::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Tues., 2/6

Christine,

If you are sick and don't think you could perform your job well and ESPECIALLY if you have a fever STAY HOME!!!! Sending get well vibes your way!!!!

Ok, back for a few personals
Judy—We have another snow day because of the extreme cold. We did get our garage door fixed y’day morning, so that’s a relief. Have fun with your EXT. I always have a hard time picking which Cathe UB to do. I like the West Coast chili recipe in Vegan Planet, too. I’m a fan of the BM2 Upperbody premix where you do 2 sets of everything.

Karen- you are right that my kids are Soooo happy. They are doing a combo of chores and fun things today. Sending you some ice for that fire! I hope the easy run helps cool things off!

Gayle –a well-deserved rest, I must say. It’s great your school system can do a delay instead of Cx the whole day.

Kristi—thanks for the high fives on the run. I appreciate it. It’s brute force getting myself to squeeze in the w.o. so early in the a.m. but unless I do that, it won’t happen. Have fun with your 3.5 miles run. I love that distance, especially on the TM.

Christine—I hope you feel better. Tough call on the sick thing. I often appreciate it when people I work with cancel when they are sick . Your post are selfcenterrific….

Shelly-- Have fun with DM! thanks for encouraging me to do that work out. I like it now.

Jess -- good job with the massage.

Marcia -- stay warm.

Ok -- ding -- out of time.
Hi to all the other wonderful Cheetahs!
-Barb
:)

Judy - I LOVE the Clean Eating issue of Oxygen, I'm only a part way through and have gotten LOTS of great information from it. I can't wait to get some more time to read the rest. I brought it to work so instead of listening to all the 'drama', I'm going to find a quiet place to read instead. :)

Have a great day!
Marcia.

Good morning cheetahs

Cathy...good job with Powerstrike and have fun with MM this afternoon.

Sunny...it is tough to do that 90 min of yoga, I know I did it a few times and fast forwarded in a few areas to get it to about 60 min. Wow 9 clients today...way to go!

Wendy...sorry about Joey's ear infection. Hopefully the antibiotics will make him feel better. Good job squeezing in CST yesterday. I think you could sub kickbacks for the lying extentions. Crossbody extensions could work too if they don't bother the elbow. I am doing an Imax today...just for something different.

Jess...Kristi gave the best links for the descriptions of freestyle, there were a ton of threads about a year ago...it might be a good thing for you but can be a time hog.

Barb...good job getting in a workout today. Are the kids out of school due to the weather?

Judy...I'll be usuing P90X weights for the next 3 weeks. Except for legs, I do Cathe then. Some of the UB premixes on the new DVDs are quite fun.

Karen...that is cool you won $100 due to the fumbles! I know I'll miss football but now I can get more things done on Sundays. Karen...you are cracking me up with your 'butt on fire" comments...an easy run could take out the kinks...:)

Shelly...have fun with Drillmax and that is great you might get the EXT today! What kind did you get?

Gayle..sounds like you needed some rest. Enjoy your workout or rest day...

Elaine...good workout yesterday. Well about the 90 min a day, sometimes it might be a bit more. YogaX is already 90 min, but you could sub something elso. Most of the weight workouts of P90X are about 60 min and AbRipper X is 15 min. It just depends how much cardio you want to do on top of the weights. I wouldn't try the rotation while training for a marathon though.

Christine...wow! I am amazed at eating meat could cause the 10 lb weight, that alone would make me stay vegetarian! I have not tried that East Coast chili. Sorry about the dryer situation. I can't believe how much laundry we have for 2 people!! Sorry about the cold. I think staying home would be the best thing.

Kristi...the bed has been really nice and very much needed. Yes I am lucky to have many trails here to run and most have some good views. I have not done Push Pull in some time. Enjoy your 3.5 mile run today.

I will be doing S&H legs and Imax3...need to fry the lower body!

Have a great day...:)

OK Cheetahs, I posted a healthier eating thread, so go post!! I thought it would be easier if we had another thread to post to, since it's hard enough to keep track here! ;-)

Cheetahs~~ I need a hug.

The sound just went on my Work out area TV. There was a pop and then no sound. I could haul the weights upstairs, but DH is going to NEED sound for his TM session this evening. There must be something going around with all these TV fatalities!

Judy "Likes2bfit"

If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.

Oh, Judy. HUGS, as requested!!!!!!!!!!

Well, so much for a rest day! LOL. I've got a burst of motivation and will hit the basement as soon as the kids get on the bus. I think a cardio premix of LIC to take it easy on the legs and then GS C&T. Feeling like push ups today in honor of all you P90X'ers!

Gayle

I'll give you a hug if you give me one!! The TV repair man is coming on Wed to look at ours. Greg thankfully moved our 27" TV down here. The funny thing was that all I cared about was being able to do my workouts, I don't care about not being able to watch tv!! ;-) Hope it can be fixed soon!

Aw Judy....that is not fun when the sound goes out....http://www.emotihost.com/glass10/4.gif[/img]

Barb and Carol- The run did help but now that it's over the intense fire is back. Barb you can have you kids throw some snowballs at my rear for pracitce to cool these cheeks off. I did 30 min of yoga afterward to try and stretch it out. Everytime I would jump into plank my cheeks would shake in pain. I'm telling you I feel like sticking my a@@ in the freezer.

Good morning ladies,
Everyone in this house is healthy today, thank goodness! I have a fairly busy day today. I am going to pt this morning and then rushing home to do legs and glutes before I get Mariah and then I am having my girlfriends over for tea in the afternoon and then my oldest is getting a cavity filled, Whew, lots to do:)

Cathy, my girlfriend got the new powerstrike and also said it was too easy. Enjoy Muscle Max later.

Sunnydelite, I find that the people who can't sit still long enough for the yoga, really need the yoga. I am definitley one of those people and I just look at it now as down time and more of a nurturing thing that I do for the body. Especially the breathing part. I really benefit from the deep breaths.

Marcia, fingers crossed that your package arrives today:)

shelly, fingers also crossed that your elliptical comes today. The first day I got mine I did like 3 workouts on it, LOVE IT!!!

Wendy, Tylenol has never worked on any of my girls for ear infections. Ibuprofin is the way to go. It will reduce the swelling and inflammation and take away the pain. We are always well stocked in it. I say go for DM cardio only.

Barb, I guess we are lucky her in CA, no snow days! Glad you had a nice 4 mile run:)

Judy, Yes, I am definitley enjoying my elliptical. For upper body lately, I have been doing the ME upper body workout and it kicks me in the pants. I do up a few of the weights, but it really is a fast effective workout. I am one of those people that never have had DOMS from Butts and Gutts, but always from Gs legs and definitley leaner legs. I think I like Butts and Gutts so much, because it is very doable for me.

Karen, that is great that you ordered Eionn Finn. He is wonderful. I find that a run after my butt is sore kind of releases some of the tension and loosens it up a bit. Hope it feels good:)

Gayle, okay, I give up, what is DOR? Oh, wait is it day of rest? If it is, I say go for it:)

Jess, I used to have the same problem with my legs being bulky. About 1 year ago I stopped doing any type of heavy leg workouts. I only do endurance based ones with very light weights. Legs and glutes and BG really have helped with that. I also do a lot of lying leg workouts. HAve fun at the Y!

Kristi, have fun with your run. I have a subscription to Oxygen and I love it.

Christine, (((((HUGS))))) I hope you start to feel better. STAY HOME and rest:)

CArole, that IS a leg fryer you have planned today. Enjoy!

Judy, I hope you tv gets fixed. I hate when stuff like that happens.

Well ladies, I am off to take kids to school. Hopefully I will be back later.

Cheers!

Susan

Hi! Back just to report that my DOR (day of rest, Susan, lol) has been cancelled! I put the boys on the bus and hustled to the basement. LIC premix cardio and BM2 upper body segements. Felt great. Save the DOR for another day! lol

Gayle

Gayle--good job keeping busy exercising!

Susan-have fun with your tea and L&G

Judy-- I am very sorry about the TV!! Do you have a portable DVD player you can use? ((((hugs))))) for you.

Karen--well if you need to be your a$$ in the freezer, you can just do it? Or an ice bath.. or pigeon pose a lot if it helps or sometimes hamstring roll-ins with the ball can help my butt. You earned some big DOMS woman!!

Carole -- snow day because temperatures are so "extreme." I think it's hazard to run the risk of kids waiting at the bus stop. The roads are fine. The sidewalks are ice-free. It's party time...

Barb

:) :)

Carole—after your workout today, you will be joining Karen for some freezer time!

Jess—Hope your TV gets fixed soon, too.

Christine & Susan-- you're meeting day is fast approaching. You are lucky Cheetahs!

-Barb

:)

I am busy, busy today. DS has an IEP, DD has dance lessons, I have homework. My workout today was hill repeats. I was going to do GS chest and tris but I am out of time. I'll just have to do a Wendy and shift my workouts over a day!

Sorry, no personals for now but I might be able to squeeze 'em in later! I hope you all have an awesome day today! Talk to you later.....

This is one chatty pack of Cheetahs today!! I love it!! I just had morning appointments today and am off to the dentist in a few minutes for a cleaning (I hope that's all it is!). Had a great workout this morning with the KP/LG 80 minute circuit, the time just flew by. I'm still doing well with my 'cleaner' eating, nice to see some changes in my body, especially my face, my chin gets weak pretty quickly if I put on weight. A few more pounds and I'll be sorry to say goodbye to my boobsx( :)

Catch up later Cheetahs!!

Take Care
Laurie

Karen...okay now....the visual of what you want to stick in the freezer?....http://smilies.sofrayt.com/eng/giggle2.gif[/img]

Susan..enjoy L&G and your busy day...

Gayle...good workout!

Barb..I figured it was because of the weather conditions. I might have to wait for tomorrow for the freezer time...:)

Hi to Laurie and Elaine...:)

WOW is all I can say. I got spanked by Imax3.... forgot how tough that one is?....added my own leg curls and extensions to the squats and plie squats of S&H.

I just got done with 30 minutes of YogaX. It felt really good. I didn't want to do anything too heavy, so that fit the bill. No groin pulls this time - I was very careful.

Carole - I got spanked by IMax 3 yesterday! It's a toughie, but it's fun. I dread #1 the most - then #7 then #4... The others are fairly doable! :+

alright ladies, i cannot tell a lie. i ran on the TM for 4.5 miles, while previewing YogaX, does that count:p

i just can't wrap my brain around a yoga day and a rest day. so i've decided i will do yoga on my rest or stretch day. that way i also get one long run (long for me, lol) in.

carole- love, love, love Imax3. i agree it is a killer}(

susan- i totally agree with what you said to me. i do need to learn to take it down and understand that i can get a good workout in without killing myself;) ...awwww, someday soon, lol.

wendy- yes i am absolutely loving being a personal trainer. there are lots of things i didn't know and/or understand about the job but i sure am getting some good lessons. ie-scheduling.

good news ladies, i have an interview with the ymca ( a different one) to teach turbokick and possible other classes. the interview is on next wednesday...wish me luck.

hello to all of my cheetahs....
