Good Morning Cheetahs!
I thought I’d start my post with a tribute to a man who was definitely a Cheetah! Jack Kirk, the legendary ``Dipsea Demon'' who completed 67 consecutive foot races on the challenging Dipsea trail through Mt. Tamalpais State Park, had died. He was 100. The run is 7.1 miles across a very challenging terrain. His last race was 2004 when he was unable to complete the race, but he did complete it at 95! I want to be like him!!

Today I’ll be resting. I’m tired and not feeling 100% - with as much crud running around my office, not to mention that DH was sick early last week, this is not surprising. I’m hoping I’ll fight it off and be in top form tomorrow. Feeling pleasantly sore, though, from the X S&A and spinning.
Cathy – I’m over here cheering you on for your Biggest Winner competition! Go Cathy Go! Or should I say – Lose Cathy Lose?
Barb – Enjoy your run and abs! Glad you had fun visiting DS’s classroom! I think cycling to me is like running is to Carole. I enjoy just getting out there and riding – the further the better. I’m sure once I start road riding again (read – once I get my bike into the shop and can get out on it again!) 13 miles will seem a lot longer than it did when I was regularly riding 50-60 miles.
Marcia – Enjoy watching your niece!! I love that kind of thing! Good for her! Oh have fun with P90X – I’m really enjoying it! The eating plan – which I’m sure someone else has said – is very South Beach-like – lean proteins, etc – especially the first month. It’s clean, but he suggests protein shakes and power bars which are not very clean. Most of us followed our own modified version of it.
Wendy – I think I’m going to be facing what you are today cold-wise. I can feel the frog hopping around in my throat. I’m not a fan of that either. Let me know if Yoga helps – I’ll do it tonight!! Stretch X is only 45 minutes. It’s okay – I do it every now and again.
Judy – DO YOUR YOGA!! And report back here immediately once it’s done! *said in best drill sergeant voice*. :+ I could use a good stretch, too. Might do Stretch Max before I leave this morning.
Laura – your eating sounds like mine! Good through the day – not as good at night. But, remember the scale does weird things and stepping on daily you’ll see fluctuations like that. One day you cannot let get you down. You’ll get that back off…
Karen – enjoy your treadmill run looking out into the snow! Wish I was there running with you!
Kristi – I think that’s why so darned many of us are up with the birds and work out then because life has that tendency of getting into the way of workouts!
Linda – glad to hear your leg is feeling better! Great job on the run!
Sunny – hmm, sounds like a lot of us are P90Xing! Cool! 8 Clients?!? WOW!!! I’m impressed!
Carole – If you use a mountain bike, I might be able to go ahead enough so that you don’t cream me on the run! It does look nice, doesn’t it? Congrats on the TV!! I love our HD’s! YEAH! You’ll be styling for the Super Bowl!!!
Hello to all who come after – enjoy your day before Friday!!
