::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Sun, 2/18

Good morning ladies,
I am a LAZY cheetah this morning....ahhhh. I am drinking my green tea with my jammies still on. I love Sundays and lounging. My girl are jump roping outside in this lovely CA day:)

We are going out to Boston Market restaruant for lunch with my MIL and then off to some grocery shopping and errands. My hubby and I are going out tonight for a date night. I am so looking forward to it. I really want to see dream girls, but I don't think he is up for that one, because he says it is a chick flick.(LOL)!

My eating is still on track which is amazing for me on a weekend. I am going to do PUB for the 2nd time this week and then about 30 minutes on the elliptical. My back feels great but my left glute has been pretty sore for some reason. I may be foam rolling it too much. I should just leave it alone for a bit.

CAthy, sorry to hear about your BC dvd. That is such a good one with ME on it. So, what workout did you end up doing? Have fun at the movies and don't go nutso with the popcorn}(

Karen, I can so relate to your story about your daughter getting you up. My middle child who is 6 will come in and whisper my name and stand over me and it always scares the daylights out of me. She has night terrors about once a month for about 3 days. I always feel exhausted the next day. Well, I hope you can get your run in and feel great! What are the ages of your children again and how many?

Shelly, another PUB doer today. I love that workout!!! How do you like your new elliptical and do you consider close to a run? My endurance has gotten so much better with the elliptical than it ever did with running. HAve you noticed that too?

Laurie, sounds like you had a great mommy moment. Nothing better than watching your child do something and feel so completely overwhelmed with love and admiration. WOW, that is quite a workout you did this morning. I would say you burned quiet a few cals:)

Shelley, It is a PUB day!!! You are smart to do the ab work first. I will definitley try that as well. Enjoy you day:)

Wendy, Why are you guys moving? Have a great run and what is your yoga choice today?

Linda, love your avatar, so pretty:) AWESOME workout!!! I have yet to try IMAX3 since my back injury. It is my all time favorite cathe step workout. I will be doing it very soon}(

Marcia, we want some before and after pics of the power90x. Are you seeing results already? BTW, did you order the vita muffins. I totally love them!!!

Laura, I think you will love the butts and gutts premix. I have been doing it about 2 x per week and have had great results. My heartate is through the roof on that one.

Carole, fingers crossed on your run that your glute will not hurt. I would love to do a half marathon. I am not sure my back would, but I will check out the info in a bit. Did you have your dinner out?

Gayle, BROWNIES!!!! Oh how I love those. Enjoy your rest day and those delicious brownies}(

Christine, I am like that with hamburgers and fries too. I had my binge at Mcdonalds of all places last week and it was pretty tasty. I only splurge on that stuff once every couple of months. Now, peanut m&m's are totally more my style}( That is funny you have a crush on Andy. I have a little crush on this guy at my gym who is probably about 20. Oh well, we are married, not dead!

Barb, very impressive run, especially in the cold. My sister lives in Holland Michigan. Is that far from you? I hope your kids do well at the swim meet.

Okay cheetahs, that is it for me. I have to go get out of these pj's. Have a great day!

Susan

Hi everybody! I'm in cleaning mode, but I just wanted to say HI again!

Barb-I'll take a look at that recipe, if you don't mind!

Sorry to tempt everybody with the brownies, but YUMMY! LOL

AND....for those of us lazy cheetahs. Rest assured and know that I am still in my jammies, haven't showered, and even have greasy hair that's sticking up in many different directions today! LOL

Back to cleaning!

Gayle

G'afternoon Cheetahs!! I'm feeling MUCH better today!! Darn sinuses are finally beginning to clear up. I think I've been so used to having packed sinuses I forgot what it is to breathe through my nose!!

We had a great day y'day. We got a new TV!! Nothing too super fancy, but nicer than our old one! It's a 32" LCD in Hi-def. I have to say that Cathe & crew look even better on the new tv! ;-) I ended up doing PUB y'day too (before I knew y'all were doing it too!), and then did the abs (and ALL of the pikes- woohoo!), and then I did the floorwork from PLB.

Then this morning I did all of B & G, I haven't done the whole thing in a while. Then got everyone up & ready for church. Kiersten's doing much better too, no fever & getting over her ear infection.

Greg took Hannah out sledding this afternoon & the other 2 are napping. Ahhh, peace & quiet! I ran the vacuum & picked up & am now going to do my ball Pilates workout & then relax! ;-) Sundays are usually my rest days but since I was sick I took the day off on Fri. I love it when I'm getting my energy back! }( Knee is still feeling good too & that's AWESOME! I think I might start doing some early 3-4 milers before Greg heads to work this week. I need to get my butt back outdoors running to see how my knee handles it. And I love it anyway.

Cathy ~ Post a review of Music & Lyrics- my friends & I want to see that one! I love Hugh Grant & Drew Barrymore & it looks like a cute movie!

Have a great Sunday!

Hello ladies,

very quick check in for me today. sorry, no time for personals.

i did C& B then went to the gym for a couple of CEC cert classes. step choreography and lean muscle. in between the classes i did 40 mins on the elliptical.

i didn't take a pic yesterday because the batteries in the camera weren't working. so i need to get some new ones....GRRRR

seems like everyone is having a great day, makes me happy:D

Okay cheetahs.... help me down from my cloud9:) Just had a wonderful run! I completed a 7.2 mile hilly run and felt great :7
I even sprinted some the last half mile. Feeling like the old me is comin back:) Musn't get to eager though or I'll find myself on the injured list again!

Cathy- How frustrating for you (defective DVD) Especially BC-- that's such a fun one x( Hope you have a great time at the movies to make up for it. Did you finish your paper?

Laurie- Congrats on getting through the PP/SS mix. Isn't it a great one? I also had DOMS everywhere after this one. Even the biceps which almost never happens to me. A big congratulations to Faith! You must be so proud of her!!! Anyway you can post a pic of her? Great job on IMAX 3 today!

Shelley- I'm with you on the PUB! I usually have to break after the UB section and put something else, like some cardio in before I tackle the abs. I once did it straight through and felt like the queen of the universe! I'm planning on tackling this after my check in here. I sense a challenge here which I can never resist so I'll see if I can do it straight through again. I hope you can find a suitable HM to run. They are such fun!!!

Wendy- I wondered why you haven't mentioned p90x lately. I guess you've been taking a break from it. Hope you can get in your run today!!! BTW, is Middletown close to you? There is a 5k (Ryan's Run) there in June which I am eyeing.

Linda- Another IMAX3er today! That and PUB are the workouts of the day. You have got me very curious about Barry's bootcamp....
You're going to get a rep as a serious enabler!

Marcia- Glad you're enjoying p90x! We're all anxious to hear your results!!!! Hope you can get in a run also... it'll be a nice change of pace for you I think.

Laura- The leg blast premix of B&G is a real kicker!!! I think
you'll really like the challenge.

Carole- I'm so sorry your continuing to have issues with the ham/glute:( I hope it doesn't keep you from you 10 miler but you gotta do the right thing.... (which you always do!) Your HM sounds so nice. That weekend is a popular one for races!!! There will be alot of us doing HMs:7

Gayle- You probably look cute with your hair sticking out and in your jammies! I'd say you are well overdo and deserving of a great rest day.. Did you say brownies:9 :9

Christine- Going for PUB also? I haven't done this for a while and Shelley has inspired me to try to go straight through. I usually do 12-15-20 lbs on the biceps which is right before abs so I may be falling flat on my face! I'm sorry you won't be watching your favorite hottie on the tennis match! I't nice that you can treat your friends!

Barb- Wow- a run in nice "balmy" 18 degree weather  The temps for me just now were around 50 degrees for my run.... I consider you an iron woman!!! I am truly amazed.

Susan- Yes, I have noticed quite a difference in my endurance since I've been using my new EXT. The hill run I just completed was one that I rarely have been able to run without any walk breaks. This time I cruised all those killer hills :7 Have a great EXT time yourself today!

Okay.... time to go hit the weights:eek:

Later,
ShellyC

Hi SunnyD- busy busy as usual!! I'm still holding you to that pic!
Wow, I can't believe your workout schedule superwoman!

Jess- Hey there! Congrats on the new TV!!! Sounds awesome :)
I'll be eager to hear how you fare on your outdoor runs! Best of luck to you... I know it's been a long and frustrating battle for you with the ITB issues but it sounds like you're on the right track now!!!

ShellyC

Shelly!!!!

Middletown is the next town over from me! OMG girl! We HAVE to meet if you do that. What's the date??? :7 :7 :7

I actually am not on a break from the X, I just had to switch a couple of things around this week to make it work for me schedule-wise. I'm still X'ing though, don't you worry 'bout that! LOL }(

Afternoon Cheetahs!

Well I was hard-pressed to get motivated today. I must have changed my mind about going to the gym atleast 5x! LOL...

I did alot of nothing today although we DID get the spare room cleaned out upstairs. Now instead of looking like a storage room/garbage dump, it actually looks like a spare bedroom only it has a futon in it instead of a bed. We threw sooooo much stuff away...it felt GREAT to purge!:) I just hope we can keep it from getting cluttered up with cr@p again.

I finally got my arse in gear and went to the gym around 2:30-3:00. It's only open until 4 so I think the pressure of losing my opportunity helped to motivate me. I still wasn't what you would call IN THE MOOD but I went anyway and I'm glad I did. I knocked out 3.7 miles to the tune of an ITread work out. I'm happy considering I was doubting I would make it at all!:)

I don't know if yoga is going to happen as I forgot that DH and are going out tonight. We don't have the Joey so we are taking advantage. ;)

Christine-What is L&B!? Girl, I thought you were doing a P90X rotation and you ask me what is L&B!? You should be ashamed of yourself! LOL :p

Sorry, no time for all of the personals but you know I'm good for it tomorrow!:)

Have a great evening everyone.
I'm not sure if I'll be back today or not.

TOODLES!:D

Hey Wendy! This race is sponsored by the Jersey Shore Running Club and the Kaiser Memorial Foundation. Sounds like it will be for a good cause! Anyway, the date is June 23rd, Saturday. I almost did this race last year but opted instead to run the Barneget Bay 8k.
It's described as a scenic and chellenging run through Middletown's horse country. It should be lots of fun and getting to meet you would make it extra special:7 :7 :7

Maybe some other Jersey or East Coast cheetahs would be interested!

ShellyC

OK - it's 5PM and my upper body is still suffering from DOMS!!! I must've worked them harder than I thought }( I haven't had time to get out and do a run, but there's still time. My motivation is slowly creeping down, but I have a Tastefully Simple meeting in town in an hour, so maybe after that I will go for a nice run in town. It will be peaceful, quiet and dark - PERFECT!

Have a great night everyone - I'll be back maybe later if I get a chance.

Marcia.

Shelly - Sounds like an awesome run! LOL, don't mean to be an enabler :+ Well, except when Wendy told my to enable her }( Just kidding :7 But I do really like the workout!

Barb - Yes, I do have Fluidity. I never gave it a fair shot, though. I only used it for less than a month. I had the same problem that you are worried about! How on earth to fit it in! so after Cathy talking about it (and everyone else), I decided I should try it some more. Just a little while ago I did the Seat and Thigh workout on it. That one is just around 20 minutes. I am thinking "maybe" I can do one of the Fluidity workouts in the evenings. The Seat and thigh is 21 minutes, the Intermediate is 38 minutes and the Advanced is 42 minutes. It kind of bothers my knees, though. I am worried about that. We will see! Sounds like a very cold run! You are one determined tough cookie~ ;-)

Susan - That sounds like such a perfect morning! Lounging in the jammies and the kids being able to jumprope outside! Sounds perfect! I can just picture the warm sunshine and blue skies! We have snow and very cold wind :-( Brr! Good job on the eating! Thanks for saying that about my avatar ...that was sweet! Enjoy your day and date night!

Laurie - Yep..I was your Imax3 partner for the day! I liked it from the beginning, but it seems like I like it more and more as time goes on! I do like it a lot better than I used to!

Jess - I am glad you and your girls are feeling a tad better! Congrats on your new tv! Sounds like a wonderful day and good workouts!

Well, I did the Seat and Thigh workout of Fluidity. I am going to try to add it in the evenings a few nights a week and see how it goes. Next time, I think I will do the intermediate workout. I need to give my Supreme Pilates a chance, too. But....right now, they are just gathering dust x( I do think they are both good and would really serve a good purpose in my training schedule...if I could just figure out how to fit them in without having to work out for 2 1/2 hours. :-(

Good grief! I am jabbery...sorry!

Linda

Susan- My girls ( three of them) are 10, 8, and my last one will be 5 in one week. They all just turned their ages in Dec and Jan.

Christine- Believe me I was about to snap. I'm thinking make a little noise why don't you. I feel like I felt like I was about ready to be attacked or somthing. The thing is my dh just slept through the whole thing.

Cathy...if you think you want it, I have BC on VHS and I would be happy to send it to you. Just no premixes...:)

Christine...The run went good, a bit of pain but not bad. Ok I looked up Andy...not bad:
http://images.askmen.com/men/sports/pictures/folder_1/andy_roddick/andy_roddick_150.JPG

Linda...good job with Imax3! My ham/glute cooperated well...

Laurie...not sure I love Imax3 yet...That half is a nice one. My hammies let me run 12 miles!

Barb...sorry about the Blah feeling...:(...glad you got in 8 miles. I do love trails but you do have to be careful and speed is OUT of the question.

Susan...good job with your eating. Hope the workout went well too. My glute only hurt a bit. Dinner out is tonight with my family.

Shelly...good job with the hilly 7.2 miles. My ham/glute issue just started so I might have to bow out of the 10 miler.

Laura...EXT=Elliptical.

So I ran 12 miles. I did feel a bit of pain but not bad. I am sure this could be a piriformis issue...yuk...

Hey cheetahs…

Shelly :: WOO-HOO on your strong run! I will look into that race you mentioned to Wendy. It’d be great to meet up with some cheetahs!! Yes, I did finish my paper and the other project I had to do for the grad classes and my lesson plans are done as well. I’m getting observed this week and will be out one day on a professional day, so it took a little wrangling. Thanks for asking. I’m definitely making progress and should be out of the hole soon!

Laurie :: congrats to Faith on the 3rd place finish & for hanging tough despite being under the weather. We saw Music and Lyrics – very cute. Two thumbs up. Hugh Grant had a string of funny one-liners.

Shelley LC (short for limecat) :: Big popcorn fan here too! I confess ~ I even sprung for a small Coke. Yup - livin’ on the edge – that’s what I’m all about.

Wendy :: that stinks when the guests bag out for whatever reason…Glad you had fun anyway!…OMG, there are X haters???… Always get a chuckle out of your posts (not being IN THE MOOD)…have fun with DH tonight!

Linda :: yes…I did not last long, did I?…Now I’m wondering how long I will be able to resist Barry. *lol* It’s so funny how hearing about what someone else is doing makes us want to do the same workout, isn’t it?…Those workout times seem decent for using them as add-ons…what about them bugs your knees?

Marcia :: very cool about KenpoX…UPS tracking is not giving me a specific delivery date, but I’m thinking I might get mine tomorrow!!!

Laura :: how did you like the leg blast? It’s a doozy, eh?

Karen :: sorry about the poor night’s sleep!

Carole :: Glad the pain wasn't too bad...Yeah, he's easy on the eyes, isn't he?...Thanks for the BC VHS offer, but I am going to splurge on a new DVD…I don’t have the patience for VHS tapes anymore. *lol* I don't even have patience for DVDs that aren't chaptered. I wanted to scream at Powerstrike the other week.

Gayle :: yeowch! If there’s any cure for a bruised tailbone, it’s gotta involve brownies. Happy healing!

Christine :: I’m with you ~ I’d rob the cradle for Roddick. ;) I have bought other DVDs on eBay that turned out to be fine, but after hearing about the issues with bootleg, I’m just not going to risk it again.

Barb :: great job on overcoming the blahs to do an 8-miler…hope the kids did well at the meet.

Susan :: enjoy your date night tonight! What movie did you wind up seeing? I only did half of BC…I wanted to get to something else in this evening, but I don’t know if I feel like it at this point. I seem to have hit a little lazy slump the past couple of days. Great job on staying on track with the eating.

Jess :: congrats on the new TV ~ sweet!…It *was* a cute movie…see my post to Laurie above.

Hey Sunny! We’ll patiently await your pic in the cheetah shirt since it was YOUR great idea! :)

OK ladies...I'm off! Have a great night!
Cathy :)
