I just wanted to take a moment to come out of lurkdom to thank all of you wonderful ladies who take the time to answer questions and to post your experiences with other workouts...because of you I have discovered Cardio Coach:). These workouts are awsome and I have actually secretly done the last two Press Play Saturday's and look forward to the one coming up! These are hard with the challenges added on! I also love reading all of your posts with regards to diet and nutrition, you all are so knowledgeable and informed! Okay, this got long but once again thank you all! BTW I have ALL of the CC workouts now!;)

Have a great day!

Hi Christy!

I agree, Cardio Coach is great! I bought 3 volumes to start, and then realized I couldn't live without any of them. So I bought them all!
PP is my all time favorite. I use it when I need a good kick in the pants, feeling sorry for myself, or feeling completely unmotivated.

Coach Sean is dreamy isn't he? You have seen his pictures? drool:p

Just wanted to say hi and welcome:D

Oh yeah! Coach Sean is hawwwwt for sure! These workouts took my running to a whole new level and make me push alot harder than I would push myself. I like PP when I need some real motivation too, I had an accident 4 years ago and long story short I'm not only lucky to be alive but also still have my legs. I keep meaning to email Coach Sean my story of the first time I did PP. I got off my TM and started bawling trying to tell DH how inspirational that workout is!

Christy

Hi Christy :)

I've never tried a CC workout...I know it's a shame :eek::eek:!!

I just wanted to welcome you and hope to see you posting often :)

Hi Christy, and welcome -- I'm so glad you came out of lurkdom!

Another CC fan here. I just love them all, and I can't do PP without crying. I live in Ohio where we just had a major windstorm, and we were without power for 4 1/2 days. My DH was on a business trip so I was home alone and so lonely! Thank God I charged my iPod before the power went out because it was my CC workouts that kept me sane. I didn't have a way to actually do the workouts, but just listening to them lifted my spirits. It was like being with an old friend. Oh gawd, that's so sappy, isn't it -- lol!!!

You should email Coach Sean and tell him about yor PP experience ;) . Please feel free to join our check-in group in the CC forum. We'd love to have you! You too, Cynthia, and anyone else who loves CC workouts. :D

Christy! I like CC, too. :D

Welcome!! Thanks for sharing your story. CC is amazing - you have discovered a real gem! Sometimes, when I am breathing so hard that I think I will surely not make it, and my legs are screaming, I picture that dreamy man standing next to me, and I would never dream of letting him down. I push on, and boy, do I ever feel good b/c of it!

Now, to you other two who have never tried CC. Whatever are we going to do with you??? Shame, shame, shame :p

Starting to figure out a little bit about cardio coach, but still not sure what it is...(and sort of *skeered* to ask a repeat question!;))
I get that Coach Sean is amazing! and you download the programs onto your ipod???? I have an mp3 enabled phone, does that work?
Can you use it for elliptical training programs? Running?

Welcome to the forums Christy! I joined in 1999 but have gone from 9 posts as of July this year to over 100! It's an addicitve place!

Becky,

You shouldn't be afraid to ask questions!

Yes, CC are downloaded on a mp3/ipod player. My son created my files that I keep in my itunes folder.

I don't know anything about ipod phones, so I'll leave that to someone else. Michelle may know. I'm almost 100% certain Veranda would know, but I don't know when she is coming back.
Michelle may have some suggestions.

As far as what equipment to use. I use an ellipitcal with CC and it works great!! Couldn't love my elliptical anymore now that I have Coach Sean to help me through it all.
The entire CC experience is amazing. I've never worked harder, or felt more inspired during a workout. IMO, it's a total mind, body, spirit workout:)

Becky, you can ask as many questions as you like, repeats or not ;) :)

I don't know about the phone thingy but I THINK you can download workouts onto it. You can download CC to an iPod or any mp3 player.

I recommend reading over the Quick Start Guide on the CC website. It covers lots of great information about how to use the workouts, including the CC perceived levels of exertion, heart rate training zones, stationary equipment, and portable music players. Here's the link: http://www.cardiocoach.com/about.php

I have an elliptical and it's PERFECT for CC workouts. :D

Welcome Christy! Good to have you here!!

I, too, love Cathe and my Cardio Coaches!!

I look forward to your posts!

1st off ~ thanks for the links! and for not flaming me for asking about an often questioned topic! :p:cool::D

2dly~ thanks a super lot for convincing me this may be something I cannot live without!!!!!! ;)
I've been doing cycling classes at the Y, but am thinking they could be what has re-aggravated my sciatica this past week. I can ride a real bike no problem, but think I need to give spin a break until I can figure out how best to position myself. Sooooo I'm looking for something to make the elliptical more interesting, challenging, etc. I bet I just found it!

Thanks again!
(sorry I hijacked the thread Christy! welcome again!)

First - welcome to Christy.

Second - Becky, I use my phone as an MP3 player a lot. I had to get a memory card. I have Verizon wireless service. I had to download a program onto my computer and can now download songs, create playlists, etc. just like I can with iTunes. What kind of phone do you have?

Carrie

Becky - I am always advocating the wonders of the bicycle trainer. So much more comfy than a spin bike. You use your regular bike and hook it into the trainer, and it turns into sort of a spin bike (basically, only the back wheel turns.) Mine is the Cycleops brand, the fluid trainer. I may have even told you about this before - these just aren't very well known about for some reason so I'm always talking about them when somebody brings something up about biking. I've used mine for just riding and watching TV, for Spinervals DVDs and for CC.

Hey Becky - just wanted to add that I bought the CC workouts in the CD form and use them in my CD player in the basement for my elliptical and bike. So, if you don't have a MP3 player you can still use them in your CD player.

I emailed Coach Sean about offering PP in CD format and instead of replying, he just sent it to me and I got it in 2 days. I was so suprised when I got my mail. He is such an awesome guy! I immediately went and made my contribution to the foundation. So, even if you are tech challenged (or don't have a MP3), like me, you can still do CC.:D

This is the reason I will never grow tired of answering CC questions. I know we joked about how many CC threads there are, but seriously... Coach Sean is an amazing person and he deserves nothing but praise.
Promoting his workouts is the very least I can do for all he has given me.

What a nice guy! Truly.

Yes he is! He absolutely restores my faith in mankind.

Speaking of his kindness and generosity, he posted an offer on his website to try a workout for free. Here's a link: http://www.cardiocoach.com/
