

Hi everyone,

Sorry I haven't checked in. We are enjoying our vacation the weather is great. We visited DH's Aunt & Uncle, we took our nephew to Busch Gardens & went to the gym 3 times. It is not off-setting the eating though:( It looks like Florida skipped spring & summer is here. We have been going to the beach everyday. We get back on Tuesday.

I hear you are having Spring weather, awesome!!! Great job with your workouts:)

Belinda - I agree with everything you said about the containers, can't wait to go back to them to get my eating in control:)

Kristin - That was a great compliment your student gave you & it's is impressive you can have that influence on your student!

Cookie - It sounded like you had a great time in Quebec. I'm sure a much needed rest.

Super quick check in to say HI! And wish everyone a good weekend.

I finished Cross Train Express 10-10-10 and now I have to get ready for......an evening of socializing with my boss and his wife (dun dun DUN). I wanted to workout beforehand so I would be too tired to be nervous :)
 
Just finished STS M2 D18, Back and Biceps. My back was strong and stayed true to the 1RM weight. Biceps struggled. I was lifting 40# BB plus weighted gloves, but I only got 9 reps in the first set, then 8 in second, 7 in the last. Also for concentration curls I was supposed to use 20# DB. I couldn't even lift it, my biceps were already exhausted. I had to go down to 15#.

Beautiful day today. We spent the day outside. My son's in house team season started today. We marched in the parade and then DS played his game. They won 20-0.

Deb- It was very touching and reminded me why I went into teaching. . . I forget with all that is going on now. I haven't been to Busch Gardens since I was a kid. Next time we are in Florida, I want to remember to go there with my boys. We always focus on Disney.

Christinae- nice job on the workout. Hope this evening went well :)

Sorry for not checkin in yesterday:( Something didn't agree with my stomach :) I had zucchini last night, didn't go well. I noticed the last 2 times I had zucchini the same thing happened, my stomach go really upset? I feel much better now, thank goodness :)

I did do 21 Day Fix Dirty 30 late this afternoon.

Wendy - it took me forever to learn RS :) don't feel bad.

Kirstin - I have all the ones, you mention. I hardly ever reach for them. If you have Cathe's newer stuff stick with that :) DH and I spent most day outside today too. Good job today.

Debbie - glad you had fun in FL! The containers makes a huge difference. The containers are very easy to use :) DH and I are going to Miami next week :)

Cookie - wow on your miles yesterday :) That's amazing! Keep it up, girl! I am excited to go to FL, need a vacation. I bought some workout dvd's that I can do easily in the RV. This way I don't have to carry DB's around with us. I have more control over what I eat right now, thanks to the containers :) I don't feel good eating lots of crap :) Life isn't about stopping you from enjoying the foods you love, it's about eating in moderation :) I sill enjoy food that I love, but less. It's working for me.
