::::: CHEETAHS ::::: Sat., 2/3

Christine ~ I just cringed when I read your post about your fall!! OUCH!! I bet you have a lovely bruise from that! I hope you're feeling back to normal soon! And you're tall! I'm 5'7" so I'm not a shortie but not tall either. Most of my friends are about my height or taller so I feel like the short one sometimes! But I'm taller than all of the men on my dh's side (he's the tallest in his family at 5'11"!!).

I hope I'm recovered, but I still second guess every run. I hate that. I wish I could go back to those carefree 5 mile runs!!! UGH!! Oh well, I can't change it so I'll have to deal with it until I can get back there again.

Hope you enjoyed Spinervals, I've heard good things about it! I can't wait to get out biking again!

Hey everyone! I am late checking in today! It has been non-stop since I got up!

Anyway.....

Christine - Ouch!!! I am sorry about your fall! Have fun with your spin and getting your nails done! That was soooo cute about the "butt dust"! That sounds like something Chloe would say and do in church ;-)

Cathy - I sent you another p.m. Hope this one goes through! Let me know if it doesn't!

Elaine - Hi there! We have missed you! Glad you are doing okay!

Barb - Enjoy your kickboxing! I want to get outside to do a longish run too. But it is sooo cold here! anything under 32 is too cold for me to run outside:+ but I bought me a Underarmour face mask/hat so maybe I will get brave and try it tomorrow. But more than likely....I won't;-) That bread sounds fun to make! But..hope I don't mess it up! :+

Shelly - enjoy your cycling! I have never done a "judged" racewalk before! I have tried to perfect the racewalking technique but I am not that efficient. We were trying hard in Aruba to do it and I tripped over a rock hidden in the sand and fell forward and had to kind of jog a couple of steps to keep myself from falling. Well....my knees were bent and I was airborne for a second...so that would have disqualified me. We started cracking up and I said..."Well, guess I just got disqualified).

Gail - I sure hope your mom does well with her treatment and stays "up"! Good luck tomorrow!

Carole - Glad you got your tv hooked up! Enjoy KP&C and your legwork! My pace on speedwalking is just 4.8 mph most of the time on steadystate but I push it to 5.3 mph when I am doing intervals. I know...not real fast...but it feels like it with my shins on fire!

Well, I will try to be back later tonight and finish personals....we are getting ready to go to dinner.

Oh...I ran 5 miles on the TM and did GS BS&B. Leg felt really good today!

barb- thanks for the info!

cathy- I was at kroger today and they actually had that cleaneating diet book. good thing you told me it was a waste or I would have bought it.

christine- sorry about your fall! take it easy!!

talk with you all later!

Hi everybody. I only had time right now to read the posts and make a quick one myself.

Elaine-I am engaged. Actually, we got engaged almost 1 year ago....somewhere between Feb 8th (my BDay) and VDay last year, can't remember the exact date....shame on me, lol! We're having big problems, though, trying to figure out how to join our 2 families. He has 2 children from a previous marriage too.

ANYWAY....

I'm getting a bit worried about tomorrow's race. The weather is supposed to be SINGLE DIGITS tomorrow at 9am! ACK! LOL. I'm packing my stuff up now, with plenty of layers. I'm thinking about a scarf or a turtleneck so that I can cover my mouth in case the air is just too cold. Anybody ever do that?

Gayle

Didn't get a chance to say hello to Christine, Jess and Linda.

Christine, It's good to "see" you again! When we all have our Cheetah shirts us CA women should find a race to do together. Anything up your way?

Jess, Your triathlon is the same day as my marathon. I'll be happy to have the inspiration you will not doubt provide while I'm out there.

Hi Linda, It's good to be here!

Gayle, Yes, I remember you getting engaged and it did seem like a while ago so I was thinking that you might be married now. I'm sure things will work out for the best, however that may be. Yikes on the below freezing weather tomorrow! Good luck and have fun.

Good Heavens Cheetahs!!! You all must have had WAY to much caffeine today(LOL)!!! Just kidding. I am glad to see everyone in the spirit of working out and chit chatting.

I did the Butts and Gutts leg blast premix and the floorwork of legs and glutes,OUCH!!! It was an awesome workout!

I have declared it a eating weekend. Is anyone on board with me? There is no way I can be a good clean eater this weekend. I had chevy's last night and then chocolate cake for a friends b-day and the we just bought 2 bakers square pies to take to a friends house for dinner tonight. We bought french silk and country apple. I really do need a life that doesn't involve an obsession with food(LOL)!!!

Anyway, I am off to vaccuum and get the girls ready for our evening out.

Have a great evening ladies and hopefully tomorrow I will have time for some personals:)

Susan

No Susan, you can NOT tempt me!! :p Baker's Square, I love that place!! French silk is my brother's FAVORITE. He'd be jealous! What did you get at Chevy's? I love their chicken fajitas. My kids LOVE watching them make the tortillas & getting the fresh ones to eat!

And hey, you're so tiny that I'm sure a few treats won't hurt you!! (I know, I've hugged you! ;-) ) And I'm sure you burned off some good cals w/ that workout!!

I'm going to try to be good tomorrow night at the Superbowl party, I already know there will be lots of junk there!! Taco dip, lots of chips & dips, salsa, little smokies (I'm making those cause my kids love 'em!), etc. Although I'm sure my friend Michelle will have a veggie tray as she is a healthier eater too.

Hope you enjoyed your evening out!! We're having a quiet evening at home which is nice!

Hey Elaine! It's great to see you again too! I'm glad you're posting again, we miss you!! How cool that you're running a marathon on my triathalon day. Kudos to you, I can honestly say that I NEVER want to run another marathon.

Have a great evening!

We are home from dinner now. It was great! We went to a wonderful Italian rest. that I love. Anyway....

Susan - That is so funny that you said that about the caffeine! I did have more than usual:+ I usually never have any after my morning coffee, but my daughter and I went to lunch together and I had iced tea. :) I was living dangerously ;-) I sure have not been a clean eater this weekend! So I was on board with ya!

Laurie - Hope the next coffee date turns out better! Sorry about the ankle!

Judy -

Wendy - I agree with you on speed walking be "harder" than running. I think it may be because we are more accustomed to running??? But it sure does burn my shins, too. It is getting easier and better, though. I usually just am able to go between 4.8 and 5.3 mph. I know the "real" racewalkers can do 6 or 7 minute miles. HOpe your cough is better and that you enjoyed your step class!

Judy - I am 5'9" and I am sure you could smoke me running! I don't know why on earth I am so slow ;( Hope you enjoyed your workout!

Jess -Oh no! Hope your head gets better! Oh my goodness! You are fast one! I could not run 8mph! I'll bet your hair looks pretty!

Sunny - Enjoy P90X!!!

Laura - I saw that clean eating book article in Oxygen. I was going to go look for it,but like you, I guess now I won't! Thanks Cathy for letting us know!

Well, I am tired. Goodnight everyone

Linda
